Ah, makes sense. Figure 2025’s entry (given its Treyarch again from what I hear) should be a redo of the BO2 future campaign, as it needs to be redone to fit today. Sorry but it was a bit too fantastical even back in 2012. Thought it might be fun if the BO team met the MW crew. Mason and Harper meet Price and Soap with Woods and Adler as old dogs giving the missions. Could be cool to see the BO team and MW as two sides of the same coin. Here’s hoping at least.
Just found this in my collection and might pop it in.
I was honestly hoping it would be a remake of the 2025 storyline of BO2 if that’s where they’re going with this. Clearly they have a set canon in mind, even with the multiple choices. Plus the future campaign in the OG BO2 was so weird. It needs to be improved.

I never even bothered with MW3 after what I heard. More of a WW2 Black Ops fan anyways.
I didn’t even think Kuwait was negatively portrayed- the Iraqis were the enemy in that level, too.
I put most of the WW2 stuff in the same continuity but until Cold War I thought MW was its own thing. Then we’re in the politburo and Zakhaev shows up. As a preference I prefer BO save for the weird future entries of 3 and 4. Just like the characters and setting more. Give me Woods over Price any day of the week.
Ghosts obviously was its own thing, and Vanguard I put in with the Black Ops series. What’re your thoughts?
I’m really enjoying it! Always loved Black Ops, particularly the period set ones. I’m hoping they redo BO2’s future campaign into something a bit more grounded in reality.

Good. I prefer the past stuff. BO2 was the only exception. Modern Warfare, aside from the original, has never done if for me. I get why they’re popular but have just never done it for me I guess.
Was actually thinking about redownloading it on my 5. Really enjoyed the online play. Vanguard and MW2 just aren’t doing it for me.
I’m more a Black Ops fan and just a casual Modern Warfare player.
It’s a reboot, one that also connects Black Ops.
