The Aetherscope is a device featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in the Zombies map Die Maschine. It is a portable scanner used for studying the dimension known as the Dark Aether. It is able to uncover Spectral Reflections of past events. It is a Requiem intel artifact and a key item used in the Seal the Deal questline, where it used to observe various Spectral Reflections.
Obtaining[]
Before the Aetherscope can be obtained, the player must turn on power, re-activate the Cyclotron and build the Pack-a-Punch Machine.
Once the Pack-a-Punch is built, a Dark Aether anomaly will spawn in Power. The player must enter the Dark Aether through this anomaly to grab the parts for the Aetherscope. There are three parts in total, which have a random spawning pattern each match.
- The Antenna is located in the Yard.
- The Middle Section is located in the Crash Site.
- The Bottom Section is located in the Particle Accelerator.
When a part is obtained, a group of Plaguehounds will spawn near where the part is located. If all the parts are not obtained before the Dark Aether forces the players back into the standard map, the rift will reopen after sometime has passed.
With all three parts, the Aetherscope can be crafted on the unique crafting table on the bottom floor of the Particle Accelerator, behind the Pack-a-Punch Machine.
