Definitely extinction. Super unique and fun to play with friends and was relatively both a challenge and straightforward for people that wanted to complete the Easter eggs.
In terms of the traditional zombies Infinite Warfare Zombies was amazing. The various themes, fun nature of the story, maps and the gameplay/abilities was neat
MW3 2011 is atleast high A tier or min S tier
I would swap infinite warfare with where Advanced warfare is, push Ghosts to a low B tier and put MW19 above Cold War, and Cod ww2 in B tier where BO declassified is but otherwise not a bad list.
I agree it truly was a lame and undeserved death for the reboot soap. It felt so tasteless and put in just for the sake of something tragic and as a plot device.
People can argue it was Makarov’s warning to price and him in the chopper after the Verdansk incident, but the way they executed it compared to the og death scene of Soap is really bland.
Soap needed more development and screen time.
You misread my argument.
I said it’s likely The FUTURE part of BO2 will likely be non canon as it won’t make sense with the Modern Warfare universe timeline.
The old timeline of the classic characters during the 80’s and 90’s in BO2 I believe won’t be non canon, so the events of Menendez cartel being formed, Josefina’s death and Kravchenko being in Afghanistan could still take place.
The devs of course have the right to decide canonicity since they tailor the game and storyline.
But there is obvious canon established in the various cycles of Warzone in MW19 and Cold War that has been carried from each other to now MW2 and 3. There’s YouTube videos explaining the lore if someone is still confused.
I agree with you though. Vanguard’s team were quite sloppy with the canon storyline and went completely off the rails
Ghosts multiplayer wasn’t horrible either except for map design and some killstreaks for the base game. The consensus is that the ghost dlcs were great and one of the more favourable ones in franchise.
Wallrunning and gameplay/maps in BO3 and IW was better, but advanced warfare as a whole package was kinda mid and forgettable
It isn’t I’m sure. A good portion of caldera’s events were odd and the community theories floating around is that Vanguard Warzone is Butcher’s sanity being inconsistent surviving and staying in isolation for decades when narrating it to the Cold War crew.
Though that doesn’t explain how he would know Rorke, Menendez and Al Asad for example
Funnily enough you just basically described Advanced Warfare and Vanguard ^
Warzone for the most parts is canon. Leaving aside the haunting events, Godzilla King Kong crossovers etc, the base stories in each warzone game cycle are canon to the shared universe.
What’s wrong with asking for IW or ghosts 2?
Decent campaign left on a cliffhanger, extinction mode was fun, gunplay and the perk/load out system was great.
Only criticism it had were lackluster maps and the kill streaks, but as an original game title it was better than the likes of Advanced Warfare and had the bad luck of following 5-6 great cods in a row.
Infinite Warfare likewise fell victim to being the third game in the exo games and people were bored by then. Otherwise the campaign, space setting, graphics, zombies and multiplayer was also nice
Black ops 2 will likely not be canon
People loved Zombies in space land, Rave in the redwoods and Shaolin shuffle for the map design/look, the abilities and the Easter eggs.
The ones that weren’t as popular in the majority were Radioactive thing and Beast from beyond largely for the Easter eggs and bosses
In MW3 or the next Black Ops games there will likely be more connections.
Yes the new modern warfare games and Black ops 1 and Cold War are canon in same universe. Go watch the story cutscenes of Warzone and Cold War to see the link.
Zakhaev was in Cold War storyline as a canon and Nova 6 or a version of it was unleashed by Al Asad in Warzone. Price and Woods appearing in MW19 and CW multiplayer was crossover for pre order only so only that isn’t canon.
Viktor Zakhaev creates the zombie outbreak in the new MW3 after discovering the events of Cold War zombies storyline and Ravenov returns this time.
There are more links I’m sure but can’t remember at this moment, go watch videos of you’re still not convinced.
Shaolin Shuffle was amazing idk what you’re talking about
I’m talking about how Black Ops 2 2012 will be non canon as the timeline’s events and technology will not make sense or line up with the events of BO1/CW and the reboot MW19 games as they happen in the same universe.
What they will do is something similar to how MW is doing with their stories. Bringing back characters from the old game in a slightly different way and putting them with new storylines and characters.
So in this case, they might push into how Perseus influenced Zakhaev and likely Makarov’s motives in the current day and how they can tie it with Menendez Cartel/Cordis Die being allies or partners with Makarov, Viktor Zakhaev or Al Asad in a larger network.
I think It will be like what they do with the modern warfare reboot. Raul Menendez will be back for sure but will work alongside or be somewhat affiliated with Perseus, Zakhaev and Makarov.
The story and timeline of Black ops 2 will be non canon but I think they’ll borrow elements from it like Menendez’s sister & Cordis Die
Easily Makarov. From his voice, the way he behaves, his thought process and the things he has done behind the scenes as well as upfront is something that’s definitely top tier villain level.
Only person that comes close to him are General Shepherd and Raul Menendez but even then there’s something about them that doesn’t reach Makarov’s level
How did he die?
MW19 was amazing as a whole package.
Graphics, soundtrack, audio design, gameplay, gunsmith, load outs, Warzone and of course the campaign.
Cold War would come second as it was good but only after it’s entire life cycle I feel due to the fixes
