The 13th Guards Rifle Division was an infantry division of the Red Army that fought during the Battle of Stalingrad in World War II. Out of more than 10,000 men assigned to the division, only around 260 survived the battle.[1]

In GameEdit

In Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty: Finest Hour, the player takes the role of two different members of the 13th Guards Rifle Division during the Battle of Stalingrad.

Call of DutyEdit

In Call of Duty, the player plays as Alexei Ivanovich Voronin, who survived the battle of Stalingrad, and took part in the battle for Pavlov's House.

Call of Duty: Finest HourEdit

In Call of Duty: Finest Hour, the player takes control of Aleksandr Sokolov and Tanya Pavelovna during the battle of Stalingrad.

Call of Duty 2Edit

In Call of Duty 2, the player plays as Vasili Ivanovich Koslov. Vasili and his fellow comrades traveled to Moscow for "Red Army Training" with Commissar Letlev, he later goes to Stalingrad and fought there for most of the war, and took part in an assault on Stalingrad City Hall and in a major defense against a German counter-attack.
