The ASM1 is a submachine gun that appears in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Multiplayer

The ASM1 sports good damage and moderate recoil, with recoil stabilizing under sustained fire whilst lowering the rate of fire of the weapon, similarly to the HAMR and AN-94.

The ASM1 has a very good ammunition capacity of 45 rounds in each magazine, and with the starting ammo being 45+135, allows for 180 rounds to be used up without many ammunition concerns. Recoil can be a major problem, and with most players using their exo suits to lead a attack, a lot of bullets can be wasted; as such, the foregrip is recommended, making it much more viable at range, combined with rifled barrel, this actually becomes a SMG/AR hybrid, and works well in that regard. Extended mags is a must as well, giving it a massive 67 rounds in a mag.

Note this gun does have sub-par hip fire accuracy for a SMG, so it is recommended to treat it more as a short ranged assault rifle, rather then a long ranged SMG, especially with extended mags. With this gun, it is almost imperative to get extended mags.

With this gun, the player can use the outskirts of the map to their advantage; the slower fire rate will not go over well against other SMGs or higher fire rate Assault Rifles.
