The A-10 is a cut pointstreak of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. In game files, it is possible to find several unused quotes from team announcers, indicating that the A-10 Thunderbolt II was planned to appear in multiplayer. In the Wii  version, the pointstreak is accessible via modding.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II

The A-10 returns in Call of Duty: Black Ops II as a Scorestreak Reward named "Warthog" that executes strafing runs, using its 30mm cannon and rocket pods, around the map multiple times. Upon being called in, the Warthog will perform four strafing runs, attacking enemy players within its line of sight. Although difficult to accomplish, it is possible to shoot it down. It has two flares, needing three rockets or Black Hats to destroy.

Call of Duty: Ghosts

The A-10 appears in multiplayer as the Air Superiority pointstreak. The A-10 also appears on the map Collision as a Field Order Reward. It also appears in the mission "Homecoming" where it provides strafe runs against the Federation. A-10 drones are controllable and the player will have a short duration of controlling the gun in one of the drones as it swings down to strafe run, firing 30mm rounds. It is also seen during several other levels, such as Severed Ties.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II

  • It has an unused HUD icon.
  • The A-10 is expected to remain in the US Air Force until 2028.

Call of Duty: Ghosts

  • This is the first time in the entire series that the A-10 is a drone, rather than a piloted vehicle.
  • It is also the first time that the A-10's Gatling Gun can be used by the player.
  • The cockpit is noticeably larger than in the other games the A-10 appears in.
