"Bluey" Smith is a character featured in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Story[]
Tobruk[]
Smith was a part of an Australian contingent deployed in Tobruk. Himself, Lucas Riggs, Desmond "Des" Wilmot and other Australian soldiers were often looked down upon and called "Rats" by their superiors. Smith was assigned to a demolition team that consisted of Lieutenant Robert Jacobs, Private Riggs, and Private Desmond. The team was part of a regiment under the command of Major Henry Hamms, who was often disrespectful to the Australian soldiers and often took the credit for their accomplishments.
During this time, the team was assigned to ambush an incoming Nazi convoy due to the lack of munitions the Australians and British had. They had prepared explosives near the ridge with Riggs going to set it off, until Hamms decided he should do it. This in turn made him mess up and blame it on Smith and the others. They were able to eliminate the German Armed Forces, although Bluey got stabbed with a Knife by a hidden soldier. The soldier however attempted to escape in a truck before being killed.
El Alamein[]
Months later, in El Alamein, Bluey is apart of The Battle of El Alamein while they are ambushed by German forces. During this ordeal, Lucas and Des distract the enemies and successfully take the nearby ridge, allowing Jacobs to set off a Flare, successfully winning the battle.
