The Truth Lies[]

"The Truth Lies" was the pre-launch marketing campaign, combining real-world advertisement and an ARG website of the same name.

On June 3rd, 2024, new challenges were released in Call of Duty: Warzone related to Black Ops 6. Simultaneously, a new cutscene featuring Frank Woods using a wheelchair appeared during the matches' infil intro.[5]

"New orders, kids. We got intel there might be key information here to finally reveal that mole we've been huntin'. Now get out there and get to work."
Frank Woods

In Urzikstan, several interactable items were added:

  • In Orlov Military Base, a "Wanted" Poster Russell Adler that read "Enemy of the State. Wanted for crimes against the United States Government, the capture and death of US personnel and material support to foreign regimes and organizations hostile to the United States" followed by information about Adler.
  • In Shanin Manor, a picture of the CIA Memorial Wall that read "They died by a traitor's hand!".
  • In Bunker 5, a file that read "Daily Briefing Director Daniel Livingstone. Orders From Livingstone. Bring in the Traitor Adler"
  • At the entrance of Bunker 7, a graffiti that read "I will die with her in my hand."

On June 5th, the three challenges became available to complete in Urzikstan:

  • "In Warzone, get 1 Operator Kills with an Old Friend" - Players had to use the "Sally" blueprint for the 9mm Daemon and kill another player with it. This would reward the actual blueprint in their Armory.
    • The "Sally" blueprint was first available on Rebirth Island on May 15th, and became available on Urzikstan in May 29th. This led to some progression issues.
  • "Discovered intel to uncovering the mole" - Players had to enter the submarine located north of Bioweapons in Rebirth Island and interact with the evidence board. Once done, they would receive "The Truth Lies" Calling Card.
    • The submarine was added on June 6th.
    • The evidence board featured a photograph of the Kuwaiti oil fires dated "1/23/1991" that read "Alawi's getting out of Iraq. Langley can't have him.". Additionally, there were 4 sticky notes that read "Iraq", "Kuwait", "Washington D.C.", and "Avalon".
  • "She Never Let Me Down" - Players needed to reach Bunker 7 and entered 72559 on the keypad. Once inside, they had to interact with the computer to receive the "Purge Sequence" Calling Card
    • The code 72559 (SALLY) was sent the same day to content creators and influencers that received a pager in the weeks prior. The graffiti at the entrance also hinted at the code.
    • A message was displayed after the players interacted with the computer, which read: "Input: the Pantheon. SAD. Deputy Director Livingstone. mole. infiltration. Russell Adler. Iraq. Ministry of Defense. Sayeed Alawi. Error!!!! Erasing All Data!!!!!!"
  • "Gained The Exclusion Execution" - The players needed to complete the three challenges above to receive the "You Can't Kill Me" Finishing Move
