The 2K12 Kub is a large Russian tracked medium range surface-to-air missile. It is designed to destroy hostile cruise missiles, aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The 2K12 Kub can be seen as a static vehicle in multiple levels in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and appears as scenery in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

The 2K12 Kub can first be seen in the campaign level "Crew Expendable" in the cargo hold of the container ship. Several 2K12 Kubs are visible in "The Coup" at a large OpFor military base the player passes. However, it is not seen being deployed against the US coalition force. The 2K12 Kub makes its final appearance in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the mission "All In", where multiple 2K12 Kubs can be seen surrounding the missile base. The 2K12 Kub plays an inconsequential role to the plot and only appears as scenery. The multiplayer maps of "All In" and "Countdown" feature heavy numbers of Kubs as scenery.

In the campaign mission "Of Their Own Accord" a single 2K12 Kub can be seen at the SAM battery near the World War II Memorial. Following "Of Their Own Accord," in "The Gulag", several can be seen, but they do not fire, and in "Contingency" at least two 2K12 Kubs can be spotted at the sub base.
