"Potts? Is that you, staggering about over there? I say, have you been at my Bordeaux? You and I shall have words about that later. Damned impertinence. No wonder I've only a crate and a half left."
Archibald Fotherington-Smythe

Bernard Potts is a character featured in the Dark Aether Saga of Zombies mode. Potts is mentioned in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies map The Tomb.

Biography[]

Potts served as Sir Archibald Fotherington-Smythe's valet, accompanying him through several expeditions. In 1908, Potts was part of Sir Archibald's expedition in a excavation site located in the Principality of Avalon, at the behest of Alistair Rhodes, who intended to retrieve a Sentinel Artifact.

Potts initially served little purpose to Archibald besides having to serve him some of Alistair's wine and to listen to his insights on the expedition. For the next couple of weeks, Potts helped Archibald assembling the Staff of Ice.

On the 23rd day of the expedition, Potts disappeared which Archibald mistook as abandonment of the excavation, to much of his dismay. Five days later, Sir Archibald encountered Potts and discovered he became a zombie with several others. Sir Archibald and the rest of his men fell back to the Dark Aether and fought against the zombie horde. During the fight, Potts was stabbed in the eye with a dagger, leading to his permanent death. Potts' skeleton remained in the Dark Aether Nexus and was found nearly nine decades later by the Requiem crew, who was also in search of the Sentinel Artifact.
