The Ascender Gun is a piece of equipment used in Call of Duty: Ghosts, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

It is used in the level Atlas Falls, where it is used to quickly ascend into the Atlas Oil rig platform. The Ascender Gun shoots a grappling hook, and the player attaches themselves to it, before being pulled up into the oil rig.
