"Black Tuesday"[1] is a level in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.[2] This level starts on Day 2 - 10:18:08. The player takes control of Derek "Frost" Westbrook, a Delta Force operator in New York. So far, information indicates that the mission will involve a heavy firefight at the New York Stock Exchange, followed by a helicopter duel down Wall Street.
Gameplay
The level begins with the player, Sgt. Derek "Frost" Westbrook and Sandman climbing from the wreckage of an overturned Humvee in Manhattan. They emerge to find themselves and a friendly Stryker battalion under attack from Russian infantry and vehicles. The player fights his way up the street, past heavy resistance and meets up with a convoy of Strykers at the corner of Exchange and Broadway.
Frost, Sandman and the convoy are then ambushed by a Mi-24 at an enemy roadbloack, forcing the team of Deltas to circumnavigate the road block and enter another building.
As the team reaches the New York Stock Exchange, they fight their way through the trade floor and take a service ladder to the roof. Using thermite, Frost destroys the radio jammer on the roof, restoring radio communications to friendly forces. They then come under attack from enemy forces positioned on some nearby rooftops.
Frost uses guided missiles from a Reaper Drone to neutralize the enemy troops, as well as an enemy gunship. A Black Hawk then arrives, extracting the team, but they are pursued by several Hinds. The player mans a minigun and destroys several gunships, but one of them collides with the Black Hawk, causing it to spin out and Frost is nearly thrown out of the cabin. The pilot eventually regains control of the helicopter and the team procedes to their next mission in New York Harbor.

- The name of the mission is a reference to the Wall Street Crash of 1929 also known as "The Black Tuesday".
- The date of this level is May 13, 2016, as reported by the TV, where a news program similar to CNN displays the title "BATTLE FOR NEW YORK - America's last stand?"
- The date of the mission; May 13, 2016 will actually be a Friday, which can be a reference to Friday the 13th, an unlucky day.
- At the beginning the brief text does show the title of mission, day, time, faction and place, but it doesn't show the player's character name as other missions do, probably due to the fact the game isn't complete.
- The beginning, shows Date 2, means that Black Tuesday isn't the first level on Modern Warfare 3
