Ari Jo[1] (Korean: 조아리), also known as Dokkaebi, is an Operator of the KorTac faction featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. Dokkaebi was released with Season One as part of the Battle Pass.
Dokkaebi is also featured as an enemy Warlord in Zombies on Operation Deadbolt. She was added on January 17th, 2024 as part of the Season One Reloaded update.
Biography[]
Born in South Korea to a family of gifted engineers. Ari Jo spent her days tinkering with advanced gadgets her parents would bring home from their lab. Ari took an interest in computers and would go on to earn degrees in both computer science and engineering from the prestigious Seoul University, which eventually set her up for a position in R&D for the South Korean Military.
As Ari's service in the military went on, she was eventually recruited for her expertise into a cover special forces unit within the South Korean Military. It was here she trained in robotics and developed a keen hacking skill for hacking even the most impenetrable firewalls. Her skills proved worthy enough for one of the most dangerous assignments in special forces at the time: infiltrating North Korea.
Ari used her hacking skills and advanced drones to survey and bring classified back to the South. But when her cover was blown, she was forced to flee and take on a new identity. Tired of hiding from North Korean agents, she hacked into the South Korean Military's private contacts and found the global KorTac Faction.
Ari was convinced that this was an opportunity to emerge from the shadows and get back into the fight for sovereignty across the globe, she offered KorTac her service in exchange for a new life.
Dark Aether Saga[]
In 2021, Ari was employed by Terminus Outcomes to help establish a foothold in Zaravan, Urzikstan during an undead outbreak. She operated in the downtown area of Zaravan City. At some point, Ari shot down a reconnaissance drone piloted by Lucas "Luke" Dobbs of Operation Deadbolt, and hijacked into their comms, mocking the former for using inadequate technology.
Some time later, Deadbolt deployed its strike team to assault Ari's fortress in Zaravan, and she was ultimately defeated.
Working for Konni Group[]
By late 2023, Ari was working for Konni Group. She accompanied the recently-escaped Andrei Nolan to Zaravan once more, where they started a new operation.
