The sectors of Caldera
(Launch)
Caldera is an island located in the pacific ocean featuring various resorts, airfields, agricultural, Axis Power militarized buildings and a giant dormant volcano that dominates the entire Caldera region.
Caldera at launch was divided into fifteen major points of interests,[1] with the Dig Site[2] and Storage Town[3] being added later throughout the map's lifecycle.[4]
Arsenal[]
Located to the furthest north western side of Caldera sits the Naval Arsenal, featuring clusters of buildings, various interior and exterior structures, cranes and giant shipyard.
Docks[]
The Docks, located at the furthest north region of the map, is the Ocean Freight Company's "Industrial Docks", composing of a huge dock complex and shipment yard, with connections to various residencies and other zones throughout the wider Caldera region.
Runway[]
Located towards the furthest northeast sector rests a smaller runway, dedicated to pilots stationed towards the Beachhead or Arsenal. Nearby rests a military command center.
Ruins[]
Sitting just north of the Village is the Ruins, a locale featuring an archaeological dig site based around the 12th century. These untouched structures resemble the volcanic mountain rocks nearby.
Mines[]
The Phosphate Mines rests just below the giant volcanic mountain, with mine gondolas covering various points over this sector.
Peak[]
The dormant volcanic mountain is the center of the island of Caldera, atop it sits an Axis Powers military construction site.
Following the Season Three update, the construction around Peak was completed.
With the Season Five update, the volcano became active and the surrounding area was covered in lava.
Beachhead[]
Located to the farthest east in the center of the map rests the Beachhead sector, featuring a communications center, radar away and a massive military compound.
Village[]
This small river village, located near the Ruins and the Lagoon, features bamboo huts, serving as some of the last untouched history this island shares before its modernization in the 1930s.
Lagoon[]
The Lagoon overlooks the nearby bay, as well as the crashed Allied Power's C-47 plane along the beach. The clear water lagoon is located to the furthest western side of Caldera.
Airfield[]
Caldera Terminal, this island's main primary airfield, is located to the east of both the Lagoon and Village. In this region, one may find the massive control tower overlooking the entire tarmac, as well as the smaller hangars and terminal.
Fields[]
The largest and broadest sector in all of Caldera is the Fields, featuring a fertile agricultural center and fields, as well as various industrial depots, water towers and many more structures to explore and discover.
Sub Pen[]
Found east to the Fields, is the Axis Power built Submarine Pen, known to many as Shark's Lair, which houses various naval boats. Various bunkers and underground tunnel systems can be found nearby.
Power Plant[]
The Caldera Power Plant is a medium sized power plant featuring two smokestacks that dominate the nearby suburbs and radio station. It is located south to the Airfield.
Capital[]
Located to the furthest south of the region sits Caldera Capital City, featuring many landmarks such as the Royal Theater, Capital Building, and smaller locales like the fire and police stations. A beautiful downtown with restaurants and tenement housing can be found along Main Street.
Resort[]
This Royal Cabana Resort is found just east to the Capital, featuring the massive resort hotel, beach shoreline, pools, restaurants and clock tower.
Dig Site[]
The Dig Site was added following the Season Three update, located between the Mines and Ruins, showcases various decomposed corpses of Kaiju.
Storage Town[]
Storage Town serves as Caldera's seventeenth point of interest and was added following the Season Four update. Storage Town is located between the Mines and Dig Site.
