Ashley Joanna Williams, better known as Ash Williams or simply Ash, is a protagonist of The Evil Dead series. Ash is featured as an Operator of the SpecGru faction in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. He was released during Season Six of Modern Warfare II on October 23rd, 2023 as part of the "Ash Operator Bundle".

Trivia

• Ash's appearance is adapted from Evil Dead II, though he carries an unusable chainsaw on his back, rather than having it attached in place of his right hand.
• When getting kills, Ash's character model gets progressively bloodier if the player maintains a kill streak. The blood is most notable on his face as well as his hands.
• The Kastov 762 "Groovy" blueprint in Ash's bundle is a reference to his iconic catchphrase, which also originated from Evil Dead II. The Lockwood 300 "Boomstick" blueprint from the same bundle is a reference to Ash's iconic shotgun, as well as his line "This... is my BOOMSTICK!" from the sequel Army of Darkness.
  • Despite being a reference, the "Boomstick" blueprint maintains the over-under barrel design of the Lockwood 300, rather than the double barrel design used by the actual Boomstick.
  • Both the "Groovy" and "Boomstick" blueprints have "SWALLOW THIS" written on the side. This is a reference to the same line in Evil Dead II, said by Ash to the Deadite Henrietta Knowby before he kills her.
  • Similar to Ash, both the "Groovy" and "Boomstick" blueprints also get progressively bloodier when getting kill streaks.
