Agents are hostile Non-Playable Characters encountered in the Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 mode DMZ. They appear in every map available in the mode and are divided into four factions, Al-Qatala, Shadow Company, Las Almas Cartel, and Konni Group with each faction using a different set of weapons.
Following the Season Five update, the Las Almas Cartel Agents were removed from Al Mazrah and Koschei Complex. With the Season Five Reloaded update, the Las Almas Cartel Agents were added to the Cruise Terminal in Vondel while Shadow Company Agents were removed from Vondel and added back into Ashika Island. The release of Season Six removed Shadow Company Agents from Ashika Island while Konni Group Agents were added permanently into Al Mazrah at the destroyed Zaya Observatory.
Agents make a return in DMZ: Recon with the featured factions being Atlas Corporation and Kurohana Corporation.
Types of Agents[]
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II[]
Fighter[]
Fighter Agents are the lowest tier of Agents that can be encountered. Among the Fighter Agents can also be found sniper, RPG, and shield-wielding Agents.
Al-Qatala Fighters often use weapons such as Kastov-74u, RPK, Lockwood 300, Vaznev-9K, and LM-S. Shadow Company Fighters use the M4, M16, Lachmann-556, Lachmann Sub, Fennec 45, Bryson 800, SAKIN MG38, RAAL MG, EBR-14, SO-14 and FTac Recon. Las Almas Cartel Fighters use the M4A1, M16, 556 Icarus with or without a bipod. Konni Fighters use weapons such as Lachmann Sub, Vaznev-9K, Bryson 800, RPK, RAAL MG, ISO Hemlock, LA-B 330, and KV Broadside.
The Agents wielding shields use either a P890 or a .50 GS.
Infantry[]
Infantry Agents are the second tier of Agents that can be encountered. They are lightly armored, wearing an armor vest and a helmet.
Special Forces[]
Special Forces are the third and highest tier of Agents that can be encountered. They are heavily armored and can replace their Armor Plates while covered. They appear more aggressive, often running towards the players while shooting.
Al-Qatala Special Forces often use the Kastov 545, Kastov 762, Vaznev-9K, Bryson 800, and sometimes the M4. Shadow Company Special Forces can use the same weapons as the other Shadow Company Agents, but also use the Expedite 12 and Bryson 890, TAQ-56. Konni Special Forces uniquely use the TAQ-V, M4. Special Forces can also appear with shields, and can use a Vaznez-9K instead of a pistol like Fighters.
HVT[]
HVTs are special Agents tied to the "Eliminate HVT" Contract. The HVT are lightly armored wearing a helmet and an armored vest while also wearing civilian clothes such as colorful tracksuits. Even if no contract has been activated, killing an HVT and getting close to his body will reward the players with $6000.
The HVTs mainly use the Kastov 545 but they can also be seen using the TAQ-56 and M4.
In Al Mazrah, the HVTs are members of the Las Almas Cartel, while in Ashika Island and Vondel they are simply called "enemy informants".
Commanders[]
- Main article: DMZ#Bosses
Commanders are unique Agents who are heavily armed and armored. Unlike the other Agents, Commanders use weapons such as the Minigun, M13B, KV Broadside, Crossbow, Victus XMR, and the RGL-80.
Hunt Squad[]
With the release of Season Four, a new type of agent was introduced to the game [1].
A player has to kill 9 Operators or more for these Agents to appear. They will spawn 4 minutes after the last required kill and the player will be notified by a Hunt Squad notice. If the player managed to escape the area, the Agents would disappear and later respawn until they were all eliminated.
These Agents used Operator skins such as Stiletto's "Scarlet Veil" or König's "Sinister". They can deploy Smoke Grenades to outmaneuver the players, and they can revive themselves as well as other Agents if one of them goes down.
Scavenger's Bodyguards[]
When the Scavenger appears in a match, he will be accompanied by by Al-Qatala Special Bodyguards, Shadow Company Special Forces, and Konni Special Forces in Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, and Vondel respectively.
These bodyguards' weapons choices are different from what normal agents use. Like their client, they can also use weapons scavenged from dead operators.
While the bodyguards in Ashika Island and Vondel are Shadow Company's and Konni's Special Forces, respectively, the Al-Qatala Special Bodyguards use the KorTac's "The Unseen" skin.
Call of Duty: Mobile[]
Agents come in two factions: Kurohana Corporation and Atlas Corporation. However, neither faction is directly hostile to the other (as seen in Building 21.)
Infantry[]
Infantry are the lowest tier of Agents that can be encountered in DMZ: Recon. In Hard Mode maps, they have Epic (Level 3 / Purple) Armor at minimum that protects their chest.
Atlas Corporation has several variations of Infantry, including basic Special Forces units, a Sniper unit, a Rocketeer, and Special Forces units with Legendary (Level 4 / Gold) Armor wearing full exoskeletons. Most Atlas Corporation units are recognizable due to their black, red, and white color scheme, and their use of exoskeletons.
Kurohana is similar, but lacks a Sniper unit. Their basic units are instead simply known as Infantry, while their more heavily armored units are known as Special Forces. They are identifiable by their yellow and black color scheme.
Elite[]
Elite are the next tier of Agents that can be encountered.
Atlas Corporation uses Shield Operators and Juggernauts, who generally pepper the player with persistent damage and can take a large amount of damage.
Kurohana uses the Kurohana Ninja, who can go invisible and dash up to the player to slash at them (though they cannot execute the player like Kui Ji), and the Kurohana Flamenaut, who sprays down the player with flames that rapidly deal damage.
Bosses[]
Several enemies fit the role of "boss" in the game, but not all are identified by a title. However, two specific units (listed below) will trigger a "Loot Distribution Phase", where if multiple players assisted in killing the unit, they will all have a random chance to acquire some of the drops of the unit.
Atlas Corporation has the Atlas Corp. Wheelson, which fires grenades at players, dealing high damage. The Wheelson is also intelligent enough to fire at a corner a player may be standing nearby, necessitating constant movement. One always spawns on the roof of Serpent Hotel and on the top floor of Building 21.
Kurohana has Kui Ji, a mercenary who can run down players and execute them with his sword. He can block bullets and disorient players with afterimages.
Some Elite units can also appear as "Regional Bosses" on Serpent Island in buildings surrounded with a gold outline. These units are stronger than their normal counterparts and must be "stunned" by being hit before they become vulnerable to damage.
Trivia[]
- Finishing Moves can be performed on the Agents and Commanders. The ability to perform Finishing Moves on Commanders were removed at an unknown update.
- Likewise, the Agents can also perform finishing moves, but only to themselves.
- Finishing moves cannot be performed on the Hunt Squad agents
- Sticking a Thermite to Agents wielding a Riot Shield will make them drop the shield, however the player cannot see nor pick it up.
- Infantry agents have Fast Hands.
- Special Forces agents sometimes reinforce by parachuting out of a C-17 Globemaster III.
- If an Agent runs out of ammo, they will pull out their pistol to attack the player near them. Killing them, however, will not drop their pistol but the ammunition of their primary weapon and the weapon itself before switching to the pistol.
- Weapons dropped by Agents have predetermined attachments, with some weapons having sometimes all the attachment slots occupied, such weapons are: M4, FTac Recon, Kastov 762, SO-14, TAQ-V, Lachmann 762. Furthermore, the M4 used by Infantry and Special Forces Agents always has two attachments: the Broadhead-3DP Suppressor and the SZ 1MW PEQ Laser, regardless of which faction.
- Unlike Al-Qatala Agents, Shadow Company Agents have no subtitles when speaking. Moreover, most of the Konni Agents' voice lines have no subtitles, despite both Shadow Company and Konni having voice lines.
