For another type of Zombies, see Heavy Zombie.

Armored Zombies, also called Light Armored Zombies, are an enemy featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in the Zombies mode and in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 featured during the Horde Hunt event only on the map Fortune's Keep.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War[]

Introduced in the map Firebase Z, they are very similar to Heavy Zombies but sport less armor, making them easier to kill than the former but tougher than normal zombies due to their helmet and vest. Armored Zombies, like Heavy Zombies, are aligned with the Soviet Union, indicated by the red star on their helmets. Given their attire, they were likely Omega Group soldiers stationed at the outpost when it fell, becoming zombies. Armored Zombies begin spawning in as early as round 10 on Firebase Z and all subsequent maps. They will also occasionally appear during assault rounds as well as in Outbreak after warping to the second region.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III[]

The Armored Zombie returns on the map, Operation Deadbolt. They primarily appear in the Medium and High Threat Zones, but can also occasionally be found in the Low Threat Zone, notably during Exfils.

Armored Zombies were added to multiplayer and Warzone on February 7th, where they were available during the Horde Hunt event. When an Armored Zombie was killed, they would drop their skull allowing the player to pick it up.

Appearance[]

Armored Zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War don Soviet gear, and are covered Head to toe in Barbed wire. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, they keep the barbed wire but now wear Urzikstan Armed Forces Uniforms with more "Modern" Vests and helmets, which raises more questions than answers.
