@Mkg8132: Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed
It means that you likely won't see too many of the wiki admins participating here, though of course every person is free to take part in the Discussions if they wish.
It also means that as the community here grows, there will likely be some self-organization. Fandom staff will be keeping an eye out for good moderator candidates, but users should not fall over themselves to volunteer right away.
The best things you can do, if you want to be a mod are:
>Be consistent with good behavior and helping other users
>Report problematic posts and replies using the report option
>Confirm your email address with Fandom, to make sure you can get email notifications if you want them
>Check out callofduty.wikia.com on your desktop machine to get a better understanding of how the whole site works -- there's lots more than just these discussions!
These are all great tips, even if you are not interested in being a moderator.
Those who are curious should try their hand at article editing. Even if the admins and editors are not interested in participating here, they will always welcome more edits!
You can control the types of emails you get in your user preferences.
You can leave Sam a message on his talk page:
callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:Crazy_sam10
He would reply on your talk page:
callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:The_Courier_NCR_for_life
This setup can be a little confusing at first. You can read more about talk pages at callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Help:Talk_pages
Be sure to confirm your email address with Fandom so that you can get email notifications when articles and talk pages you've worked on have new changes. You'll also get emails about Discussions replies and upvotes.
There's a good list of the community policies here: callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Call_of_Duty_Wiki:Policies
When you decide what you might want to edit, check out that list and see what might be applicable. Feel free to ask questions if you're not sure about something!
A good one to read now is: callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Call_of_Duty_Wiki:Be_bold
This discussions area is just getting started, and community leaders will decide on the guidelines around off-topic conversation. For now, please keep posts topical about Call of Duty. There's plenty to discuss!
The guidelines are linked at the top of the post list. If you have already dismissed that, you can find them in the app settings area (for iOS). The current guidelines are the default Fandom guidelines which state that "Off-topic conversations will be deleted" so please abide by that unless you see something updated.
You can see the list of admins at callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Call_of_Duty_Wiki:Administrators
The Moderator user group has not been used on this wiki before, so there are not any requirements set out. If you're interested, it may be a while before anything happens -- but keep being an upstanding member of the community!
Editing on the wiki is the best thing someone can do if they're interested in any kind of special role. Add some content on your wiki profile page too!
