Roycewicz joined the Infinity Ward team back in May, 2006 when Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was in development. He eventually became the level designer and designed multiple maps for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Multiple Easter eggs can be found on maps he designed; which included his name and the year the map was designed. Roycewicz's daughter, at the age of six, eventually died of cancer during the development of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and the last thing she held was a teddy bear. That's when Infinity Ward and Roycewicz made an agreement to start placing teddy bears to multiple maps and levels; to honor her. During the development of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in June, 2010, Roycewicz got an offer to become the game designer at Respawn Entertainment. He eventually took up the offer, making him lose his job at Infinity Ward.
