The Armor Plates (also known as Armor Shards) are a utility featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Mobile, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, in the campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III as well as in the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
The Armor Plates are also featured as a Scorestreak in Black Ops Cold War and a Field Upgrade in Vanguard.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4[]
Armor Plates appear in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 in the Blackout mode.
Call of Duty: Warzone, Warzone 2.0 & Warzone Mobile[]
In Warzone, Warzone 2.0 and Warzone Mobile, Armor Plates function as a utility allowing the player to have an extra 150 health. allowing for better protection against enemies.
In Warzone and Warzone Mobile, players can find Armor through loot crates and ground loot, or go to a Buy Station to purchase five Armor for $1,500 or an Armor Box for $4,000. The player can also pick up an Armor Satchel, allowing the player to carry a max of eight plates.
In Warzone 2.0, Armor can also be found via ground loot and crates but at Buy Stations, the player can only purchase one plate for $1,000.
The player will be automatically spawned with two plates. If the player is killed and enters the Gulag, they will have 0 plates equipped. Once they survive, they will once again be spawned with two. If the player has Tempered equipped, they can only have two plates equipped, however, these two function as if the player were to have three plates. In modes such as Titanium Trials: Endurance, the player has much more armor health.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War[]

The Armor returns in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
Multiplayer[]
Armor functions as a defensive scorestreak that protects from 60% of incoming damage. It has 150 health, and breaks once that health is depleted. It takes up the second streak slot and when used, will play a short animation of the character inserting it into their vest.
The armor is lost upon death and does not reduce explosive damage. Upon use, it will show a small blue bar over the health bar to show its durability.
If damaged by a weapon that would exceed its health pool, the armor plate will negate any damage to itself beyond 150 and impart 40% damage onto the player as normal.
Zombies[]
Armor Plates appear in Zombies. It may be dropped by normal zombies or from loot chests in Outbreak. Players can pick it up to partially repair their Armor Vest, should they have one and it's damaged. The repairing process is instant and doesn't require any more action than walking close enough to pick it up.

Call of Duty: Mobile[]
The Armor Plates appear in Call of Duty: Mobile, being initially added in Season 9: Conquest as a repair item for Armor Vests, restoring part of its durability.
The armor system received a rework in Season 8: 2nd Anniversary and it now comes with three different types of Armor Plates:
- Armor Repair Plates replenish the armor health by 50 up to a maximum of 150, similar to the Armor Plates in Warzone.
- Advanced Armor Repair fully repairs the armor to 150 units. but takes longer to use. (6 seconds)
- Kinetic Armor Overchargers replenish armor to 150, while also adding an additional 50 health, for a maximum of 200 units. However, it takes most difficult to apply, with a use time of 8 seconds and disabling sprinting while it is being used.
All Battle Royale classes under the "Support" category have the unique passive of being able to use healing items more quickly than other classes.
In Zombies, one can buy armor plates off the vending machine and the player can upgrade the Armor for it to hold more armor plates at one time, up to 3 plates at a time. Each armor plate costs 250 points, except for the first armor plate, which it costs 500.
In Undead Siege, Armor Plates can be found off the ground and the player can hold a maximum of 10 in reserve. A Kinetic Armor Overcharger can be bought off the vending machine for 2000 Aether Essence. They function similarly to their Battle Royale counterparts.
Call of Duty: Vanguard[]

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II[]
Armor Plates return in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II featured in the campaign levels El Sin Nombre and Ghost Team. It also makes an appearance in Special Ops where players can purchase Plates in between waves.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III[]
Armor Plates return in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
Campaign[]
Armor Plates appear in the campaign, where they are found in open-combat missions and function similarly to their previous iterations.
Zombies[]
Armor Plates appears in the Zombies mode, again functioning similarly to its use in Warzone and Warzone 2.0. The player instead puts on plates in their left hand, allowing the player to hip fire their weapon during the process. Similar to DMZ, the player only starts with a One Plate Armor Vest, but Two and Three Plate upgrades can be found in the environment or by completing Contracts. Equipping Speed Cola allows the player to equip plates faster.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6[]
Armor Plates return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Campaign[]
Armor Plates appear in the campaign, and function similarly to their previous iterations.
Multiplayer[]
Armor Plates are usable within the Kill Order game mode. When the player is the HVT, they will have 3 Plates equipped, with an additional 3 that can be replenished.
Zombies[]
Armor Plates function in Zombies like in Modern Warfare III and Black Ops Cold War. Unlike Modern Warfare III, only three Armor Plates can be kept in reserve rather than five. Armor Plates can drop from Armored Zombies and Heavy Zombies, as well as Special and Elite enemies. They can also be crafted at the Crafting Table for 50 Salvage per plate.
