"Sets fire type to full auto for increased rate of fire at the cost of accuracy."
— In-game description.

Automatic Fire is an attachment in Call of Duty: Ghosts. It changes the weapon's default three-round-burst mode into fully automatic fire mode. This makes it more competitive at close-range, but sacrifices long-range effectiveness.

The attachment is available for two weapons. The first is the MSBS. On the MSBS, the automatic fire rate is decreased by 4.8% compared to the original fire rate per burst, dropping from 833 to 793 rounds per minute. As well, Automatic Fire on this weapon causes every multiplier (barring the head) to drop to 0.9x, making the MSBS almost always need 3 shots instead of two.

The Automatic Fire attachment is also an integral attachment on the Gold PDW. The fire rate is increased from 789 RPM per burst (446 RPM overall) to 857 RPM, and the damage multiplier to the head is decreased from 1.5x to 1.2x. The magazine size of the Gold PDW is increased to 20 rounds to compensate for the higher rate of fire. However, it is only unlocked after obtaining a Multiplayer rank of Prestige 10.
