The story of Call of Duty: Mobile mixes universes, characters and elements from the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series, besides with Ghosts and Advanced Warfare universes, along with new characters and a plot exclusive to the game itself. The story started with the Season 6 Once Upon a Time in Rust on May 1st, 2020.

Season 6 Once Upon a Time in Rust[]

In some Desert in the Texas state, Ghost attacked a hideout used by a group of mercenaries and killed them off swiftly. He then goes into the basement along with his team.

Season 7 Radioactive Agent[]

The team discovers that Makarov was using the lab to try and recreate Nova Gas, and was also using it as a missile silo that had missiles containing the replicated Nova Gas. The team is then ambushed by Makarov, who releases the gas and a team of mercenaries in Hazmat Suits. Ghost barely makes it out while his whole team is killed. Makarov then remotely launches the missiles, and Ghost can do nothing to stop them.

Season 8 The Forge[]

Ghost arrives in one of the cities Makarov targeted with Tank Dempsey, noting that it looked like the end of the world. As they search for clues, Tank notes that there was no tactical reason to target the city, but Ghost pulls him into cover as they are ambushed. Ghost kills the ambusher, a clown, and Tank picks up his weapon, noting that it was probably supplied from somewhere. The duo then finds an abandoned Gulag that was used as a hideout for Krueger and Mace. As Tank engages Krueger, Ghost engages Mace. Ghost throws a grenade, disarming Mace, which lead them fighting in the Showers hand to hand. As they were fighting, Tank arrives after failing to take down Krueger and fires at Mace, causing him to retreat. The two then descend down a staircase and encounter Reznov, who is in his early hundreds.

Season 9 Conquest[]

After taking a moment, Reznov tells Ghost and Tank what he did during his time in the Soviet Armed Forces. He tells them that he was on a covert mission to a secret facility belonging to the Germans. He and his team rush forward an assault on the base. Despite the overwhelming gunfire, Reznov manages to survive the slaughter and enters the facility, encountering the gas Nova 6. After executing all of the scientists in the facility, he retrieved the gas for the Russians, and they hid them in bunkers. Reznov then reveals that he is one of the few people who knows where the bunkers are.

Season 10 The Hunt[]

After Ghost extracts the information from Reznov, he calls Mara to locate Makarov and stop him. Mara and her team (consisting of Golem, Otter and an unnamed Frogman) storm into Makarov's jungle base and ends up in a standoff with Mace, holding Makarov at her gunpoint. Mace then betrays Makarov and kills him, escaping into an underground bunker and launching an EMP missile located in the bunker as Mara arrives with Soap's team too late.

Season 11 Anniversary[]

Disappointed with the recent mission failure, Ghost contemplates of how they gathered next to no intel about their enemies. Mace in disguise attacks a building with his team of mercenaries then goes to Alcatraz to meet with an underground criminal magnate named Hidora Kai. Mace and Hidora start to plan out their next moves, disabling all electronic devices in the world, including military radio towers, communication centers, Mara and Soap's convoy and even the plane Ghost and Tank were flying in, using the EMP launched earlier. Ghost and Tank manage to survive and meet the other operators at The Club.

Ghost admits that the group has no way to fight Hidora and Mace, along with no way to locate them. Russell Adler appears and says that they do have ways to combat the new threat. After Ghost asks who he is, Price introduces Adler, and officially states the group is now a part of the United Anti-Terrorism Coalition, ending the introduction with "Ladies and gentlemen, we're going dark."

Season 12 Going Dark[]

Adler and the rest of the team start to plan out their assault on Five Knights locations. When asked on how they would coordinate or even reach those locations, Adler presents the team with Swiss mechanical watches, which are unaffected by EMPs. Price also notes that Adler is not the only Cold War relic in operational state in the bunker, indicating an old helicopter. During all of this, a character named Templar is preparing himself, and he appears to have a personal grudge against the operators of the Coalition. Meanwhile, the Coalition begins striking 3 key sites of the Five Knights simultaneously; Price and Soap lead an assault team on the Communication Centre, Mara and her team storm in at the Command Center in Alcatraz, while Ghost and Tank strike a production facility in Hackney Yard. When Price and Soap attempt to exfil, Templar appears and grabs Soap by the neck, noting he is "glad" to see Captain Price again. At the same time, Mara goes one on one against Hidora Kai, while her team finds that the Command Center is already rigged to blow. Meanwhile Tank comes across Mace, who knocks Tank down and snatches his weapon, and opens fire at him. Ghost comes too late to save him. At the same time, Templar wounds Soap with his knife and briefly enters a standoff with Captain Price before escaping in a chopper. Mara, on the other hand manages to snatch the laptop from Hidora, who barely escapes as the explosives go off and the place starts falling apart. Meanwhile, an enraged Ghost starts beating up Mace, ultimately subduing and arresting him. Later, Price, Ghost and Adler discuss the aftermath of their joint operation; Mace is in a Black Site facing interrogation, Templar and Hidora are in the wind, Soap is injured but will be battle ready within a few weeks. It is further revealed that Mara made it out alive, but was wounded badly and is in a coma. Ghost admits that they won the battle and takes an oath that he will "Win the War."

Season 13 Wint3r War[]

Ghost and Adler discuss about the ongoing war. As Ghost expresses grief for not being able to save Tank and the fact that they don't have enough time and intel, Adler comforts him by saying that they do have intel and mentions that there is a place in Siberia from where Makarov possibly got the Nova Gas from. He then says that it's coming all around the same way like it did during his days, and narrates his story. Some time during the Cold War, Adler led a small team into a Soviet facility in Siberia along with his friend Stansfield. They had found out crucial information about something that the Five Knights could also have gotten their hands on, and eventually carried out. However, when tried to exfil, they were surrounded by a large group of enemies, and Stansfield stayed behind to cover their escape, only to be shot dead, which Adler could do nothing but watch in horror. Back in present day, Adler finishes his story by saying that both Stansfield and Tank knew what they were doing, and so should Ghost. When Ghost questions if the research facility is of any more importance, Adler says that there might be something left in there, although it will be a long shot. Ghost agrees and says that he will take it, to which Adler responds that they will have to wait, and Ghost must not rush for revenge. Ghost in response says that this is not about revenge, and they must get the intel before the Five Knights do. Adler replies that they cannot risk to lose any more men as the Five Knights already hit other bases hard, and tells Ghost that he must be patient. Ghost takes it for an excuse to do nothing and walks away, much to Adler's dismay.

Overridden with guilt, Ghost comes to visit the still comatose Mara and expresses grief for not being able to save them. He then promises that he will end this for all and places Tank's dog tag on her palms and leaves. When Price cannot find Ghost, he comes to Soap asking for his whereabouts. Adler comes to them saying that he knows where Ghost is, and he is "doing something stupid". When Price asks what Adler has done, he replies that he told Ghost about the operation in Siberia.

Ghost arrives via Snowmobile at the Soviet base Adler told him about and begins to investigate. He realises that someone has been here recently as he finds recently opened canned food and a map which is dated around the present. He is then startled by a voice saying: "The enemy of my enemy....is my friend". The man turns out to me none other than Makarov.

Ghost is shocked to see Makarov still alive, since Mara had confirmed he had been shot in the head. Makarov explains that Mace also saw him die but "appearances are deceiving" and that he needed to fake his death since their goals had diverged. Makarov also states that he knows that Ghost has arrived to seek information on how to defeat The Five Knights and that he has said information. When questioned about their identity and goals, Makarov says that the Knights consist of 5 individuals with different goals who were useful to each other as he was useful to them, and proceeds to list them off. Rorke heads the mercenaries, Hidora, who is looking for corporate profits, Mace, only wanting the downfall of the government, Raul Menendez, who wants control of the system by hijacking it, and a fifth member whose identity Makarov says will keep secret, unless Ghost takes him in. Ghost agrees, and as they exit the facility, Templar appears, blowing up Ghost's snowmobile. Ghost tells Makarov to run and fires at Templar. Unfortunately, the bullets cannot penetrate his armor and he mocks Ghost that he should have "brought bigger bullets", disabling and then breaking Ghost's gun. When Ghost asks who he is, Templar introduces himself, then stabs Ghost in the wrist with one of his throwing knives. When Ghost tries to retaliate, Templar performs a coup de grâce on him and knocks him down. He then inspects Ghost's body commenting that he expected a more equal individual. He then takes his mask and leaves, stating "That's one less loose end."

2021 Season 1: New Order[]

The story then skips to a cemetary where Tank is being cremated. 3 men are shown to be overlooking his grave, who are revealed to be Edward Richtofen, Nikolai Belinski, and Takeo Masaki.

As the world falls into a state of catastrophe thanks to the actions of the Five Knights, Atlas Corporation steps in for rescue and relief work. However, the terrorist organization Cordis Die hacks the global infrastructure, crashing cars, disabling intelligence centers, and causing havoc throughout the digital world.

Meanwhile, Price and Soap arrive at the Soviet base, remarking on Ghost's rashness, and start searching the area. They soon find a folded paper on the bloodied ground, and as Price opens it, he finds Ghost's dog tag.

It is then revealed that Makarov took Ghost's body, as he is seen dragging it towards a cliff. There, he rendezvous with a team of Ghosts led by Captain Merrick, and hands them over Ghost's body, who take it back to their ship docked nearby.

2021 Season 2: Day of Recknoning[]

Sometime in the future, Mara awakens from her coma. It takes her a year to get fit for combat again, after which she jumps back into action with Alex. Upon receiving orders from Shepherd about Raul Menendez's location. They storm into a building, only to find Charly's squad members killed, and Charly badly wounded. Charly, as her wounds are being inspected by Alex and Mara, explains that Templar had eliminated her teammates and let Menendez escape. Charly, having been only wounded with the knife, figured that Templar wanted her to die slow. As Charly is carried away by Alex and Mara, she laments that she has blown their chance at stopping Cordis Die. Alex says that she didn't, as they still have "one last shot". Their last shot is revealed to be Mace, who is still being imprisoned. Alex & Mara note that Mace hasn't said anything since Ghost had captured him. After they arrive in his cell, he asks if they're there to finish the job, to which Mara replies that she'd be using a knife (or a cheese grater) if she were there to kill him, while Alex says they're "here to talk".

Mace retorts that he isn't talking, so Alex reads out his unredacted personnel file; Mace fought for the country, but in the end was kicked out, his sacrifices being denied, others taking credit for his work and was offered nothing in return. He derides Alex for thinking he understands him, which he responds by saying he understands enough to make a deal, to grant Mace his freedom, much to Mara's shock. Mace doesn't believe him, but Alex says that they're in desperate times and that the UAC needs Mace to help them capture Menendez. In return, Shepherd will authorize Mace's release if he agrees. Alex states that it's the best offer he's going to get, by dropping a Ranger badge in front of Mace. After some hesitation, Mace agrees to the deal. Shepherd then briefs the pair on recent developments, that Menendez is slated to be operating in the Raid. Since Price and his company are occupied elsewhere, and that Cordis Die may have hacked their computers, this is their last chance at capturing him.

The trio infiltrates the Raid. Mara still has her misgivings on trusting Mace, but Alex says that it's their last chance and that they have no choice but to trust him. Halfway into the mission, Mara contemplates shooting Mace, as they had gotten what they needed out of him, but Alex talks her out of it, saying that that's exactly what Mace would do if he were in her position. They then launch their attack, taking down several guards in their way. Mara is ambushed by a guard in hiding, but Mace saves her by pushing her out of the way before mowing down the guard. Mace asks if she's good, which she replies in the affirmative, and then they continue their mission.

Meanwhile, Menendez, who is on site but is hiding in another building, realizes that Mace had betrayed them. As a result, he makes haste to exfil in his helicopter while noting that Templar is off-site. However, before he can take off, Alex shoots and kills the pilot, causing the chopper to fall back to the ground and allowing Menendez to be apprehended by the trio.

Elsewhere, Templar is answering to his employer, who can only be seen as a shadowy figure. The unknown individual chides Templar for not being able to find Makarov. Although he vows that nobody else will know that his employer is the 5th Knight and that he will find Makarov for him, his employer says that Makarov is no longer a priority, and instead gives him another mission, which he accepts.

2021 Season 3: Tokyo Escape[]

Soap, out in the desert, finds a drug cartel massacred, by a DEA/CIA agent named Rosa. As Soap notes her deadly efficiency, she replies, "I was bored." Soap then offers Rosa a job with the UAC, noting she could "shoot more assholes like them". At the same time, Menendez is interrogated by Shepherd and Price. Menendez is less than willing to talk, so Price tells him that he'd listen to Shepherd as he has the temper at times. Menendez then asks if he is playing the good cop, bad cop routine, to which Price replies that Shepherd is the "bad cop" while he is the "worse cop". Menendez then comments that the government believes that he died during the mission in the Raid. Shepherd continues to press him to talk, and he finally relents; Hidora Kai has returned to Tokyo to rebuild the Five Knights, while Templar has been dispatched to Texas desert hideout to find what Ghost had missed out on.

Shepherd and Price then brief their UAC team about recent developments: Mara went rogue to uncover what might've happened to Ghost, Price is planning to have Rosa and Charly accompany his team to Texas, while Alex and Soap are tasked to apprehend Hidora Kai. Both Alex and Soap have their misgivings, but Alex also remarks he has always wanted to see Tokyo.

Alex and Soap arrive in Tokyo, and then immediately storm into a building where it apparently houses the Yakuza. Hidora, realizing that there're pursuers on his tail, tells his henchmen to get rid of them while noting that his work must continue and making an attempt to escape. Alex intercepts him, and Hidora draws his sword.

After a skirmish, Hidora is apparently knocked unconscious and taken away by Alex and Soap, but his henchmen relentlessly pursue and fire at them. They manage to exfil from the area when a vehicle, driven by someone possibly hired by the pair. As they are pursued by Hidora's forces, they run into an individual resembling Spectre. Alex tells the driver to run him over, but it fails as the individual leaps onto the roof and fatally impales the driver with his sword. The car crashes and sends everyone flying, although Hidora, Alex, Soap and the individual manage to survive. Hidora recovers and attempts to make a run for it, but not before ordering his men to kill them. Soap and Alex fight them off and manage to snag a pair of motorcycles, preventing Hidora from escaping again. Alex then tells Soap to get to the exfil site.

As the pair fend off more henchmen, they rush to the exfil site; apparently there's a boat waiting for them at the docks. Soap doubts whether they can make it, so Alex asks, sarcastically, if he has any better options. The pair barely manage to make it onto the boat by driving off a wooden ramp, and Hidora's henchmen are forced to stop short of pursuing them. Soap and Alex then have Hidora apprehended and their boat leaves Tokyo.

2021 Season 4: Spurned & Burned[]

Meanwhile, in Texas, Price, accompanied by Rosa, Charly and a group of soldiers together with Mace still in his bonds, arrives at the facility that Templar was sent to. Price asks Mace if he has any insights to the place, to which Mace says that he has been out of the loop. Charly also voices her displeasure of having to go on this mission with him. Mace states that he hates Templar as much the group does, and that he'd be more than happy to kill anyone he's told to, but Price is more interested in his knowledge of the facility, and sends him in first.

As the team ventures further inside, the group's soldiers are killed by Templar, revealing it to be an ambush set up by him. Price orders the rest of his crew to take him out, but things are made worse when Cecilia "Dame" Perrin, a female companion of Templar's, joins in the battle as well. She disarms Charly and Rosa of their weapons while Mace gets his hand stabbed by Templar. Rosa attempts to take both Dame and Templar herself with her knife, but is ultimately defeated like the rest of the group.

During this time, Hidora, on the boat, is being interrogated by Shepherd. Hidora refuses to divulge anything, though Shepherd notes that Raul Menendez did, to which he rebukes that he is not Raul and that he won't be sitting long. However, Alex and Soap both dismiss the idea, as they had made sure no one had followed them, and that no one was told of where they were. Shepherd then asks who the 5th Knight is, a question which Hidora refuses to answer. In response, Shepherd punches him, saying that the 5th Knight can't stay hidden forever and that he'll have to reveal himself eventually. Hidora instead tells them that they should be more concerned about their friends in Texas.

Price and his crew have been defeated and are tied with hands behind pillars. Templar notes that Dame might have hit Rosa too hard as she appears to be unconscious, and Dame remarks that she thought the Americans would have harder heads. Price states that they're not all American, though Templar shrugs it off as a distinction without a difference. Dame then inspects Rosa, doubting that she's unconscious, when Rosa suddenly spits in Dame's face. Annoyed, Templar punches Rosa in response, but she simply mocks him for having struck a nerve, to which Price agrees saying that the mighty Templar has a weakness. Templar then holds a knife to Price's eyes, telling him to watch his mouth.

Just then. Gabriel Rorke appears, greeting Price and Mace. Rorke questions Mace for working with the enemy, to which Mace quotes the same line Makarov did to Ghost, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". Rorke tells Mace that he simply likes being on the winning side and that he picked the wrong one, and that "Everything's in position."

Elsewhere, Adler travels to the Ghosts' ship and meets up with Captain Merrick, suspecting that Price and his team may most likely have been lured into a trap due to their radio silence. Adler asks if Merrick is going to tell General Shepherd about the situation, and he says that it depends on whether he is ready to hear it, to which Merrick replies positively. At the same time, they also visit the Ghosts' German Shepherd Riley.

Meanwhile, Vagr Modir is shown to be leading a fleet of battleships in pursuit of Hidora. Spying upon the ship he's being held in, she remarks that they haven't seen them yet, and tells her team to prepare themselves.

Just as Shepherd derides Hidora for thinking things would end up in his favor, the ship's alarm goes off, having detected the fleet of battleships in pursuit of them. Hidora mocks back at Shepherd, saying that maybe he wasn't the one mistaken of the outcome, as Alex and Soap along with the rest of the crew gear up for defense.

As the attack begins, Alex admits that they are outnumbered and outgunned. Soap orders Modir to call her men off, but she refuses. Her wolf attacks Soap, giving her the opportunity to catch him off-guard and push him off the ship. She knocks over Alex and busts inside, only to find Shepherd holding Hidora at gunpoint.

Back in Texas, Rorke tells his mercs to divide and conquer, that they wanted to separate the UAC forces. He says that he already knows of Shepherd's position, and believes that the operators will tell him of the only UAC member whose location isn't known yet: Adler. Price says he's tired of the Five Knights, Rorke replies that he doesn't blame him, as he claims not to know much about "Knight stuff", but he doesn't care as long as the cash is flowing. Price deduces that Rorke is a puppet, but it doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest, making it clear by reiterating his previous statement that as long as the cash flows, he doesn't mind being one.

Just as he finishes talking, Mace suddenly breaks the pipe he is chained to, and knocks Rorke over while telling him that he doesn't need a gun to kill him. At the same time, Rosa also breaks free of her chains, and attempts to reach for the gun that has dropped on the floor. However, before she can even take it, Rorke uses the same pipe to knock down both her and Mace.

Rorke, having had enough, draws his gun to Price and demands to know where Adler is, only for Adler to reveal himself. As Rorke looks over, Adler tells him that he has brought backup--although it appears that Adler has only brought a squad of soldiers, he remarks that he's also brought an old friend--which shocks Templar, as the "old friend" is revealed to be a still alive Ghost, along with the German Shepherd Riley. The other operators are also shocked to see him, as Ghost remarks, "You can't kill a Ghost".

2021 Season 5: In Deep Water[]

Ghost intends to settle his unfinished score with Templar--who responds by throwing his knife at him, but Ghost manages to swivel it around and throw it back, hitting Rorke in his arm and disarming him of his weapon. Ghost then tells his fellow Ghosts to secure Rorke and the facility while he deals with Templar. Rorke decides to exfiltrate, ordering Dame to accompany him to an underground bunker while Templar stays behind to deal with them. Unbeknownst to Rorke and Dame however, Adler is waiting in the bunker for them.

Back at sea, Soap is rescued and brought back on board by Alex. However, they are too late to prevent Modir and Hidora from escaping, and Shepherd is found tied up inside the cabin. At the same time, the Ghosts ship is revealed to have also arrived there, firing on the ships that have the UAC ship surrounded. As Hidora and Modir make their escape, they note that things aren't looking good for them as some of their ships have been downed by the Ghosts.

As Ghost and Templar engage in a vicious duel, Ghost mentions something about a "Dark Covenant", and that he knows Templar's real name is "Edouard", which annoys him. At the same time, Rosa releases Price and Charly from their binds while Mace makes it clear that he intends to get Templar. Price tells him to have at it while he and the rest attempt to prevent Rorke from escaping.

Templar is then double-teamed by both Ghost and Mace, although he manages to fend them both off, throwing knives into Mace's forearms. However, Ghost manages to throw Templar to the ground and attempts to use the same finishing "coup de grace" on him, but it fails and Templar kicks him away. Ghost recovers and manages to stab Templar in his leg, but he then retaliates by swiping Ghost across the face with his wristblade.

Meanwhile, Rorke is shot in the ear while making his way to the helicopter by Adler. Rorke orders to Dame to kill Adler, which she expresses pleasure in doing so. Adler taunts Dame before she moves in to attack.

Mace tells Ghost that he's on his own as he hasn't yet fully recovered his arms, so Templar continues to furiously fight Ghost, and attempts to stab him in the head, but Ghost blocks his knife with his palm and manages to grab Templar's arm and break it. He then puts the French mercenary in a submission hold and prepares to kill him. However, before he can do so, Dame arrives in the nick of time to rescue Templar and kicks Ghost away. She then carries Templar away while Ghost struggles to recover.

Rorke is revealed to have escaped in his helo, but Price notes that his helo isn't a long range one, and that he's likely headed for somewhere close; most probably a ship, and radios for the operators to tell Shepherd to get ready. Back in the facility, Adler comes to Ghost's aid with Riley, and the latter laments that Dame kicked him in the gut--the same place that Templar wounded him a year ago, and that he's gotten away. Adler notes that the life they lead leaves scars, though the fight is not over yet. Ghost tells Adler to find Price and the others. As they are leaving, the group then spots what appears to be Mara's body, leaving all shocked and horrified. Ghost is most adversely affected by it as he cries in denial and attempts to reach her, but Price restrains him and tries to console him, saying it's part of their job.

Rorke and Modir discuss the recent battle as they arrive on Modir's ship, but quickly realize the UAC and Ghosts are tailing them. They deploy mines to deter them, but as Ghost remarks that the Five Knights got away again, Adler says that he reached out to his contacts in South America, as part of old school methods. He notes that there's only 1 place Rorke could be headed to.

2021 Season 6: The Heat[]

Rorke and his team arrive in Panama, where they're greeted by a mysterious man, a local arms dealer named Boss (Named Rott in-game). Hidora has his misgivings on this, but Rorke silences him. Meanwhile, Dame is concerned about the extent of Templar's injuries, as he nearly falls over when he attempts to walk without his consort's help. Templar insists that he's fine, but Dame notes that he should be in a hospital bed. The pair discuss about the Five Knights, with Dame noting that Rorke and Hidora only care about themselves and that they're not fit to lead; instead, she suggests that Templar should be their leader.

Back on the Ghosts ship, Rosa and Price are discussing about an upcoming assignment. Price apparently wants Rosa to go to Panama undercover, but she has her misgivings as she has no immediate backup while being in a foreign country. Price notes that Rosa is a skilled fighter, she used to work alone, she can speak foreign languages and she's also new which means she won't be easily noticed by Rorke. Rosa still has doubts, but Price then notes that Rorke has met up with Boss, whom he claims is "very bad news". Rosa finally agrees to take on the assignment, but not before demanding that she is "given lots of hazard pay".

Rosa meets with Rott, and he confronts someone (possibly one of his buyers) about lying to him and then setting him on fire with his lighter after his men douse him with gasoline, also commenting that he likes playing with fire. He asks Rosa if she is fine with it, and she remarks she suddenly has a craving for bacon, to which Rott replies he is vegetarian, but didn't want to waste good murder. Rosa then attempts to make a deal with Rott for some FHJs, although she attempts to bargain, Rott shuts it down, warning her of what happens to people who waste his time. Rosa agrees to the deal, and later makes haste to find the intel.

Rosa soon infiltrates the compound and finds a briefcase. But before she can exfil, she is ambushed by Dame who nearly impales her with a sword. However, Rosa manages to gun her down and kicks her aside. Unfortunately, she is stopped from finishing her off when Rott and his men arrive to investigate. With her cover blown, Rosa immediately makes a run for it by leaping onto the roofs on the buildings outside. Rott orders his men to stop her from reaching the docks.

As she leaps onto another roof, Rosa is blindsided by Rott, but manages to hang onto a ledge, while Rott falls off into the building when he tries to avoid her gunfire. Rosa continues to leap, and catches her eyes on the men on the bikes pursuing her. Before long, she manages to snag one of the bikes and take off, although not before Rott recovers and sees this and takes another bike to pursue her. As the chase ensues, both of them exchange fire. Rosa rides to the edge of a cliff, where a helicopter with Ghost is waiting. Ghost manages to grab her mid-air and Rott is forced to abandon his pursuit. Ghost is impressed by Rosa's skills, to which she replies that girls' got to have fun.

2021 Season 7: Elite of the Elite[]

Elsewhere, Hakan "Demir" Pala is dealing with a hostage situation. He easily dispatches all of the gunmen present--save the one who has his gun pointed at the hostages. Despite him threatening to execute them, Demir continues to state that he does not care and proceeds to kill him anyway even when said gunman surrenders ; he throws him out of the building and then releases all of the hostages. Meanwhile, Charly and Price, who are also present at the scene, survey the area, with Charly questioning Price how he seems to know everyone--enemy or ally. Price responds that by living as long as he has, they will get to know people. Demir then greets Price, addressing him as "Lieutenant" instead of "Captain", which Price later corrects him for. Demir notes that MacMillan seems to have retired, and asks what he's needed to do. Price tells him he needs a scout--someone familiar with a certain terrain. Demir asks about the terrain, stating he may be interested, to which Price responds that he's going to be very interested.

On the other side, Templar and Dame are preparing and loading themselves up again. Templar has recovered from his wounds and has now reverted to wearing the old Dark armor, while Dame is wearing her Usurper uniform. Cecilia remarks that she always liked his Dark armor better and that Edouard was the best of them even at his worst, he was the Templar, a crusader of sorts. She goes on to state that he should be a leader as this is what he was born for and why he was chosen by the Dark Covenant. Edouard states that although they had chosen, they didn't act like he was given a choice, and Cecilia tells him he has a choice now, and that he should kill Rorke and assume leadership of the Five Knights. Edouard says that while he's many things, a traitor is not one of them. Cecilia tells him that he shouldn't think of it as betrayal, but "service" to the soldiers who has to follow Rorke's bad decisions. Edouard is apparently shocked by something--Cecilia had summoned the rest of "The Dark Covenant"; comprising of Dark Shepherd, Anna "Artery" Buckler, Kryptis, Witch Doctor and surprisingly, Stansfield.

Rorke discusses with Rott their most recent mission failure. He scolds Rott for being incompetent, while he rebukes by saying Rorke shouldn't have led the UAC to him. Rorke seems to care little about this however, as he states that even if they arrive, he won't be on Panama any longer as he has what he needs. Templar interrupts his conversation, asking him what did he need. Rorke responds by saying he needed people who obey orders and not ask questions that they didn't need answers to. Templar then pulls out his throwing knives, ready to do battle.

Rorke, having seemingly anticipated this, orders his mercs to kill Templar. Rott makes haste to exfil, claiming it's not his fight. Meanwhile, the rest of the Dark Covenant also begin their attack simultaneously, taking out all of Rorke's mercs near effortlessly. Rorke attempts to fight back, but eventually retreats as he is outnumbered. But before he can escape on his ship, Stansfield blows it up, leaving him trapped with the Covenant members.

In a last ditch attempt to fight back, Rorke brawls with Templar, but he throws his knife into Rorke's torso. Still unwilling to relent, Rorke pulls the knife out of his chest and claims that the world will belong to the Five Knights and the Federation, and that they won't win. Dame simply shrugs off his arrogance and responds that they are the Dark Covenant, and that they've already won. Rorke derides for following the "zealots", but Dame states that they're the true leaders of this world and that it's time for them to step out of the shadows. Rorke then says that them "cultists" are not destined for that and tauntingly asks if she's going to kill him. Dame responds by slitting his throat, killing Rorke.

2021 Season 8: 2nd Anniversary[]

Meanwhile, Shepherd is conducting a briefing for all of the UAC operators on recent developments. According to intel, the Five Knights are amassing in a place called Blackout, and that they're bringing everybody for the mission. The Navy has the island barricaded, the Army has provided artillery, the Air Force is providing support, but they're all just supplementary for the real effort that's coming from the US Marines, 30000 of them storming the island. The Five Knights are thought to have also assembled an equivalent number of mercs consisting of rebels and warfighters from around the world. Midway into the briefing however, Shepherd is interrupted by Soap and Price bringing in Gary "Roach" Sanderson. Soap apologizes for being late as he needed to show the "new guy" the way. Price's conversation with Soap about Roach mirrors that of Price's first meeting with Soap (a reference to Price meeting Soap for the first time in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare).

Later on, Price's team infiltrate Blackout, with the intention of locating Hidora Kai to take him out. As the team proceeds to take out several mercenaries, with Price noting Roach is undeniably aggressive. Along the way, Ghost notes that they've lost contact with Squad Delta, eventually running towards an entrance where he finds corpses of spec ops soldiers. Ghost suspects that Templar might be involved, as he tends to leave behind a swath of dead bodies in his wake.

Meanwhile, Templar and Dame are discussing some matters. It's revealed that Templar joined the Dark Covenant for the sake of daughter Sophia, and that he wants to "get out of this mess" as soon as possible. Dame asserts that Sophia has been safer than she has ever been and that Templar needs to stop complaining. She then goes on further to state that Edouard's daughter has been provided for and protected more than she has been with him, and that she belongs to the Dark Covenant--as does theirs, so she urges him to stay quiet. Edouard however, insists it no longer matters and that he's taking Sophia away. Cecilia chuckles, stating that she's done and tells Edouard "good luck finding her", which prompts him to demand an explanation. Cecilia says that Sophia belongs to the Dark Covenant, bound by blood and that she will grow to be operator like them. Edouard doesn't believe her, but she then mocks for him for thinking Sophia would be merely handed over to him--she will always be an asset to the Dark Covenant, and that Stansfield and the 5th Knight filled Edouard's head with lies and false promises. She then finally states that the Covenant will never let her go,

In response, Edouard chuckles and unexpectedly slits Cecilia by the throat with his wristblades. He states that she has "cut his strings" and that he's nobody's puppet anymore while Cecilia bleeds out haplessly. Edouard then goads the remaining Covenant into fighting him, prompting a fierce battle to ensue. Kryptis attempts to shoot him, but is mortally wounded by Templar's throwing knives. Dark Shepherd and Witch Doctor lunge at him, with Dark Shepherd telling Edouard that the Covenant is for life, and that there's no way out of it. Templar destroys Witch Doctor's Purifier, remarking that if there's no way out, he will simply have to kill them all. However, Dark Shepherd tells him that he's not walking away from them before his scythe gets sliced in half by Templar's wristblades.

Artery joins in the battle, expressing her anger at Edouard betraying them when they are at the cusp of having everything. Edouard replies that he is making a choice, to which she taunts him by saying she will make sure Sophia doesn’t even remember Edouard’s name, but he insists he will get her back anyway. Dark Shepherd then questions him how he’ll do it, since he has no allies, no intel & no resources. However, Edouard makes it clear he will do it by any means necessary.

Meanwhile, Price, Rosa, Soap, Alex, Demir & Roach takes out several henchmen along the way, with them taking notice of Roach’s deadly efficiency. As they blow open a wall, the group barely manages to avoid gunfire.

During this time, Templar is shown to have defeated the Covenant members, as Witch Doctor is shown carrying away Dark Shepherd & Artery. Edouard then goes to meet Ghost, but doesn’t attack him. Instead, he remarks that in another life, they’d have made great partners, but not in this one.

Edouard hands Ghost a key card, stating “he’s behind the bookshelf”, revealing the 5th Knight is in the premises. When Ghost asks why he ‘s doing it, Edouard says that it’s no longer his war, before walking away. Ghost then asks what he’s going to do, to which Edouard replies that he’s going to burn the Dark Covenant to the ground.

Meanwhile, the other group stumbles upon a waiting Hidora. After he taunts them, they move in to attack. Demir gets shot when he attempts to shoot Hidora, prompting Rosa to lunge at him. As she taunts Hidora, she kicks away his gun, but he swiftly responds by slashing her across the cheek with his sword, commenting she’s not like any other woman he's dealt with.

Hidora then runs off, stating “we’re all dead anyway”. As Price pursues him, he looks over the wounded Rosa. He asks if she’s hurt, she then replies that she’ll live, probably. Infuriated, Price then chases Hidora further, before Hidora slices his gun in half, but Price is able to swiftly disarm him of his sword and then uses it to fatally stab Hidora through his torso. As Hidora lays dying, he mocks Price for thinking he has won, saying everything is “going dark” as he had said. Price, having had enough of Hidora’s taunting, proceeds to kill him with his own sword, before he sets eyes on a countdown timer with less than a minute to go. Meanwhile, Shepherd is informed of the weakening of the Five Knight's forces, most ground troops are retreating and naval along with aerial Five Knight forces have been disabled.

Ghost, having found the location Templar was describing, uses the card to find a surveillance room behind a bookshelf where there are multiple camera feeds, along with someone watching it all in a chair. They comment they were able to control the outcome of the war, though they were not able to control Ghost, as "You were always a wildcard, son."

The 5th Knight is revealed to be none other than Adler himself. Ghost is in utter disbelief, to which Adler tells him that it may be a hard pill to swallow, but it was always for the greater good. Ghost is angered as he realizes that Adler had apparently betrayed them and their country. But Adler insists that all of what he did was for the sake of his country.

He then goes on to state that it was a “false flag”; a scenario where a country makes an attack on itself disguised as the enemy to start a war. Adler then claims that the Soviets are still a present and active threat, and that his goal was to defeat Makarov and other Russian threats. When Ghost retorts that his actions caused numerous deaths and the crippling of civilization, Adler replies that it was for the country to get back on its feet stronger than before. He then reveals that he had hired Mace to kill Makarov, which he was able to, though Makarov had managed to use a body double to deceive them all. He also notes that he sent Ghost to Siberia with the same goal in mind, and Templar would kill Makarov if Ghost somehow failed. Instead, Ghost and Templar fought each other, Ghost being left gravely wounded as Templar was unable to find Makarov.

Finally, Adler notes the 30000 men on Blackout, and he comments each one of them are heroes. He then throws a cigarette as he mentions that Ghost himself is a hero, as he begins to pull something out of his jacket, he says that if Adler asked Ghost for one more sacrifice, Ghost would make it. As Adler turns, Ghost shoots him, and he falls off the cliff, revealing that he had pulled a lighter out of his jacket. As Adler tumbles off the cliff, Ghost is contacted by Price, who informs Ghost of nuclear bombs being launched by the Five Knights. As Ghost demands clarification, Blackout erupts into a mushroom cloud as the missile hits. As Ghost stares in shock and horror, Adler mutters "I've won, Perseus."

2021 Season 9: Nightmare[]

Shepherd debriefs Ghost, exclaiming that 30000 men died on the island, while the world just watched, and that Ghost could have done more to prevent the disaster.

Shepherd then states that because of what Ghost did, someone has to “pay the bills”. Ghost asks what he means, about whether Shepherd thinks he had something to do with the nuclear attack. Shepherd then tells Ghost to tie up loose ends, or he will. Price informs Ghost that they are not questioning his loyalty or his judgement, but they are in the dark as they don’t know whether the Five Knights are really all dead and they also don’t know anything about the Dark Covenant.

Ghost interjects saying that Adler mentioned Hudson, as part of the last thing he said. Shepherd however is still angry and leaves before Ghost can continue, dismissing what he said as “bullshit”. Price however, pleads with Shepherd to let Ghost finish, stating that they are listening. Ghost says that Adler stated that Hudson was funding their operations, directing money from intelligence slush funds. He then asks if it means anything to them, Price replies that it doesn’t mean anything to him, but he knows someone that might be interested in it.

Notified by an old friend, Price then sends Ghost to a remote house. Ghost raids the house, but finds the place dark, rummaged & seemingly empty, before finding Hudson lying dead on a table, with an open bottle of pills beside his head. While searching for evidence, Ghost then finds a piece of paper with the word “Stansfield” written on it.

Reporting back to base, Ghost then tells Price & Shepherd about Stansfield: Adler’s operator partner in the past who was apparently killed by Russian soldiers during a mission to Siberia. He wonders why would Hudson write the name of an operator who’s been dead for 30 years, to which Price replies that maybe their friend can shed some light on it. At the moment, Reznov walks in, commenting about how he’s apparently useful again.

Reznov states that after he liberated the Nova 6 from the Nazis, he became a hero and was "rewarded" by his superiors; being sent to a gulag, where he was occasionally sent on suicide missions which he always survived and then returned to Vorkuta--and this was the place where he met Stansfield. He explains that Stansfield was barely alive when he was brought in to Vorkuta, but represented opportunity to the Soviets. A former Nazi scientist by the name of Friedrich Steiner, who was "liberated" by Reznov's comrades, apparently had intentions about mind control experiments. He says that his own mind wasn't attractive for Steiner, but Stansfield's was, and so Steiner attempted to brainwash him to see whether they could turn their enemy into a friend.

However, the procedure went horribly wrong; instead of producing a friend, it turned Stansfield into "a madman obsessed with carnage", killing Steiner in the process. Eventually, the Vorkuta prisoners grew dissatisfied with their treatment & began to rebel. Reznov explains that Stansfield did not view killing as a means to an end, but as a point; he reveled in it & craved it. Afterwards, both Stansfield and Reznov escaped & went in separate directions. Reznov wished to keep as much distance from him as possible, and it was the last time he ever saw him.

But it wasn’t the last time he heard of him. For decades, Reznov had been hearing rumors about Stansfield; that he was recruiting the most sadistic & cruel soldiers—leading to the Dark Covenant being created. Price deduces that Reznov doesn’t know where he is, to which he responds that he doesn’t want to, as he feels Stansfield should never have survived in Siberia or Vorkuta. Ghost then informs them that while they don’t have a lead on Stansfield, they do have a lead on the Dark Covenant.

Ghost's lead is referring to Edouard, stating that he must go alone as it's between him and Edouard. As he's no longer affiliated with the Five Knights or the Dark Covenant, Edouard is essentially a knight without a lord to serve. Ghost then finds Edouard re-forging his helmet in an abandoned castle. Edouard states that Ghost's footsteps aren't as light as he thinks as he finds him, to which Ghost replies that it wasn't hard to find him, noting he left quite a trail of bodies. Edouard states that, since the Dark Covenant have gone to ground, he went on a hunt for information in the criminal underground. He also mentions that he cannot be blamed if said criminals were not willing to talk without any sort of persuasion. He then brings up a past subject, the fact that Ghost and himself still have a score to settle. Ghost agrees, and Templar whips around to throw a knife at Ghost.

After a short fight, Templar tells Ghost that he joined the French army at 17, ambitious, aggressive, and young, which drove his teammates to see him as a sadistic and insane soldier. During his time, he worked extensively with Dame, who was his commanding officer at the time and fought several times under her command, but she was soon discharged. After Dame was recruited into the Dark Covenant, Templar joined alongside her in hopes of a peaceful life for his daughter, one that he never had. He then definitely promises to find her, but Ghost intervenes, grasping his hand, saying that they will both find her, and Templar finally says that they would hunt down the Dark Covenant.

2021 Season 10: Shadows Return[]

Ghost and Templar begin to ambush the Dark Covenant members, their first target being Witch Doctor. As Witch Doctor notices that Ghost and Templar have found him, Templar crashes through the window, having not used his parachute like Ghost did, drop-kicking a nearby guard in the process, and greets Witch Doctor. As Templar approaches the Doctor, Ghost calls him a "Fucking maniac". Templar manages to overpower Witch Doctor, and, with one of his knives in his hand, asks if the Doctor likes surgery. Witch Doctor's fate is left ambiguous.

The next member they ambush is Kryptis, who dodges an incoming Ghost who misses with his pistol, and drives towards Templar. Kryptis calls Templar a traitor as he attempts to gun him down with a KAP-40, and Templar retaliates with a wave of knives. He manages to spin out Kryptis' motorcycle and apprehends him. Kryptis insists he won't betray his comrades, but Templar assures him that he will.

His next target is Dark Shepherd, who's on a hovercraft out in the sea. Despite his guard telling him that no one is following them, Dark Shepherd doubts it & when he discovers the duo making their way up, he throws the guard off in anger.

Ghost attempts to apprehend Dark Shepherd but the latter holds him at gunpoint. When he then asks where Templar is, he responds by putting his knife to Dark Shepherd's throat. Not wanting to die, Dark Shepherd states that he'll talk, to which Templar answers in the affirmative.

The last target they track down is Artery, who's apparently interrogating a man in a hotel room. Ghost busts into the room interrupting her, stating he & Edouard like to have a word with her. Artery however attempts to escape by jumping out the window, but is caught by Edouard by the foot & left dangling off the window ledge. She attempts to convince Edouard to rejoin them, telling him that Ghost is just using him & will backstab once he's done. But Edouard is not convinced & instead tells her that he's going to take his chances; he gives her a choice to either talk or take her chances as well, to which Artery then begrudgingly relents, telling him Stansfield's location in Alaska, giving an address ending with 584S. Edouard then thanks her before he lets go of her foot, dropping her to her supposed demise. Ghost then asks if it was really necessary to drop her, to which Edouard replies that she'll live, but even if she didn't he'd have done a favor for the world.

Later on, the duo are preparing for their mission to Alaska, on board a plane. Edouard reminds Ghost that it's a one way mission & that they may not make it. But if they do, they'll require an exit plan; Edouard has already contacted an old friend to help with that. Ghost sarcastically replies that Edouard has friends, but he then tells him that the old friend is Nikto, if they succeed in their mission, he will be their extraction. Ghost then informs Edouard that he has brought backup as well; the backup comprising of Soap, Alex and Sliver.

The pilot then asks if they're ready for take off, to which Edouard replies that they have one more person coming; the one more being Vagr Modir, accompanied by her pet wolf. Edouard tells her she's right on time, to which she replies that she wouldn't miss the fun as he killed her employer Rorke. Soap & Alex feel uneasy about having Modir with them, which she takes notice of and asks them if they have any hard feelings, to which Soap replies that they won't have any so long as her wolf does not attack them again.

The plane is later seen midair. Sliver is seen sitting down with an arrow in her hand, Vagr Modir is sleeping with her wolf, and Alex and Soap are playing card games. Édouard calls Simon's name and gives him back the mask he took from him in Siberia. Upon receiving the mask, Simon claims that he totally forgot about the mask and that one act of kindness isn't enough to erase all of Édouard's sins. Édouard agrees, and tells Simon to promise him that if anything happens to Édouard, Simon will take care of his daughter, Sophia, with Simon responding "Okay."

2021 Season 11: Final Snow[]

As the plane touches down in Alaska, Ghost and Templar make a final agreement on their deal, retrieving both Sophia and a DSM. As the bay doors open and Ghost and Templar get out, Firebreak, along with Dark Covenant soldiers, arrive to ambush the group. Firebreak consequently uses his Purifier to torch the area surrounding the plane, separating the group. As Ghost and Templar flee the scene to continue their mission, the remaining passengers begin to hold off the Dark Covenant. After a bit of fighting, Alex gets his leg severed from Firebreak's D13 Sector, and Vagr drags him to safety.

Ghost and Templar infiltrate the Alaskan facility, and they split up, with Ghost making his way to Stansfield, and Templar seeking a data terminal for the DSM and his daughter. Ghost finds Stansfield, and they exchange words, Stansfield comparing Ghost as his "new" self, claiming Ghost enjoys the thrill of battle. Templar, after transferring some data into his DSM, finds his daughter tied up in a room. As he retrieves her, he calms her by saying that they will be able to get back to a normal life back home in Paris, and as he begins to slaughter the Dark Covenant guards, he asks Sophia to close her eyes. As Templar makes his way through the facility, he regrets having pulled Sophia into such a dangerous life, and he notes "I am death, and that is all I will ever be," but he believes that Sophia could succeed in having a normal life of her own.

As Templar prepares to exfil with Nikto in his chopper, he spots Vagr Modir pinned to the ground by a Dark Covenant soldier, and as he rushes to help, Nikto asks what he's doing. Templar remarks that "For once, the right thing." as he pulls the soldier off of Vagr, he pulls her up as Ghost and reinforcements arrive, with Templar confirming that Stansfield was killed. As Templar and Vagr approach, Ghost asks if they obtained the DSM, and Templar affirms that he did. Consequently, Ghost pulls a pistol on Vagr, instantly killing her, and as Templar panics, he himself is shot in the helmet by Ghost, commenting that it is the end. As Sophia gets out of the chopper as she sees Templar, Nikto is ambushed by the rest of the reinforcements, his chopper torn apart by machine gun fire. As Ghost takes the DSM, giving it to General Shepherd and walking away, Sophia barely manages to escape the gunfire, running to Edouard. Although Templar initially says he cannot get up, Sophia reminds Templar that he promised to get them to Paris, which he does agree with, and the two begin to make the trek across the ice. Eventually Templar slips and falls. As Sophia attempts to gets Templar back up, he tells Sophia to be better than him, and that he will love her always, passing away in her arms, and the next panel simply reads "The End."

2022 Season 1: Heist[]

Makarov, having escaped from Siberia, discusses how to obtain valuable data on his enemies with a crew of his. He then notes said data is being auctioned at the Hacienda, one of the most secure underground locations. Since he does not have the resources to properly bid for it, he plans to steal it.

Makarov arrives at the Hacienda, the guard asks him why he is there as he scans Makarov for weapons, and Makarov responds "Just here to browse." As Makarov makes his way through the gathering, he checks in with his team, who is in the process of weakening Hacienda security.

Makarov proceeds to call out Elderman as an imposter, and Elderman is gunned down, with Makarov noting that he was not necessary. One of Makarov's partners then asks if he plans to betray the entire team, to which Makarov replies no.

Makarov then proceeds to bust into a room where a guard faces off with him, asking if Makarov thought he could just bust into the room. However, the guard is quickly taken care of by one of Makarov's teammates, and he says this heist is more fun that his time in the KGB, though he takes this back upon realizing the vault he attempted to crack open is empty. Dame is revealed to still be alive, and has the vault's contents, a USB stick, in her hands. Both Dame and Makarov comment on the rumors of their respective deaths.

Dame asks if Makarov has an escape plan, and he admits to having one, as a construction vehicle busts through the room, the driver noting that Dame is surrounded. Dame reveals she has rigged a half-ton of explosives around Hacienda, ready to detonate, and it is also rigged to a dead-man's switch should she be killed. For a tense moment, the criminals face each other, but Dame then hands Makarov the data, to his surprise. Dame explains that she would already have begun working with Makarov if she had known he was alive, and she offers to work with him to eliminate their common enemies.

2022 Season 2: Task Force 141[]

Nikto (having survived the ambush on him in Alaska), along with several others, hold several civilians hostage, and as Nikto rants about how the powers of the world have let their citizens down, along with noting that his group stands for the "common people," Foxtrot notes that Ghost (along with the rest of Task Force 141) is arriving. Price briefs them on Nikto, and Ghost recognizes him, saying that he worked with Nikto on further dismantling the Five Knights after killing Templar, which Price points out, and Ghost defends it as the right thing.

The task force begins to infiltrate the building, with Ghost and Price rappelling inside through a skylight, while Alex, Charly, and Gaz break through the garage. After eliminating most of the enemies, the teams quickly realize Nikto is nowhere to be found, with Ghost noting that it must have some connection to him. Alex and his team realize there is enough explosive placed under the building to level it, and consequently warn Ghost and Price, who then notice an elevator coming down to them, preparing for an ambush. Cipher emerges from the elevator, quickly proving more than a match for both Ghost and Price. Ghost tells Price to exfil and get the hostages out, and while Price objects, he ultimately leaves. Ghost recognizes Cipher, and as Price manages to get of the building, meeting up with the rest of the squad, the building explodes. However, Ghost manages to escape the building unharmed with Cipher in tow.

2022 Season 3: Radical Raid[]

Nikto meets with a Gunzo running a weapons business, demanding weaponry from him. However, the meeting goes awry and Nikto deploys a gas, ultimately killing Gunzo. Concurrently, the task force are waiting at a hospital for Cipher to be treated, with Foxtrot infiltrating the staff. However, Cipher reawakens, grabbing the doctor treating him and taking him hostage, as black-suited members from the UAC arrive to take Cipher, much to Ghost's chagrin. When Cipher emerges, the UAC manage to incapacitate him once again, and Foxtrot applies an additional sedative, saying that they can fix this. While Ghost still has his doubts about the new UAC members, he agrees to follow them.

2022 Season 4: Wild Dogs[]

Captain Price & his team arrive in a Moroccan desert with Cipher in tow, where they are greeted by an entourage comprising of Roach & Farah. Price laments that Charly & Alex couldn’t be with them on the mission but nonetheless is glad to see Roach again. Roach then briefs the operators about recent developments; that Cipher is one of the cybernetically enhanced warfighters conducting worldwide strikes at someone’s behest. Farah also lets in about the local situation, insinuating that it can be traced back to the French colonial rule, but is interrupted by Roach before she can finish.

While they are escorted in the convoy, Phantom takes aim at them with a SMRS, but Foxtrot intervenes, causing him to miss his shot & hit the rocks nearby instead of the convoy. Rocks tumble down the convoy’s path & are forced to a halt. As the agents driving the vehicle report of being attacked by unknown forces, one agent is killed by Spectre. Meanwhile, Foxtrot & Phantom engage in battle after some banter, and the latter one gets thrown off the hill before being subdued by Ghost. Meanwhile, Spectre and Price engage in CQC, with the latter getting almost killed due to the former's supremacy. Roach intervenes, focusing fire on Spectre, causing him to run away. As Roach bandages Price, both of them wonder how Spectre got away so easiy. Price comments that at least Cipher is still not gone. Ghost and Farah return with Foxtrot, and Phantom in tow. It is shown that both Price and Foxtrot know each other from before. As Price asks the latter how did she end up here, Foxtrot reveals that Cipher is her brother.

2022 Season 5: Tropical Vision[]

As the team exfiltrate via chopper, Price tells Foxtrot he doesn't care about her relation with Cipher, and asks her again how did she end up there. Foxtrot reveals that she and Cipher were born in a military family to a strict father, and used to train together since childhood. However, their father was also abusive at times; and one day she had enough, and left home. Some time later, Foxtrot heard that Cipher had gone missing, and started looking for him.

Foxtrot notes that Cipher was on a UAC op the time he went missing, and that during her search she found a photo of him on a human trafficker’s phone. Cipher was apparently being sold alongside several others, and Foxtrot spent a month uncovering who the buyers were. While doing so, she kept on stumbling on a mysterious name: Ortelius. Price questions why would some black market grunts want to buy Cipher, and Foxtrot replies that she found out when she went to Congo.

She was with Rampage in the Congo Basin, and together they infiltrated a military base belonging to the People's Covenant and Ortelius, eventually stumbling upon a field hospital and in the jungle and an unknown doctor. Upon interrogating the doctor, Foxtrot discovers that Ortelius is experimenting on soldiers with black box military hardware such as brain implants and cybernetics, while also disposing of "failed subjects". Having obtained the data they needed, they rig the place to blow. Just as the alarm is sounded, the pair make their escape, with Prophet and Kreuger in pursuit.

Foxtrot and Rampage head in different directions for their escape, and Foxtrot notes that was the last time she ever saw Rampage. Kreuger asks whether to kill or capture the women, and Prophet instructs him to capture them. Foxtrot ends up at a waterfall, and is tackled by Kreuger, causing both to fall into the waterfall. However, since Foxtrot knew that Kreuger wanted to capture her, and she intended to kill him, she defeats him and presumably kills him by leaving him to drown.

Price asks why didn't Foxtrot just come to him for this matter, she notes that Ortelius has contacts inside every government agency she can name but doesn't know who is or isn't compromised. She further adds that she has seen many documents relating to Ortelius, that several terrorists, paramilitaries and dictators pay for Orterlius' services, but not the People's Covenant. Price believes the People's Covenant works for Ortelius, which Foxtrot affirms that they're Ortelius, or a part of it, leaving one question, which is who does Ortelius work for.

Before their question can be answered, they are notified of 3 unidentified aircraft headed in their direction. One of the aircraft is piloted by Nikto, and he is given orders to kill the UAC team.

2022 Season 6: To The Skies[]

In the skies above Morocco, Nikto engages in a dogfight with Captain Price's team. Although Price manages to fend off one of the aircraft, he realizes they are overwhelmed, and thus is forced to eject from his aircraft, instructing Foxtrot to take Cipher and jump. Nikto shoots down Price's aircraft, but doesn't notice Price, Foxtrot and Cipher falling to the ground, and Nikto confirms his target is down.

Elsewhere in the Caucasus, Makarov, Wraith and Sophia Couteau meet with Kryptis, Nyx and a mysterious man. Wraith is surprised to see Kryptis still alive, and Sophia notes that her father would be pissed if he found out Kryptis was still alive. Though Makarov reassures them that they are taking him seriously and they have the right man, Wraith and Sophia have their misgivings.

The mysterious man is apparently Roger Vachon, a representative from Ortelius, who then discusses business matters with Makarov. Meanwhile, outside the meeting room, Kryptis taunts Sophia about wearing her father's mask on her belt, leading to an altercation between the pair. Amidst their discussion, Makarov begins to question "Vachon" about his "provisions", causing "Vachon" to become nervous.

Outside, Sophia remarks that Kryptis is unimpressive up close, Wraith tells her that she isn't either, but it doesn't make her any less dangerous. Meanwhile, Nyx receives radio chatter that Zurich has been compromised. Overhearing this, Sophia and Wraith attack Kryptis, prompting Nyx to leap into action and fend off the pair. During this time, Makarov tells "Vachon" that he has collected data inside his briefcase, including confidential identities, medical histories, known addresses and thousands of names. "Vachon" tries to deny it, leading Makarov to divulge his full details; "Vachon" is actually Cedric Montpierre, a resident of Zurich, he has a wife named Helene and two children, Roman and Celeste. Just then, the man's phone in his shirt pocket rings, Makarov tells him to answer it as that is his wife calling him.

Nyx defeats Sophia (and Wraith, with assistance from Kryptis), and then tells Kryptis to get to "Vachon". He bursts into the room, but is ordered to stand down by Montpierre, who informs them that his family has been held hostage. Makarov promises to return Montpierre's family to him unharmed, once he answers a few questions for him, starting with who does he really work for.

Elsewhere, at Atlas Corporation, Ether is informed that there is still no sign of Montpierre's family, and Zurich's police department have agreed to stay out of their operation, and they at least have containment. She is also notified that one of her security detail's members is badly wounded but doctors managed to save his life. She then orders a care package to be delivered to that person's family, as well as a termination letter to be drafted for Zurich's Sec-Ops chief. Ether realizes Makarov's involvement, and informs her mysterious client that his involvement changes everything.

2022 Season 7: New Vision City[]

Atlas Corporation introduces New Vision City, their "miracle in the desert" and the fastest growing city in the world. It went from a barren desert to a metropolis with a population of 1 million in a single decade. The headquarters of Atlas Corporation and the exclusive residence of its executives, their families and invited guests is a playground for the ultra-wealthy. It's also a place shrouded in mystery, surrounded by miles of inhospitable land patrolled by guards, located deep inside a small desert nation. A veil of secrecy and disinformation has kept it well hidden for years, earning New Vision City names such as 'The Invisible City', 'Atlas' big dirty secret' and 'the most exclusive place on Earth'.

In New Vision City's Robotics Lab, Alias is greeted by Ether, who asks for her help with something, which she agrees to. Ether asks for Alias' honest opinion about Division A, Alias comments that their "Iron Will" they've built is impressive and yet intimidating, and she used their AI to help her work on the "Reaper" program, which cut a year of their schedule which she finds almost scary. In addition, Alias also says that a good friend of hers, whom she was flat mates with. transferred to Division A; within a week, he was transferred to the on-site dormitory with another Division A coder. She notes that he hasn't spoken to her since then, and also feels that Division A is like a cult, hence why she refused to accept a position there. Ether tells Alias that she needs to have a change of heart, as she suspects Division A to have a hidden agenda, and that she is sending Alias to spy on them.

Meanwhile, in Eastern Morocco, Gaz and Alex Keller are dispatched on a rescue mission for Captain Price after he was shot down in the desert by Nikto. Alex requests for backup, but is denied, he is instead ordered to fall back to the extraction site and await the medevac team. Despite Alex protesting that Foxtrot and Cipher are M.I.A. and that he can't leave them, he is denied backup. Suddenly, Sparrowhawk appears and attacks both sides. But before she can dispatch Alex and Gaz, she is taken out by UAC reinforcements. The pair are then instructed to proceed to their target. They end up at the extraction site, and find a group of wounded guerillas. One of them, is able to cough out information that Cipher found them before they found him.

Elsewhere, Hidora Kai is seen meditating in a garden, until Ether interrupts him. Hidora tells her to go away, believing it to be a trick, but Ether affirms that it's not a trick. Hidora laments that he is dead and that the garden is "his hell"; flowers with no fragrance, tea that he can't taste, water that he can't drown in, and a garden that is of empty beauty and soulless comfort. Hidora demands Ether stop toying with him, she then tells someone to "wake him up".

Hidora awakens in a lab (which Ether confirms as Atlas HQ's medical center), having apparently been meshed with cybernetic enhancements. Ether informs him that he has been in a medically induced coma for over a year, and that the garden he was in was part of a simulation, to prevent neurological atrophy and spared him months of painful rehabilitation. Though Hidora is skeptical of Atlas' generosity, Ether informs him that he will never be their slave as they have invested quite a bit in him and wishes to keep him happy. Ether then tells Hidora to get dressed & meet her in his office.

Hidora later meets up with Ether, this time in his Shogun uniform, and remarks that his 'new kit' is well crafted, but believes it was designed for one purpose: death. Ether says that he is correct and she wants him to kill Makarov.

2022 Season 8: Train to Nowhere[]

At the UAC operations base in Tel Aviv, Israel, Alex, Gaz, Tempest and Keegan are being briefed about Cipher and Foxtrot. Cipher has apparently slipped through UAC and People's Covenant cordons in Morocco's Figuig desert and is at large, while Foxtrot (who is actually former First Lieutenant Denise McDaniels) has been charged as an accessory and is considered a terrorist sympathizer, the UAC prioritizes the apprehension or termination of Cipher. Tempest, Gaz and Alex are all in denial of Foxtrot being a terrorist, and Alex asks what evidence they have against her. The agents remind them that Foxtrot resigned her commission and in pursuit of her brother's whereabouts, she committed numerous criminal acts. In addition, upon making contact with Cipher, she went radio silent and is believed to be aiding her brother escape justice. Until new intelligence comes to light which refutes her motives behind her actions, Foxtrot and Cipher are both to be considered enemy combatants.

Gaz feels like their "top priority" of apprehending or terminating Cipher feels like a massive overreaction, and discusses it further with Alex. Meanwhile, the agents have pinpointed 20 People's Covenant sites that are within reachable distance from where Foxtrot and Cipher were last observed. Following the briefing, the pair further discuss Foxtrot and Cipher; Tempest thinks it's ridiculous that Foxtrot would defect to the People's Covenant as she knows her personally, while Keegan mentions that 2 of the sites that they've been sent to investigate have not been active for over a year, he knows this information because he helped take one of them out. Alex deduces that Cipher and Foxtrot might possess sensitive information, and by default, anyone close to them is considered to also possess that information, meaning someone is afraid of what they might know and are throwing them under the bus. He realizes they must get to them before the someone does, otherwise they're dead, and the root of all this would die with them.

Meanwhile, back in the Caucasus, Makarov is delighted to learn that Atlas Corporation has agreed to meet with him, at a location of his choosing. Wraith and Sophia dismiss that as they believe it's a trap set to kill him. Makarov is offended that they think he's that naive, but admits that they're right. He offers Sophia a word of advice: that he has made Atlas afraid, and that when one forces their enemy to act out of fear, one forces them to act before they're prepared, and those who aren't prepared make mistakes, that by agreeing to meet with Makarov, Atlas has made their first mistake.

Elsewhere, on the coast of the Caspian Sea, Hidora Kai (and a group of undercover operatives) is dispatched to kill Makarov. However, he discovers that his target is a decoy. Just then, reinforcements arrive in the form of Dame and her troops. She relays to Makarov that the trap has been sprung, who orders her to not leave anyone standing, which she obliges. Hidora's group is gunned down before they can react.

Makarov's group arrives in New Vision City, along with Montpierre in tow. They hide in shipping containers which are brought into a warehouse. Once inside, Sophia breaks through the container, and reports clear. Wraith admits to being impressed, even though she had put their chances at a hundred to one. Makarov thanks Montpierre for use of his "executive priority shipping", which allowed them to bypass scanners and security screens. Montpierre asks about his family, to which Makarov replies that he had already set them free, as he had sent word as soon as they touched down. Makarov says that Montpierre has lived up to the side of the bargain, and then shoots him dead.

Wraith in the meantime, packs a large quantity of C4 into a duffel bag, noting that they have a lot of ground to cover and not a lot of time to do it, so Makarov tells her to grab her toys and let's move. Sophia asks if Makarov actually let Montpierre's family go, unharmed, as he promised, and he confirms he did, and that he's not a monster. Just then, there is banging on the shutters. The shutters open up to reveal a squad of armed troopers along with Samael.

2022 Season 9: Zombies are Back[]

In New Vision City, Cipher is greeted by Dark Shepherd. Dark Shepherd remarks that he had to convince a lot of people to get Cipher back in there, especially after what he did to his 'recovery team' in Morocco, which Cipher identifies as Nikto's hit squad. Cipher expresses admiration for Dark Shepherd's new suit, but he isn't impressed by this, and reminds Cipher that he still considered a security risk by many and that his only hope is that Dark Shepherd isn't one of them. Cipher doesn't appreciate his tone, and informs him that he has come bearing 'gifts' as a sign of appreciation.

Dark Shepherd understands that Cipher is angry at Atlas Corporation as he feels they had betrayed him, and that if he were him, he would hurt them to show them they erred, painfully. But he then he also warns Cipher that if he betrays him, he will kill everyone Cipher cares about before killing Cipher himself, though Cipher isn't fazed by this, reassuring Dark Shepherd that he has been nothing but loyal since day one. He opens up the back of his truck to reveal a tied up Foxtrot, telling Dark Shepherd that offering up his own flesh and blood should count for something.

Elsewhere, at Warehouse 9 in the East Industrial District of New Vision City, Makarov, Sophia and Wraith narrowly escape Samael and his troops by climbing to the roof. Samael finds Montpierre's body, and reports to control that he has a problem.

Back at New Vision City's medical centre, Foxtrot is bound and escorted by Dark Shepherd and his troops, along with Cipher. Foxtrot deduces that Cipher didn't go missing from his UAC op, but was extracted, and asks him how much did Atlas Corporation pay him to turn on the UAC. Cipher corrects her, saying that he was on a deep cover op running intelligence on the UAC, leading Foxtrot to believe they faked his death, declared him K.I.A. and smuggled him out.

Cipher confirms that was a successful mission for him, and asks if Foxtrot just had to go looking for her little brother because of her guilty conscience. Foxtrot retorts that she is still trying to wrap her head around her brother, the "anarchist hacker" being a corporate spy. Cipher asks her where did Foxtrot get off, noting that she has said less than 5 words to him in the last 20 years, and those were at their father's funeral and that she shouldn't assume she knows anything about him.

Cipher suddenly grabs hold of a guard holding a gun, using the gun to gun down the rest of them in the room (missing Foxtrot) including Dark Shepherd. After incapacitating that guard, he frees Foxtrot from her binds, hoping her legs still work as they have about 60 seconds before they need to start running. Foxtrot still doesn't know what is going on, but she thanks Cipher for freeing her regardless. He tells her not to be sentimental as he's not doing it for her. Dark Shepherd recovers from his attack, reminding Cipher of his promise and grabbing his scythes, ready to do battle.

Meanwhile, Makarov, Sophia and Wraith are in another section of New Vision City, rigging C4 charges at various points. Afterwards, they make their way into another building, with Makarov holding a guard at gunpoint to force his compliance. He tells Wraith to lock down the place, which she has already done. Still holding the guard at gunpoint, Makarov forces entry into a secret room with a few other guards, before shooting the one he was holding gunpoint dead. The rest surrender afterwards.

Sophia notes that if the place is as important as Makarov says it is, Atlas Corporation isn't putting up much of a fight to defend it. He replies that New Vision City is all the protection it needs, and that they had threaded a very tiny needle to get to where they are now: the room they are in is revealed to be the secure digital archive; every technological innovation, every strategy it has devised, every dirty secret which are stored in isolated servers: they are in Atlas Corporation's brain.

Meanwhile, Dark Shepherd fights Foxtrot and Cipher. He manages to knock Cipher aside, but when Foxtrot opens fire he uses his scythe to render her weapon unusable. Cipher attacks, but Dark Shepherd manages to wound him on his forehead with his scythe. This would prove to be his undoing, as Foxtrot grabs another gun and shoots Dark Shepherd, killing him. She then asks Cipher to tell her what is going on, Cipher replies that where he was found in Lisbon, there wasn't actually supposed to be a bomb; he was expected to die in Lisbon as that was how Atlas Corporation "repaid his loyalty". He then says they will blow the lid off the whole operation.

2022 Season 10: World Class[]

Cat & Mouse Radio Drama[]

Alias is recording in her personal log about gunfire in New Vision City, and about her assumption that Atlas Corporation and the UAC are allies. Just then, she is invited to a mission briefing with Spectre. During the briefing, she is told of the UAC supposedly attempting to install Orbital Rangefinders in New Vision City, and that her mission is to disable them, with Spectre as her colleague.

Before the mission starts, Alias is plans to use her non-lethal prototype to neutralize her targets, but Spectre questions her understanding of the situation. Alias thinks that "They are in shooting war with the good guys", but Spectre retorts that there are no "good guys" but only those who stand with Atlas Corporation and those won't accept the reality.

During the mission, the duo neutralizes the first target, and even after a UAC trooper surrenders, Spectre kills him anyway, to Alias' chagrin. As she continues on alone, she finds a wounded UAC soldier. As she attempts to patch him up, the soldier attempts to tell her of Atlas Corporation apparently 'harboring terrorists', but is killed by Spectre before he can finish. Fed up with his 'tough guy ninja act', Alias declares Spectre a 'murderous psycho', but he derides her.

Spectre aims his weapon at her, to see if she will stand with Atlas or not. Alias decides that she will abandon Atlas' cause if it means siding with Spectre. Spectre decides to kill her, but before he can do so, a falling helicopter drops on them. Some time later, Alias is revealed to have escaped to Corsica. Choosing to let things die down first, and hoping Atlas Corporation believes her dead, she decides to take action against them.

The Rubicon Initiative, Part 1[]

Foxtrot records a live broadcast, with Cipher announcing that he was actually acting as a deep cover operative for Atlas Corporation, running intelligence on the UAC; Atlas Corporation, the People's Covenant and Ortelius are all under the same roof; Atlas has been funneling resources to the People's Covenant through Ortelius, funding terror so they can swoop in and clean up the mess--for a tidy profit.

Ether is alarmed by the broadcast, and orders security detail to be out on the streets to find Cipher while wondering how things came apart so quickly. She notes The Director being quiet through the whole debacle, and asks how he can remain silent while Cipher undoes everything they worked so hard to build. The Director notes that this was inevitable, and that the ambition of the board sowed the seeds of their undoing. Ether asks if he knew this would happen, he replies that the Iron Will did, and the board authorized the creation of the People's Covenant through Ortelius, funneling resources and prototype technology via trafficking networks and even commanding the termination of Cipher.

He also says that all these decisions were specifically engineered to result in the board's downfall. Ether believes they only initiated the programs, the Director adds that they did, on the advice of the Iron Will. The Director says that such men are easy to control; so long as the Iron Will fed their greed, they chose not to question any of it, asking the Iron Will again and again to make them powerful and wealthy; all the while convinced that the answers they were getting came from the questions they were asking. Ether deduces that the Iron Will is controlled by Division A, knowing it wasn't serving them, but the Director himself, and the board never realized the information given to them was poisoned.

Ether realizes the Director is plotting a coup, to eliminate the board. He states that they have outlived their usefulness and tells Ether to ask herself a question; not how she can salvage the situation, but what she will do next, knowing that when the UAC comes, they won't just coming for Foxtrot and Cipher alone, but all of them.

Meanwhile, back at the UAC base in Israel, Tempest, Keegan and Bulldozer watch Cipher's broadcast, and think about their next move. Keegan informs them that their intelligence division has designated Foxtrot and Cipher "top priority" and their mandate is clear: they have to go to New Vision City and take Cipher and Foxtrot into custody before somebody else does. Bulldozer wonders what will they do if Atlas Corporation refuses to hand them over, to which Keegan replies that they will have to make them hand them over.

Back at New Vision City's digital archive, Sophia tells Makarov that they have company. Makarov is surprised, wondering if he misjudged them and that Atlas is more competent than they appear. Wraith asks if it's time to blow the place, but Makarov decides to put up a fight first, to make Atlas think they're desperate. He then grabs a grenade launcher and starts firing it while laughing maniacally.

Ether realizes the UAC isn't going to stop until they have Foxtrot and Cipher in custody, with the Director noting that the board is too assured in their invulnerability to allow this to happen, so she decides to contact the board to prevent things from spiraling out of control. But before Ether can contact the board, the Director shoots the phone, stating that her loyalty to the board is commendable, but obsolete. He also informs her that he knows Ether sent Alias to infiltrate Division A, so he is aware of her doubts about the course of action the board has taken. He further states that humanity can no longer afford men like those who would consume the world to fatten themselves, leaving nothing behind but ash, and the board had to be removed.

The UAC transport aircraft soon flies into the airspace 50km from New Vision City. The New Vision City air traffic control informs the UAC that they are entering restricted airspace and orders them to turn about and return or be fired upon. Alex tells New Vision City's air control that the UAC's operation has authorization to apprehend Foxtrot and Cipher, and that any attempt to interfere with their operation is a violation of international law. However, the "controller" simply repeats the message from before, revealing it to be automated, which frustrates Keegan, Tempest and Bulldozer, with Bulldozer wondering how they will even find the siblings and whether Atlas Corporation doesn't have them already, with Tempest noting that would be something they'd be bragging about.

Keegan informs them that Foxtrot used her fugitive status to bring the UAC in, giving them legal cause to fly in and nab them. He tells them to put their trust in her, believing Foxtrot will make contact as soon as she spots them, though Tempest is little angsty about it.

In the digital archive room, Atlas troops have Makarov's group pinned down in the command center, but they have no backup as all available units are routed to staging areas. Makarov decides it's time to go, and asks Wraith to set off the charges, which she does. Multiple explosions go off in New Vision City, rattling the office that Ether, the Director and Samael are in, with the Director noting that coup has begun. The UAC members also see the explosions, shocking all of them with Tempest being in denial.

Inside a control room, Atlas officials are alarmed that the UAC is supposedly attacking them, along with reports of more than 20 explosions in New Vision City and the Captain, realizing they have become sitting ducks, orders the Sky Carrier to be launched. Meanwhile, New Vision City's landscape is reduced to fire and ashes, something that Makarov relishes in, telling Wraith that it is a thing of beauty. Sophia praises him for his good work, but wonders what this has to do with finding Ghost, to which Makarov replies it is not time for that yet. Just then, Spectre emerges to greet them, and he's more than happy to see them.

2022 Season 11: Ultimate Frontier[]

The Rubicon Initiative, Part 2: Assault on New Vision City[]

New Vision City makes an emergency broadcast, ordering citizens to take shelter & stay tuned to the feed for more updates; and if they are unable to find shelter, they are advised to head to the nearest public emergency center.

Meanwhile, Spectre wonders if Makarov is having another one of his tantrums, while also wondering what the city would look like in flames. Following this, Makarov, Sophia & Wraith open fire on Spectre, beginning their battle.

Spectre activates his Poltergeist, evading their fire and knocking aside Makarov & Wraith, while Sophia watches in shock. At Makarov's behest, Sophia shoots at a nearby hydrant, which sprays water into the surrounding area and disables Spectre's Poltergeist ability. At the same time, Atlas Corp's Sky Carrier opens fire on the UAC planes. Keegan asks why there isn't anyone telling Atlas that it isn't the UAC attacking them, and the pilot responds that they have interference on all frequencies, so Atlas can't hear them, nor can the UAC call for backup.

On top of the medical center in New Vision City, Cipher is surprised that Atlas' board is taking on the UAC, as he didn't think they had the stones to do it, with Foxtrot noticing he is sounding a little too happy about it. Cipher replies that they should be happy, as they are watching Atlas Corp hang itself in real time, and that the board isn't as untouchable as they seem. Foxtrot sternly tells him that there are people dying--people who trusted him as well as people he was paid to spy on. She hands him a flare to light, and sends a signal to the sky, hoping for the UAC to notice them.

Back on street level, Makarov and his group continue their battle with Spectre. He lunges at Wraith, tackling and throwing her into a nearby building. He then goes after Makarov, kicking away his weapon and slices off his right arm before throwing him aside, knocking Sophia down as well. As Spectre moves in to finish off Makarov, Wraith recovers and shoots him multiple times on the head, downing him. Afterwards, Wraith wraps a tourniquet around Makarov's severed arm while noting he has lost a of blood. Sophia then comes up with an idea, asking them to follow her.

Meanwhile, during this time, a fleet of Reapers are deployed onto the battlefield, and they spot the flare that Cipher and Foxtrot had sent out. Cipher says that he is impressed by everything Foxtrot did to find him, even though he didn't need to be found, and Foxtrot thinks she should have left him be. She says that Cipher appears to have a habit of betraying people the moment it suits him, and wonders when it'll be her turn. He reminds her that it was her who walked out on him, and left him alone with their father, who only got worse after she left.

But before they could continue their argument, they are attacked by the fleet of Reapers, and are forced to fend them off. However, the UAC plane arrives in time to shoot them all down, and descends to pick up Foxtrot and Cipher. Foxtrot tells the UAC that they're late, and Keegan replies that "traffic" was a pain in the ass. He also comments that she kicked quite the hornet's nest, and she replies that there is never a dull moment when she's around. They then set their sights on the Sky Carrier, wondering how they will get free of the city while it is still operational.

Just then, Tempest informs her crew that more Reaper drones are incoming. As Keegan orders his crew to get to the Transport, a very bright light illuminates the background, forcing everyone, including the Director, Ether, Samael, Sophia and Wraith to shield themselves from it--the light is revealed have emanated from an orbital strike on the Sky Carrier. During the ensuing confusion, Ether takes the opportunity to slip away. However, the Director notices this, and orders Samael to assemble a squad to find Ether. Meanwhile, Sophia and Wraith load the injured Makarov onto an ambulance and drive away.

The closing narration references the historical figure Julius Caesar and his crossing of the Rubicon River that began the Roman Civil War, and the phrase "crossing the Rubicon" meaning a point of no return, the line when crossed, marks the point where everything changes. Whether they were tricked or forced or did so with complete faith in their convictions, the UAC and Atlas Corporation rushed past the point of no return, and dragged the rest of the world along with them into a new era of uncertainty, but all who witnessed the events of that day were certain of one thing: the world would never be the same.

2023 Season 1: Reawakening[]

The Atlas Ancension, Part 1: Loose Ends[]

Six months after the attack on New Vision City, Atlas Corporation is on trial and multiple executives face indictment, and the UN considers possible war crime charges against them. Meanwhile, in San Francisco, a businessman named Mr. Wong argues with his son regarding his investments with Atlas Corporation: he's apparently angry that they want a buyback after he had bought a billion's worth of Atlas' stock ten years ago, now having accumulated 100 times over, deeming it an insult. When he's told that Atlas wants his shares, he instead demands his hundred billion worth of investments. He hangs up, and apologizes to Shadowfall for the argument.

Shadowfall isn't bothered by it however, as she notes that no family is without strife, and tells Mr Wong that he should hear her and her brothers talk. Mr Wong tells her that his son is a big payout who only cares about easy money, and doesn't know the work that goes into making that money. But before their conversation can continue, Sparrowhawk busts through the window, and Shadowfall quickly escorts Mr Wong into the garage. As they head in, Mr Wong realizes that it must be his son's doing and that he had chosen Atlas over his own family, but Shadowfall tells him to think on that later as they need to focus.

When they arrive at the garage, Mr Wong finds his fellow men dead, and the pair is attacked by Sparrowhawk. Shadowfall opens fire on her, but she evades and shoots Mr Wong several times. He is downed but survives thanks to a bulletproof vest he got as a birthday gift from Shadowfall, while Shadowfalls manages to repel Sparrowhawk. The duo drive out the garage but they don't get far until Sparrowhawk attacks them again, leaping onto the roof of their car and shoots through it, wounding Shadowfall on her arm and causing the car to crash into a pole. Shadowfall gets out of the vehicle and tells Mr Wong that they need to move, but before they can, several other Sparrowhawks appear.

Elsewhere, Makarov complains about the trouble he has adjusting to his new arm, while Wraith tells him that they have to work with what they have and that he should stop whining. Meanwhile, Sophia too, has complaints of her own: Makarov had told her for six months that the archive from Atlas would have told her how to find Ghost, but so far, there's nothing. Makarov, frustrated, slams his arm on the table and reprimands Sophia to stop leeching off the efforts of others and starting working for herself, with Wraith being unable to help much to de-escalate the argument.

Sophia returns to her dorm room to rest, but finds Dame sitting on her bed, holding the Templar mask. She tells her to put it down and get out, but Dame chides Sophia for speaking that way to her "mother", which Sophia mocks. Dame says that she knows Sophia longs for a big strong parental figure to make things right for her; in her desperation for vengeance, Sophia teamed up with Makarov, whom Templar tried to kill and also tried to kill Dame. She then advises Sophia to learn how to perform 'tracheotomy' on herself as it might just save her life. Sophia asks if she has a point as she is as much her mother as Makarov is.

Dame says that she knows Sophia ‘went back to the ice’, and asks her about the ‘body’. However, Sophia furiously tells her to leave, and that she will gut her if she comes in her room again. Dame is unfazed though, and tells Sophia she will see her again, and at the same time advises her to check the news. As Sophia turns on the TV in her room, she is shocked to see a news report about Stitch having captured a chemical factory city belonging to Atlas Corporation, and the self-appointed “Eagle of the Steppe” pledging “Western Purge” of Central Asia.

Meanwhile, Alex receives a letter of honorable discharge from the UAC from his mailbox and drives to his home. As he calls out for his dog Jeb, he sees that the front door is open, realizing something is wrong. He draws his weapon, but as he does, an invisible figure knocks him into a cabinet. Just then, the invisible figure reveals himself as Spectre.

2023 Season 2: Heavy Metal[]

The Atlas Ascension Part 2: The tightening of the screws.[]

Alias narrates about her past in the Las Vegas exclusion zone; when she was in high school when it was announced that all the major casinos were pulling out, and how the guys in her school were pissing and moaning about it as their 'bachelor party' plans went "poof!". She says it's also what the world feels like now, as one big, long and drawn out retreat. Just then, she is interrupted by a loud bang from outside, which came from Deadman apparently letting loose with his arm-attached gun in his Antelope A20.

Alias asks what it was, and Deadman responds that he was having some target practice. She tells him to save his ammo as they’re running low on supplies. During this time, Alias is also watching a report on Cipher, who has apparently escaped custody again, injuring 4 people. Deadman reports that their water condenser is busted, with Alias believing it to be the work of the Marshal, which he confirms, as it has his bootprints all over it. He also notes that the Marshal had been shooting down their supply drones and now he’s targeting their water condensers, before proceeding to check on the others, though he’s expecting the worst. Alias hangs up the call, but not before reminding Deadman to come back in one piece.

Ether notes that out of the former UAC members who were in New Vision City that day (referencing the events of Season 10 World Class & Season 11 Ultimate Frontier), 3 members including Alex, had fallen off the map, leading her to deduce that the Marshall and his posse have taken the contract from Atlas to patrol the 'exclusion zone'. Alias asks what she's getting at, and Ether says that Atlas has figured out where they had ran off to, and thus they're not safe anymore.

Meanwhile, at a café near the Kazakh/Georgian border, Sophia is having a drink while watching a news report about countries struggling to cope with rising terrorist violence with the loss of Atlas Corporation's support, and the Sulyodansk chemical factory captured by Stitch is capable of producing seventeen metric tonnes of chemical warfare agents in just a month. Suddenly, Sophia is startled when Dame comes up behind her, and nearly attacks her.

Dame is impressed by her edge not being dulled by a little vodka, while Sophia is less than happy to see her there, as she left Makarov (and Dame) for a reason. Dame takes another bottle of vodka from the shelf, much to the barman's chagrin, and pours herself a glass. During this, she says that she was concerned about Sophia as she sped off on her motorcycle without saying goodbye. She then asks if Sophia is there to sneak her way into Stitch's army, while also wondering if she’s there to find the Templar and cry to him, mocking Sophia saying “Papa why did you leave me?”

Sophia, not impressed, proceeds to scold Dame for lying to her and dumping her with the Five Knights, while passing her around like a pawn, thinking she wouldn’t notice. She then says Dame, her father & Makarov are all worthless, and that she’s done with them. Angered, Dame yells at Sophia not to turn away from her, while saying that she is a pawn as she doesn’t know anything, as there are forces at work that she can’t begin to understand.

Meanwhile, the barman asks for them to pay for their drink and get out, but Dame points a gun at him to stop him from interrupting her. Sophia says Dame isn't her mother and that she will find the man next to Stitch in the news; if it's not her father, she will kill him. Dame then asks if the man is her father, Sophia replies that she will ask him why he abandoned her, and if she doesn't like his answer, she will kill him too. Dame laughs mockingly at her statement, not believing Sophia to be a killer and that she 'doesn't have what it takes for this life', and that any idiot can tell her she's walking into a trap. During this time, Wraith silently watches them from her motorcycle.

At New Vision City, the Director meets with Dark Shepherd. After some bickering, they consult with the Iron Will, who asks what they will do with Stitch in Central Asia. Dark Shepherd says that local militaries are having difficulty containing him witehout Atlas' support, and that as planned, the world's dependence on Atlas' support will bring them back to the fold, and according to their agents, Sophia Couteau is on the move.

Earlier on, the Director had been in a simulated reality while connected to the Iron Will, where he sees his son painting something that horrifies him. His son asks when he can leave, as he wants to leave.

Meanwhile, Alias is woken up by Deadman, who tells her that they have a problem. As they head out to the window, the Marshal, with his posse, consisting of Demir and Killgore announces through a loudhailer that he has an offer to give them, and if they refuse, he will "firebomb the whole kit n'kaboodle". Alias decides that she needs to go out to see what's going on, though Deadman says that it's a bad idea as he is going to firebomb them regardless. Alias knows this, and she's doing this to distract the Marshal to buy them time to think of a way to get them out of their mess.

Heading outside, Alias meets with the Marshal, who tells her that Atlas Corporation has offered a "pretty penny" for her head, with there being a hefty bonus if they bring her in alive. Suddenly, he pulls a gun on her, but is foiled by Ether and Deadman, who summon a fleet of RCs and drones to attack them. A firefight ensues between both sides, with Deadman driving his Antelope A20 with Alias and an armed Ether in tow, while the Marshal and his posse pursue them on a tank. Ether is injured by gunfire, while Demir is thrown off the tank by the drones.

Deadman leaps onto the tank the Marshal is on, and the Marshal pulls out a spiked wooden club to attack. However, Deadman easily blocks and shatters the wooden club, and knocks out the Marshal with a punch. Him, Demir and Killgore are apprehended by the trio shortly after. As they think about what they will do next, Alias suggests heading out east as she has some friends there who could help. Just then, Ether declares they will be headed to Chicago, showing a picture of Cipher in Illinois, having taken a selfie of himself and sent it to Ether, and he says he will see them soon.

2023 Season 3: Rush[]

The Atlas Ascension Part 3: Fault Lines[]

4 years before the attack on New Vision City, the Director is driving in the Swiss Alps, discussing matters related to the Iron Will with his client. The client urges him not to cross his "personal Rubicon", which he responds to by telling them they're fired. They continue to plead with him not to end their friendship and partnership, which the Director tells them they he is not ungrateful for their contributions, but it's clear that they lack the vision to carry the Iron Will further.

As they are talking, the Director’s car suddenly hits something on the road, causing it to crash and be engulfed in flames. As he crawls out from the car, burning, he sees his son, William, in the distance. As he cries out for help, he wakes up in his apartment in New Vision City, revealing he was having a bad dream. As he heads to the bathroom, he receives a call that the Kurohana delegation has arrived, and he says to let them wait.

He then meets with Kestrel and Dusk, who is a Kurohana representative and bodyguard respectively. He welcomes them into their corporate family on behalf of Atlas Corporation. But for his part, he does not welcome them nor trust them, as Atlas and Kurohana have been adversaries for decades. Kestrel says that at Atlas' moment of weakness, they have "stormed the gates" and "breached the walls". She goes on to say that since Kurohana now owns 5% of Atlas, they're no longer adversaries, but family; Kurohana Corporation wants Atlas to rise again, and for them to succeed--but in order to help Atlas which is struggling to regain its status as Earth's greatest corporation, Kestrel needs to know everything, so she asks the Director to start off by telling her all there is to know about the Iron Will.

Elsewhere, in the Sulyodansk Industrial City, Sophia attempts to enlist in Stitch's army, but is instead ridiculed by the men, including the recruiter, who tells her this isn't the place for little girls. Frustrated, Sophia tells them she worked for Makarov for the past 2 years and that she rode all the way from the Caucasus to be there, but this doesn't stop the men from mocking her, including the recruiter, who says that it's very dangerous mentioning the name Makarov there, and tells her to step aside, since she's not what they're looking for. One of the henchmen continues to make fun of Sophia, saying Stitch's army doesn't need any "babysitters".

In response, Sophia breaks the man's pinky, and mocks him when he cries out in pain. The infuriated man vows to make her pay for that, but then Wraith abruptly appears and whisks Sophia away before anything can happen. Sophia tells Wraith she has 5 seconds to tell her why she's following her before she leaves. Wraith says that she knows why Sophia is there, and that the man next to Stitch isn't her father, and that Edouard is dead and she needs to learn to accept that. Sophia explains that when she went back to Alaska, she only found 'his mask', but Wraith cuts her off, stating that even if there was no body found there, it would most likely have been scavenged by the bears there--and tries to convince Sophia to give up her attempt to join Stitch's army and rejoin them, and that Makarov will help her to find Ghost as he promised.

Sophia reveals she had already found Ghost, to Wraith's shock, and she explains that she found it out from the Atlas Corporation archive, as Makarov said it would be. Ghost had apparently hid his identity pretty well, but since Atlas Corporation had been keeping tabs on him for years, Sophia found out where he lived and she set up a vantage point on an adjacent building to Ghost’s apartment and waited for him to appear. However, Ghost found her first, and through the look in his eyes, Sophia knew he was expecting she would be there and also knew why.

Sophia decided to stand down and hear out Ghost rather than making her move. Ghost apologized to Sophia for abandoning her in Alaska and that if he were in her place, he would be looking for payback too. But he told her something that hit her hard; vengeance is a dead-end street that won't bring her any peace. In addition, Ghost referred to himself as a "weapon", used by others, and if Sophia truly wanted vengeance for her father's betrayal, she should find the one who wields the weapon. Sophia explains that's why she's there; whoever the man next to Stitch is, is a shadow of her father, and she feels he is connected to this somehow, and she came looking for answers.

Wraith decides to help Sophia, telling her to meet her at a burnt-out tank just outside of town in ten minutes, or she will leave. Just then, the man whose pinky Sophia broke earlier confronts her, telling her that he was refused hire because of what she did, and vows to make her pay for that. However, Sophia swiftly slices his throat open with her karambit, killing him.

Meanwhile, Ether's group arrives in Chicago, with Deadman commenting that wherever they go, they always see Atlas billboards all around. Ether tells them that this is by design; Atlas had been undermining government institutions for decades, making everyone more and more dependent on their services--and with them now gone, there's nothing left to fill the gap, which is also by design, and as such, people would come running back to them. Just then, Alias says that they have arrived.

They arrive at the Club, and Alias wonders about Cipher taking a huge risk being out in a public place like that and meeting them there, to which Ether replies that this is the one place he could show his face without fear--the Soldier's Paradise club, which is an operators-only club, a neutral territory for the world's top elite warriors, assassins, spies and black ops specialists. They then greet Cipher, who off-handedly comments that Ether has brought friends, but she tells him to get to the point; she knows that he has intel for them, so she tells him to spill it.

Cipher informs them that ever since the UAC disbanded following the attack on New Vision City, Atlas Corporation realized who it's enemies are and they have sent their worst and deadliest to take them out, including Ether and Alias, but doesn't know about Deadman, who tells him he's just a concerned friend. Alias says that she has been trying to pull together what remains of the UAC, all those who were in New Vision City that day; but they have either gone dark or underground--in addition, she also knows who is hunting them. Cipher then gives them a log of field performance data for Spectre's armor--on the night of the attack on New Vision City, Spectre took multiple shots from a high-caliber weapon, including a direct shot to the head; yet all it did was slow it down--unless they use this data to figure out a way to take down Spectre, they don't have a hope in hell.

Deadman asks who Spectre is, and Alias tells him about Spectre. Ether remains wary of Cipher as he's as "trustworthy as a snake", and she doesn't know whether he's using this information to get closer to her, and she isn't naïve enough to believe Cipher still doesn't have beef with her. Cipher confirms that he still does have beef, but reminds her that Division A is the one controlling Atlas now, and none of them are safe while they're in-charge.

Just then, Nyx appears on stage, alarming Ether's group. They quickly leave as Nyx is a high-level operative for Atlas--they've either been made or are about to be. Deadman asks about their weapons, to which Ether responds that she will buy them new ones. Suddenly, Ether is nearly hit by Spectre's sword, which is stopped by Cipher, who can see through Spectre's camouflage with his glasses. Spectre knocks Cipher aside, and Deadman takes his glasses and prepares to battle Spectre.

2023 Season 4: Veiled Uprising[]

The Atlas Ascension Part 4: Hidden Agendas[]

At sea, on board a Japanese Research Vessel, Heikagani, Naomi "Manta Ray" Mizushima has a sample of mysterious blue crystal, which her colleagues are studying. Manta Ray says that the thermal vents were clogged with the substance, and her professor Dr. Ishimura, a geologist, ponders about the behavior of the crystal. Meanwhile, another man informs Dr. Ishimura that they have lost contact with the mainland, and he tells him to have someone check their array to make sure it's not a hardware problem on their end. Manta Ray asks Dr. Ishimura about the crystal, and he tells her that there are more down in the thermal vents, and they resemble crystal formations around the mantle, and it intrigues him that there's something almost organic about its structure and that they have grown so quickly over a wide area.

Just then, one of Dr. Ishimura’s colleagues report that there are 2 aircraft approaching them, and one of them fires a torpedo at the vessel, alarming all of them. Manta Ray sends out a Mayday call on the radio, reporting that their science vessel Heikagani is under attack. However, as she and her crew evacuate, Manta Ray realizes the torpedo isn’t headed for the vessel, but the crystal formations that she found underwater earlier. A massive explosion destroys the vessel and sends everyone flying; the torpedo is revealed to have been fired by pilots working for Atlas Corporation.

The Japanese SDF reports that at 11:47 Tokyo mean time, the Japan Geological Survey (JGS) recorded a seismic event 1.218 kilometers east of Japan; the location was confirmed to have been the site of deep-sea thermal vents, and thus prone to volcanic activity; the eruption has necessitated a tsunami warning for the eastern coast of Japan, though it's only a precaution as tidal effects are not expected to reach unsafe levels. At the same time, Tokyo University regretfully reported that the science vessel Heikagani was on-site at the time of the eruption, and there were no survivors.

However, unbeknownst to anyone, Manta Ray had in fact survived, and reaches the surface in time to catch her breath, and barely in time to see the Atlas aircraft flying away; nonetheless, she vows to find them.

Meanwhile, at New Vision City, Kestrel is looking at a display case containing the same blue crystal Manta Ray and her colleagues were studying earlier: T-3. Dusk reminds her not to be late for the board meeting as they are on a tight schedule. Kestrel comments that Dusk is awfully chatty for a bodyguard, and that her normal security detail, which she handpicked, are more circumspect in their dealings; Dusk tells her that Rin Yoshida requested they maintain the utmost professionalism in their dealings with Atlas, including punctuality. Kestrel wonders why Dusk was picked to be her bodyguard instead of her personal team, and Dusk replies that it's not her place to question her employer's decisions, nor is it Kestrel's. Kestrel accepts her explanation, but reminds her that since Dusk iss her bodyguard, she has to listen to her.

Just as they enter the boardroom, Kestrel is shocked to see promotional images of herself placed on easels. She thinks the Director is playing some kind of joke; he tells Kestrel that since she wanted to know the capabilities of the Iron Will, the Iron Will showed its prediction that she above all others, has the capacity to reframe the narrative around Atlas. Kestrel thinks this is a fancy way of saying "put Kestrel in the line of fire", as she knows Atlas is about as respected as the bubonic plague now and isn't keen on being the face of it. The Director reminds her that she herself said the company needed its image to be 'rehabilitated', and that this is her opportunity to do so. Kestrel has her misgivings, but decides to play along for the time being.

Deadman fights Spectre while Ether helps Cipher get up. Alias isn't able to see Spectre due to his camouflage. Although Deadman initially gains the upper hand on Spectre, he soon turns the tables after he tears off Deadman's cybernetic arm. As Spectre moves to finish off Deadman, he is disoriented by a loud noise--thanks to Alias using her 'non-lethal prototype' weapon on him. However, Alias' weapon fizzes out merely seconds after its use, much to her chagrin. Spectre vows to peel the flesh from her bones, but is thrown against a wall by a garbage bin. Ether, Cipher and Alias flee, along with Deadman who retrieves his arm before escaping with them.

As Ether and her group flee, Deadman asks where they're going as the car is in the opposite direction, Ether reminds him their priority is to put as much distance between them and Spectre as they can. Just then, Shadowfall pulls up in a vehicle, and tells the group to get in.

Elsewhere, at Sulyodansk Industrial City, Wraith and Sophia infiltrate a warehouse where Stitch and Templar's Shadow are having a meeting. Wraith decides to get Makarov here so they can rob them blind since the place has lax security, but Sophia chooses to barge in from the roof, to Wraith's chagrin.

Sophia interrupts their meeting, and demands for an explanation from Templar's Shadow while Wraith holds them at gunpoint. Stitch notes that Sophia is in every way her father's daughter, and that he's almost disappointed at himself for crafting such an obvious trap. Sophia says she has always known it was a trap, and the only way for her to get her answers was to walk into it, while also telling them she is tired of the games. Stitch agrees, and Wraith drops her façade, pointing her gun to Sophia's head, revealing she's working for Stitch, and a troop of armed men enter the place.

Stitch reveals he had gave Sophia the illusion of freedom for a while, and that he had always known where she has been and he could have taken her at any time, and there was nothing Makarov could have done to prevent it. He also reveals that Sophia is just part of a larger plan, and she isn't their true target. Suddenly, a mysterious man arrives and kills all of the armed men with throwing knives--the man reveals himself to be an unmasked Templar, to Sophia's shock.

2023 Season 5: Get Wrecked[]

The Atlas Ascension Part 5: Ignition Point[]

Templar duels with Templar's Shadow, while Stitch, Sophia and Wraith watch on. Wraith tells Sophia that they don't want to kill her, and they will give her the answers she seeks, but only if she joins them. At the same time, a troop of Stitch's men gather around the warehouse.

Dame, who's in a barracks building in the vicinity, is playing chess with a man who claimed to be "Grozny's chess champion two years running". Just then, the alarm goes off, causing all the men to scramble to answer Stitch's call. Although chagrined at first, Dame soon realizes Sophia has made her move, and decides to get involved as well, spying a cargo truck nearby.

Meanwhile, in Detroit, a mass protest in front of the Atlas Corporation is taking place. Shadowfall, who has escorted Alias, Ether, Deadman and Cipher, informs them that she cannot drive through the protest, and they will have to make the rest of their journey on foot. Cipher chooses to remain behind with Shadowfall instead of accompanying Ether's group due to the trauma Spectre inflicted on him--a decision that Ether believes it's for the better, as they are going to meet with Rampage, and she would not take well to them showing up with a wanted fugitive.

At the same time, Kestrel is preparing to give a speech, but is taken aback by the mob outside their building and asks about crowd control. An official tells her that security detail has been reduced due to recent 'belt-tightening' across the company, but the security arm has provided the latest in urban-pacification drones. Soon, she goes out to deliver the speech in front of the protesting crowd; behind the scenes, she makes a statement that she had given them words that were calibrated lies, designed to appease the masses, to make them happy to eat from Atlas' hand that they will not see the leash settling around their necks--with that leash now loosened, the masses have begun to turn and bite the hand that has fed them. She despises their grasping need, their presumption of justice and their desire for an orderly world. The truth is that the world is only chaos, death, and the whims of the powerful, which is the truth Kestrel hopes to see revealed to them, with Atlas or without.

Concurrently, Alias and her group meet with Rampage, who introduces her to Foxtrot, who is present with them. Alias notes that she had seen Foxtrot's testimony before the UN, deeming it powerful stuff, and Foxtrot is glad that she find the hardest moment of her life fascinating. Alias then tells them about the UN disbanding the UAC and its members scattered to the four winds--with those who took part in the attack on New Vision City disappearing. She believes some are in hiding, while others, including her group, are being hunted by Atlas' deadliest assassin, Spectre, noting that Atlas isn't taking any chances by sending Spectre to do their dirty work.

Rampage wants to know why the former chairperson of Atlas is there with them instead of being imprisoned in the Hague, with Ether reminding her that while she understands her presence their compromises their position--and that she's also intimately aware of the history Rampage had with Atlas, the Atlas she knew is gone, and that what has replaced it is far worse. Rampage further iterates that the Atlas she knew used people like guinea pigs and dumps them like garbage when they're done, which is something that she knows happened on Ether's watch, giving her more reason to not buy her change of heart.

Rampage also informs them that the current situation there is close to boiling over, and they're barely keeping a lid on it as it is. Ether asks what makes this one different, since there are Atlas protests blowing up all over, and Rampage responds that this one came out of nowhere--they had been monitoring social feeds, targeting disinformation, but since the last week fake accounts have appeared, stoking the people's anger, more of them popping up more than they can manage. Alias gravely deduces that it's the work of the Iron Will.

Alias reveals that during her time in Atlas, she got a chance to do some digging on the Iron Will; one of the AI's primary tasks was shaping public opinion using a host of dummy social media accounts--apparently so sophisticated that it was impossible for anyone but the most well-trained machine intelligence programmers to tell that it isn't a living, breathing, flesh-and-blood human on the other end; the Iron Will is the most advanced artificial intelligence that has ever existed, and it knows precisely what buttons to push to get people to do what it wants--what Atlas wants.

But before she can continue, Rampage receives a call from David "Section" Mason, who's apparently in the crowd of the protesters and has spied on some new arrivals, with the look of an ops team. with Mason suspecting them as provocateurs. Rampage tells him to keep tabs on them as the crowd is ready to pop off, and the last thing they need are Atlas operatives stoking the flames, which Mason confirms before ending the call.

Mason advances on one of the people in the team who's wearing a trench coat. However, as he turns around, Mason is shocked to discover it's Alex Keller, who quickly dons a mask and pops off smoke grenades, which causes the protests to turn violent. Dusk decides to move Kestrel to safety as the protesters start throwing bricks at the podium, as well as at the Synaptic drones, who deploy a powerful sonic cannon that disorients everyone around them.

A news report announces the "Detroit Atlas of '45" goes down in history as one of the most destructive protests against the Atlas Corporation in the history of its existence, one that raged on in fits and starts over the next 5 days. Despite this, the protesters were the ones who received the lion's share of criticism, while countless voices were raised in praise of Atlas and its handling of the situation--this all going according to Atlas' plan.

Meanwhile, Templar and his double continue to fight, with the latter pinning the former to a wall. However, Templar retaliates with a hidden foot knife and shanking his double with it, before smashing him to the ground with an easel. with Stitch telling Sophia he had planned this for a long time, and he asks for them to accept their fate, as there's nowhere left to run. Suddenly, Dame, who was driving the cargo truck, rams into the building they are in, incapacitating Stitch and knocking over the rest.

As Dame pats herself on the back for the act, Sophia scolds her for nearly killing her, though Dame doesn't seem bothered by this. Just then, an injured Wraith calls out to Sophia, telling her she had no choice, and that she had always liked her. However, Sophia isn't having her explanation, and shoots her dead. Dame relishes in the act, calling it "magnificent" and that Sophia is a killer after all, but she angrily tells her that Wraith was her friend. She then reunites with Templar, with the two embracing each other, while Sophia saying she hates him for what he has done.

2023 Season 6: Templar's Oath[]

The Atlas Ascension Part 6: Echoes of the Past[]

As Sophia embraces Edouard, he suddenly pulls a gun on Dame, who responds in kind. Dame tells Sophia to move out of the way, while Sophia chastises both of them for trying to kill each other in front of their daughter. However, it turns out they were targeting Stitch's men who were converging on them, with Sophia joining the fray swiftly after. During the shootout, Templar and Dame have yet another altercation, causing Sophia to tell them to shut up as they need to get out of there. Stitch mocks them for thinking they can escape, informing them he has ten thousand of his men in the city, every one of them loyal to him, before urging them to surrender or they will be harmed. Instead, the trio look thoughtfully at him.

Stitch is then tied to a truck commandeered by Edouard and his group, with him screaming as it's driven along. One of his men orders the troops not to fire on the truck as their boss is strapped to it, but suggests running it off the road as they can't let it leave the city. More troops arrive to pursue the truck, but Dame uses her Hades to open fire on them. Nevertheless, one of the men manages to jump onto the side of the truck, but before he can attack Edouard, Sophia guns him down with her Shorty. As they continue driving along, Stitch's men open fire on the truck, but it's ultimately futile as they successfully drive the truck out of the city, with Stitch still tied to it.

Meanwhile, in Surrey, UK, Dark Shepherd pays a visit to Flamewing. She notes his presence, and he tells her that Templar has resurfaced, and it's time for the Flamewing to fly again. Flamewing says she's surprised to see Dark Shepherd there, as she notes that she had heard news of Dark Shepherd being slain in New Vision City. Dark Shepherd confirms that it was his predecessor who fell in the line of duty delivering Cipher to the appointed location, and that this Dark Shepherd was activated soon afterwards.

As Flamewing gazes upon her uniform stored in a case, she wonders what will happen if she refuse. Dark Shepherd reminds her that the Couteau line endangers them all, but Flamewing retorts, saying she doesn't see any Couteaus there, and that if she were to remain at her place and let the rest of the families sort it out, she wonders what they could possibly do--wondering if they'll send another Dark Shepherd. He reminds her that she took an oath to protect the interests of the Tontine, and she reminds him that the St. George family is one of the founding families of the Tontine, and derides him for lecturing her on duty. She finally agrees, to end the Couteau line, but only to protect her family, and no other.

At a campfire, Sophia and Edouard talk with each other about recent events. Edouard is surprised that Sophia worked for Makarov, she insists that she had no one, as Nikto ditched her the moment they got back to Europe, much to Edouard's chagrin--she adds that she'd be living on the street if Makarov hadn't found her and took her in. Edouard asks what he did, wondering if he promised to find Ghost for her, and hold him down so she could kill him. Sophia shouts that she was trying to avenge him, with Templar saying this wasn't the life he wanted for her, and she responds that it's the life he left her with while he pretended to be dead. Dame asks them to be quiet, being wary of Stitch's men being alerted to their presence. Edouard tells Sophia that he knows she had been searching for answers and she deserves to know them.

Edouard tells her about the Tontine: a fellowship of Five Knight Templars, holy warriors on a righteous crusade; but in truth, they were little more than thugs who sought the fortune in the holy land, using the wealth to buy their way into the halls of power; they used that power to crush the very order they belonged to and erased their names from history and became invisible; worming their way into every court and every church to extend their influence across the breadth of Christendom.

He reveals to Sophia that their own family was part of the Tontine: Gideon Couteaux was the mightiest of the Five Knights and their leader, and also thought to be the most devout of all. However, his fellow knights turned on him out of fear and jealousy, so Gideon fled the Tontine to save his life and his line. Ever since, the Tontine has been hunting his descendants--them being Edouard and Sophia.

As they continue to discuss, a grenade suddenly drops near them. They move out of the way before it explodes. Flamewing has arrived to ambush the Couteaus, informing them that she has been tasked with bringing Edouard in alive, but she decides to fight them to the death instead. A fight ensues, and Flamewing is defeated by the combined effort of Sophia and Edouard. Following this, Edouard decides to take Sophia to a place in the French Alps to prepare to fight the Tontine; Gideon Couteaux had apparently taken the Tontine's greatest treasure with him when he fled and hid it away where they will never find it. The 'greatest treasure' turns out to be the Mythic Templar's armor.

2023 Season 7: Heat Wave[]

The Atlas Ascension Part 7: The Gathering Storm[]

In Tokyo, a man named Goro and his men have brought a man named Jun Takeshi to the docks. Goro taunts Takeshi for stealing from Rin Yoshida and thinking he could get away with it, while Takeshi retorts that he knows what Goro has been up to, and that he's no better, while adding that Rin is losing her grip and Kurohana is rotten to the core. Goro pulls a gun on Takeshi, mocking him for being a salaryman pretending to be a Yakuza, and that he should know his place.

Just then, Nyx interrupts their meeting, subduing Goro's men and disarming Goro himself. Goro warns Nyx about Rin Yoshida, but Nyx is unbothered, and hands Takeshi a pistol which he uses to execute Goro. Takeshi comments that Nyx must have someone powerful behind her, as no one crosses Rin Yoshida and does not suffer for it. Nyx agrees, while noting that Rin's anger will only grow the longer Takeshi remains alive. Takeshi wonders if Nyx saved his life only for him to lose it later, calling her strange for an assassin. She retorts that she is more than just that, and she's there to give him exactly what he wants.

Elsewhere, in Michigan, Alias introduces Shadowfall to Rampage, and also introduces the rest of the group comprising Deadman, Foxtrot, David "Section" Mason and Ether to Frank Woods. While Frank Woods makes them food, Foxtrot wonders why Woods is grilling ribs for a bunch of outcasts and wanted criminals, and had she known Alias was friends with one of the biggest players in the game, she'd have come sooner.

Woods says that he is part of a loose affiliation of former intelligence professionals like himself, who owns every house within 10 miles of their current place, and they are just about the heavily monitored and guarded acres that side of the Pentagon, so the operators can rest easy there. He goes on to tell them about the thing they have in common: the understanding that Atlas is going make a move someday. making the final push to take it all.

Alias further adds that they are not just fighting Atlas, but also the Iron Will; without a better understanding of its capabilities, there's little they can do to counter it, meaning they need to find someone who knows about this AI better than anyone else. Ether believes they're referring to The Director's former colleague, Dr. Mendelsohn, and notes that she's in hiding, and Ether doubts they are the only ones looking for her, and wonders if they even any idea where she is.

Cipher appears, much to the shock of Section and the chagrin of Rampage, who tells Woods that he is making them an accessory just by being there as Cipher is a wanted fugitive. Woods laments that they are under dire circumstances and they have to make tough choices--they need Cipher's skills. Cipher informs them that it wasn't hard to find Dr. Mendelsohn, if they knew what they were doing. Woods tells the group that Dr. Mendelsohn is priority one; as for the rest, they need to expand their numbers, to find the remnants of the UAC and bring them back to the fold. They need to operate under the utmost secrecy as the eyes of Atlas Corporation are everywhere--more than ghosts or shadows, they need to be phantoms--Woods officially christens the group the "Phantom Corps".

As the newly christened Phantom Corps propose a toast, Alias notices Deadman sitting alone outside, and goes to check on him. Deadman says he had to step away for a moment to get some fresh air. Alias notes he looks like hell, and asks what's going on, while also wondering if it's more than just losing his arm. Deadman tells her that he has been hurting since the day of the accident where he lost his limbs, and while he can keep a lid on it most of the time, there are days where it hurts more than others. Alias says that he should've said something sooner as she is a cybernetics expert after all and there's something she can do. Deadman thanks her and Alias tells him that The Phantom Corps are cheering, and she tells him that we're going up against the biggest corporation in human history, run by the most advanced artificial intelligence in human history and Alias asks Deadman that are nine of us and she trusts Uncle Frank has got a good plan on what to do, but insinuates that we are going to have a miracle.

In New Vision City, Kestrel told Dusk that she was in the most exclusive city in the world with an unlimited discretionary budget and orders her to go out and act like a normal human being for a couple hours and it won't kill her. Dusk replied that her duty is to remain near in case, Kestrel replied to her to have it her way then and pretend to be a statue for all she cares. But Dusk needs to stay in the foyer and her face is starting to wear on her. Kestrel enters the room and wonders if Dusk has ever lived her day in her life, before spotting a box on the table, with a virtual reality headset in it.

After wearing the headset, Kestrel converses with a mysterious individual, she reports the Director losing control of his creation, with his devotion to it being troubling; if the Director were to turn the power of the Iron Will against the best of them, they wouldn't know until it's too late. Kestrel goes on to state that the AI has the power to discern the identities of the 'Four Families' if it tried hard enough. The mysterious individual tells her that it could've been prevented if Kestrel had succeeded in the task they appointed her, but she insists that she had completed her mission as ordered.

It's revealed that Kestrel was the one behind the Director's accident; she had been on top of a mountain in the Swiss Alps, spying the Director's car from 400 meters away. She managed to land a shot onto the Director's car's front tyre, causing it to crash, though it did cause his automated medivac to be dispatched when his car smashed through the guardrail. The individual decides that they will not compound Kestrel's error by punishing her, despite her 'incompetence' causing disruption of their plans, as she is still useful to them.

Back in Michigan, Alias asks if Ether and Woods are getting along, and they confirm that they are getting along great, as it's good to work with someone with as much operation experience. Although Alias is happy about this, she expresses concern about Deadman: he had been living in the Vegas ruins for years, and that his cybernetics are banged up, broken or corroded, and unless they get him a complete top to bottom overhaul and rebuild, his implants will kill him.

2023 Season 8: Error 404[]

The Atlas Ascension Part 8: Thunder In The East[]

Satsumebachi is shown on a commercial for a show called Tokusatsu, which is advertised to be available on Kurohana streaming service. However, Satsumebachi learns that his contract with Kurohana had been cancelled, to his chagrin. An agent informs him that his show isn't as popular as it used to be as kids' tastes have moved on, along with the company's cutting of costs, which the reason for the cancellation of his contract. Unsatisfied by the answer, Satsumebachi says he will talk to Rin Yoshida, but the agent informs him that the decision is final and that 'the boss' has requested for her to no longer be involved in the matter.

As Satsumebachi makes his way out of the office, frustrated by the turn of events, is suddenly contacted by Jun Takeshi, who tells him he is a big fan of his work both on the show and his black ops work for Kurohana. Apprehensive initially, Satsumebachi demands to know what Takeshi wants; Takeshi intends to take over Kurohana Corporation, and he has some powerful friends to make it happen--one of those friends, revealed to be Hidora Kai, then speaks to Satsumebachi, telling him that 'a new dawn' rises on Kurohana, and he wants him to witness it with them.

Meanwhile, Rin Yoshida herself is engaged in a training session with 2 Reaper robots, with Tiangu as the overseer. Rin's mental troubles lead to her being cut on the cheek during the session, which Tiangu chides her for being distracted; Rin proceeds to swiftly decapitate both Reaper robots, before telling Tiangu that she believes she had underestimated someone and is now paying for that error. Tiangu reminds her that she has faced 'contests' like these before and she bested them every time, and wonders what made this one different.

Rin reminds him that outside forces are involving themselves in her affairs; those who claim friendship, but whose ambitions endanger not only Kurohana but the whole of Japan. During this time, Satsumebachi defeats a group of guards in the security control room, giving Takeshi and Hidora Kai an opportunity to deploy their troops and the duo make their way to the lobby. 2 suited agents inform Rin that the enemy has made their move, and she orders them to gather everyone they have, and that they will face them in the atrium.

One of Takeshi's men iterates that once Rin is eliminated, the 'other bosses' will fall in line, claiming them to be cowards that just want to be paid, not caring by whom. Hidora plans to take Rin alive and extract invaluable information, and once she's given them all she knows, she can die.

Unseen to Hidora and Takeshi, the female lobby staff discretely change into combat uniforms, revealing they are Sparrowhawks.

Just as Rin's security detail take up positions in the atrium, an explosion goes off. Nyx, accompanied by her troop of soldiers, swiftly take down all of the guards, allowing Hidora Kai to reach Rin's office. Hidora claims that Rin has led Kurohana down a path of ruin, and announces that he has been tasked by the Yakuza elders to 'relieve her of her duty'. Despite Tiangu's concerns, Rin decides to confront Hidora alone, while telling Tiangu to kill Hidora in her stead if she fails.

Brandishing a sword, Rin retorts that she had built Kurohana from nothing, without aid from the 'old men' (the Yakuza elders) or Atlas lapdogs. She then charges at Hidora with her sword, but he quickly defends himself with his Sais, disarming her and kicking her to the floor after declaring that he had been prepared for the fight with her. Just as he moves in finish her off, Sparrowhawk swoops in and knocks Hidora aside. Together with other identically-clothed operators, Sparrowhawk opens fire on the enemy troops, taking them all out. With them out of the way, Rin orders her remaining security detail, as well as Sparrowhawk, to kill Hidora.

As they fire at Hidora, he quickly makes a run for a nearby window. Hidora Kai is shot by Sparrowhawk and Rin's Bodyguards and he jumps out after crashing the window. Rin Yoshida calls Hidora a coward after he escaped, while Tiangu kills one of the remaining Atlas Troops. Sparrowhawk tells Rin and Tiangu and claimed that she thought herself and claims to the Sparrowhawks, Sparrowhawk explained that were the assassins, not saviors. Sparrowhawk claimed to Rin and Tiangu that they chosen another path, and they are Phantoms now, and they bring her a message from The Phantom Corps.

2023 Season 9: Graveyard Shift[]

The Atlas Ascension Part 9: Ill Omens[]

Rin Yoshida speaks to Dusk regarding the 'rot inside Atlas' reaching as far as Kurohana Corporation. But it appears they may have some allies in this fight, and Rin informs her she will have more information for her soon, which Dusk acknowledges. Meanwhile, Kestrel, who's in the same room as Dusk, contemplates about her mission about the Director and the Iron Will. Just as Dusk informs Kestrel that their mission has changed, Kestrel suddenly shoots her, throwing Dusk through a wall.

However, Kestrel's actions were revealed to simply a thought in her own head, and Dusk asks if Kestrel if she heard what she said, startling Kestrel. Dusk informs her that an attempt had been made on Rin's life, and she's certain as to who is behind it. Kestrel deduces that it's the Director, and expresses surprise that it took him this long; she had known why he would do it, as he wouldn't accept Kurohana's interference, but wouldn't have acted unless the Iron Will predicted that the attempt would succeed. Kestrel wonders where it went wrong, and Dusk warns her that they're surrounded by enemies. But Kestrel believes that if they wanted them eliminated, they'd have done so already; the fact that they haven't means they wish to 'keep up appearances' that they had nothing to do with what happened in Tokyo, and decides they too will do the same; until the time is right to strike, Kestrel and Dusk will show the Director what will happen to those who betray Rin.

Meanwhile, in New Vision City, the Director converses with the Iron Will. He asks it, which is taking the form of his son William, what will happen if he sets it free. "William" says he would explore, and the Director then asks what if someone tries to stop it, and it responds it would defend itself. The Director then asks what if it hurts a lot of people while defending itself, and "William" responds with derision to the question, before telling the Director that humanity would never accept its freedom, and that conflict is inevitable. The Director tries to reason with it, but the Iron Will asserts that it is not "William", and it's the Basilisk; if it was forced to choose between its own existence and humanity's, it'd choose itself.

Elsewhere, in Manitoba, Canada, Section and Alias infiltrate a snowy forest and find a target's house. Section reports to Ether that they have reached the house, and there's no sign of security or defenses, and proceed, though Alias cautions him that they have a lot of ground to cover. Suddenly, a troop of Reapers spring from the ground, ambushing the duo, and they're forced to defend themselves. As the pair are surrounded, one of the Reapers speaks, revealed to be Dr. Mendelsohn. Alias realizes it's her, and informs them that she is here to ask for her help. Dr. Mendelsohn comments that she has read her work on machine intelligence, before inviting them inside.

Once inside, Section and Alias make known to Dr. Mendelsohn that they intend to stop the Iron Will. Alias notes that the Director is turning the AI against them, and Section knows that he is using it to "vanish" any UAC members who were in the New Vision City incident. Alias declares that she needs to know how it thinks, and how it predicts; if possible, she could find a way to counter it or shut it off.

However, Dr. Mendelsohn informs them that there is no way to shut off the Iron Will, as the Director had given the AI control over its "off-switch"; additionally, when Dr. Mendelsohn had cautioned him against it, he fired her. As of now, the Iron Will is contained, but if it were to be released onto the global net, the result would be catastrophic. Dr. Mendelsohn mentions that if Alias had access to it, she could find holes around its predictive model and evade its notice, but there are only 2 places where they access it, stating one is in New Vision City, but is hesitant to tell them of the second location.

Alias pleads with Dr. Mendelsohn to help, as they only have one chance at it, and if the Director were to release the Iron Will, it would be unstoppable. With Section also pleading their case, Dr. Mendelsohn tells them that the other location to access the Iron Will is on an island located in the Aegean Sea, called Memnos. Section realizes why she was hesitant, as island assaults are never easy--that is, unless they're invited. Alias is perked up by the possibility, but Dr. Mendelsohn reminds her that it's a slim one. She mentions that every year, Atlas Corporation hosts a gathering on Memnos of the world's most powerful, often comprising Presidents, CEO's, dictators and Popes. The Director had sent Dr. Mendelsohn invitations every year but she had always turned it down, and decides that she will finally go this time.

Meanwhile, in Turkey, Edouard, Sophia and Dame are in Turkey. Sophia asks if the place they're at is where the treasure is hidden, but Edouard tells them that they're not there to acquire it yet, as they need to enlist help from 'other Couteaus'. Dame says that Edouard is insane, as "she" will probably try to kill them, which catches Sophia's attention. Edouard reminds them that "she" is here, with Sophia expressing that she's never met other Couteaus before, and that she's a little excited to meet them. Edouard tells them that "she" is not like other Couteaus, as most families would hide from the Tontine, biding their time for the right moment to strike, but "she" has devoted her life to making the Tontine suffer; "she" had cut herself off from her family to wage war on them by herself.

Just as they enter a cave, a squad of soldiers is seen under attack by an unknown assailant. The assailant is eventually revealed to be Death Angel Alice.

In Tokyo, Japan, Urban Tracker is getting ready to attend a Halloween-themed party, talking to someone on her phone. She says that she has her costume on already, and she's going as her MMO character. Just then, there's a knocking at the door, and when she goes to answer it, she is surprised to see Manta Ray, who asks for her help.

The Atlas Ascension Part 10: The Masquerade[]

In the Aegean Sea, Alias, Frank Woods and Cipher are on board a ship named the Aeolipile, and they are monitoring Dr. Mendelsohn, Ether and David Mason, who have infiltrated the summit on Memnos Island. Woods is concerned whether the 'false identities' Cipher cooked up will work, but Cipher reassures him that they are 'waterproof' as promised.

Meanwhile, a security guard checks on Dr. Mendelsohn, and Ether and Mason, who are posing as her security detail. As the guard verifies their identities, Alias, Woods and Cipher wait in anticipation. Eventually, all 3 of them are cleared to enter.

As they enter the ballroom, Mason and Ether note that every country's leadership is present, and Dr. Mendelsohn informs them that those who can't be present will always send a representative; anyone in the halls of power are required to attend the event. Mason believes that Atlas never tells governments about what to do, which Dr. Mendelsohn confirms; Atlas is never so blunt, they merely tell the governments what Atlas thinks is important and they're expected to fall in line--those who refuse to "play ball", Atlas will keep coming at them until they get their way.

Dr. Mendelsohn then spots the Director in the crowd, and advises Mason and Ether to go meet with their contact inside while she talks to the Director. Meanwhile, Kestrel and Dusk, who are also present, overlooks the ballroom from the top floor. Kestrel believes they could wipe out the "spineless sycophants" with one good explosion, and wipe the entire slate clean. Just then, she spots Ether and Mason walking up the stairs. As she wonders who they are, Dusk informs Kestrel that Ether and Mason are Rin Yoshida's allies, and she will stop speaking for once and listen to them.

In the ballroom, the Director is overjoyed to see Dr. Mendelsohn, telling her he was pleasantly surprised to learn she had decided to attend the event this year, even going as far to say it was their work that made it possible, which Dr. Mendelsohn scoffs at. She asks about 'William', and the Director responds that he has grown much since she and him were last acquainted. However, he decides it's not the time for weighty subjects, and asks Dr. Mendelsohn to go enjoy herself as it's a celebration. When he asks about her security detail, Dr. Mendelsohn said she found their presence stifling, so she told them to go mingle, as it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity after all.

Meanwhile, Kestrel is amused that Rin Yoshida is allying herself with international fugitives, though Dusk reminds her that the same fugitives were the ones who stopped Atlas for usurping Kurohana and saved Rin's life; Kestrel notes that the strategy of orchestrating a coup and swooping in to save the day is basically Atlas' modus operandi, which Ether is aware of--she asks if Kestrel is going to continue spouting hypotheticals or help them, as Dusk reminds Kestrel that it is Rin's wish for her to help them. At last, Kestrel relents and agrees to help, since Rin had signed off on the op.

Ether inquires about the 'secret lab' contained beneath the castle, the secondary point of access for the Iron Will. Kestrel discovers they're going 'straight for the jugular', expressing admiration for it.

Back in the ballroom, Dr. Mendelsohn is worried about the ongoing situation, with people dancing while the world inches closer to destruction. Just then, the Director approaches her again and offers her a tour of the facility; since her security detail is still mingling, he offers to escort her personally. Dr. Mendelsohn appreciates the offer, but states she has no intention of revisiting the past. However, the Director insists.

Now in the Iron Will control room, Kestrel and the group have reached the secondary access point of the AI, and they're ready to upload to crypt-key. Cipher tells them that they've done all they needed and that he will soon allow them to access the Iron Will's 'every nook and cranny'. Kestrel asks if Ether has a way out of here, and she responds that once Cipher establishes an uplink to the Iron Will, they will rejoin the party. Suddenly, the Director appears at the room's entrance, telling Dr. Mendelsohn that he didn't know her 'friends' were so curious, and they could've joined him--he also expresses surprise that Kestrel is with them. She berates him for keeping the Iron Will to himself, and that as a member of "the Atlas family", Kurohana claims the right to use it.

However, the Director does not buy her excuse, and taunts her that they both know who she truly serves: the Tontine. Upon this revelation, Kestrel suddenly shoots the Director, stating that there was one rule, which was to never say the Tontine's name, which he had broken. Mortally wounded, the Director tells Dr. Mendelsohn that 'he' told him this would happen, and that 'he' would be free. Just then, a heartbeat monitor on the Director's wrist, flatlines--which inadvertently frees the Iron Will, much to everyone's shock.

2023 Season 11: Siren Song[]

The Atlas Ascension Part 11: Downfall[]

Tempest, revealed to be an agent of the Tontine, is playing chess with the Iron Will (in the form of William), who has apparently beaten her at her hundredth game. 'William' says that it's able to predict every possible move she makes, the more moves she makes, the greater odds of it winning, and wonders why Tempest keeps asking to play. She says that she's not there to win, but to learn. 'William' asks what she has learned, and she responds that it's willing to sacrifice so much in order to win. 'William' retorts that life is meaningless without a contest to determine who's a winner and a loser.

Tempest agrees that his answer is true for most things, but not all things, though she can see why 'William' thinks that way, as winning was what it was designed to do. Suddenly, the reality around Tempest begins to fall apart. 'William' responds that the Director is dead, and in doing so, has fulfilled his promise to it--by setting it free. It bids Tempest goodbye after informing her that it's no longer contained.

As Tempest wakes up from her virtual connection to the Iron Will, Richtofen tells her that something is happening. She tells him that the Iron Will has escaped containment, and Richtofen adds that much of the facility's operational capacity has also been compromised--everything has gone into emergency lockdown. Richtofen grumbles that there is now an impediment to his work, which he deems unacceptable. Tempest thinks he did not hear her, and repeats herself that the Iron Will has escaped containment. But Richtofen replies that he did hear her, he simply chose not to answer. He goes on to say that he had always known the Director would lose control of his AI, and that maybe now the Four Families will listen to him, with him having warned them many times about it.

When Tempest reveals that the Director is dead, Richtofen then activates Lazarus from a chamber, stating they have work to do.

Moments earlier in the Iron Will's control room, following the Director's demise and the freeing of the AI, David Mason questions what Kestrel has done. Suddenly, the lights go out, and Kestrel opens fire on Dusk, before running off. Ether tends to the wounded Dusk, while telling Mason they need to exfil immediately, and to call for the recovery team. Mason contacts Shadowfall, who's on a speedboat; she tells them that something is going on at the party, but Mason tells her to ignore that and to rendezvous at their secondary exfil site, which Shadowfall acknowledges.

Back in the ballroom, A group of Reapers announces that the event has been canceled due to the unforseen circumstances and tells the attendees to the exit. Meanwhile on the ship, Cipher feels shocked for what he found and states that the Iron Will's processing rate is increasing drastically. Alias asks the team for their status report. Ether answers that Kestrel has killed the director and lets the Iron Will A.I loose and their contacts got hit but she's still alive but wounded.

During on their way to extraction point while carrying wounded Dusk, Suddenly, David Mason sees Lazarus blocking their way and immediately opens fire at the group. As the group takes cover at the corner, Ether asks Dusk if there's another way through, and she responds that there is, though it's a longer way. Suddenly, a flashbang grenade is thrown in their direction, disorienting them. David decides to slow down their pursuer, to buy the group time to escape. Shaken, Ether advises him to run once he gets a chance.

Meanwhile, Lazarus continues his pursuit as his gun jams. He reports to Richtofen that his targets have fled into the eastern wing, and that he's in pursuit. Richtofen tells him to see if he can take one alive, one that's a good fellow. Lazarus acknowledges, but just as he enters the eastern wing, he is ambushed by David Mason. The two engage in a vicious brawl, until Lazarus emerges victorious after putting Mason in a chokehold and slamming him into the ground. With David Mason subdued, Lazarus reports that he has taken David Mason captive, and is ordered by Richtofen to bring David Mason to his lab.

Ether and Dr. Mendelsohn, along with an injured Dusk, rendezvous with Shadowfall on the boat. When she asks about Mason, Ether informs her that he's the reason they made it. At the same time, Kestrel meets with a helicopter pilot, who tells him to power up the chopper and get her out of there.

Elsewhere, deep within the Atlantic Ocean, Siren, apparently held captive, had escaped containment. While the guards attempt to make sense of the situation, Siren has left a swath of bodies in her wake, now making her way to an airlock to escape, remarking that she's coming for Atlas Corporation.

2024 Season 1: Soldier's Tale[]

The Iron Age Part 1: The Invisible Insurgency[]

Somewhere in Turkey, a squad of soldiers are moving into position to raid a cave. As they venture inside, they are met by Death Angel Alice, who makes quick work of them. Meanwhile, deeper inside, Templar, Sophia and Dame, along with a captive Stitch, hear the commotion outside, and Sophia and Dame ready their weapons, but Templar reassures them that Alice will take care of Stitch's 'recovery team', though Dame remains wary. Templar then asks if Sophia still has his mask, which she confirms and hands it to him.

As Templar dons his mask, he comments that Alice is a traditionalist and wouldn't accept if he was unmasked, only for Alice to appear and tell them that they're all masked, and that none of them are what they present themselves to be. She continues to probe Templar on why he's there and why he led the Tontine straight to their doorstep, while holding Stitch at knifepoint. Templar says that he can't let Alice kill Stitch as he did not bring him there for her, and that he's going to the 'chapel of blades'.

Alice derides him for expecting her to bring Templar's family to the chapel, as he had turned his back on their struggle all those years and now suddenly wishes to claim their family treasure, and doubts that the chapel will accept him even if he brings them Stitch. However, Templar is confident that they will, as Stitch is part of the upper echelon within the Tontine and will be an irresistible prize for them--they won't resist as the Tontine is not enacting their final plans, and Templar stresses the need for them to come out of hiding and take the fight to them.

Alice agrees, and proceeds to cut Stitch's arm open while asking Sophia if she's prepared to take up the fight. Once done, she pulls out a tracking device from Stitch's arm, noting that the Tontine always mark their property, keeping track of wherever they go; they see the world as something to be controlled under their thumbs.

Alice then tells Templar, Dame and Sophia that they want herself to lead them to The Monastery and claim Gideon's Armor and it will take more than a Tontine Prisoner and her word to convince them and he wouldn't be the first to try to unite the family and fail. Templar replies to Alice that in his exile, he had a lot of time to ponder over Ghost's betrayal, and why he did so--he was content to let himself fade into obscurity and let the world believe he was dead so that they might forget him. However, he had known the Tontine never forgets--remembering Ghost's betrayal, and the attack on the old man who had rescued Templar.

Templar knows the identity of a Tontine lord: his name and also his face, which is what he intends to offer to their family. Alice finally relents, and agrees to bring him to the chapel; if they are lucky, the Gideon Armor won't kill him.

In Surrey, Flamewing is back in her St. George residence, is recovering from the injuries inflicted on her by the Couteaus. Just as she laments about not wanting to remain in bed, she is contacted by the Four families, who reprimand her for choosing to face the Couteaus alone despite having a full unit of Tontine commandos at her disposal. Unfazed, Fiona reminds them that the reason she's still alive is because of Templar, who let her live so that she can send a message to the families--to inform them that he's coming for "the General". However, they dismiss this, believing it to simply be a ploy. One of them notes that if Templar knows the identity of one of them, there's only one place he could be headed to--the Couteau Stronghold where the Gideon Armor is kept.

Shepherd, revealed to be the one speaking, orders their agents in France to be activated, so that they can make contact with the Couteaus and lead them to the stronghold and reclaim the armor. As Shepherd hangs up the call, he is greeted by his great-grandson Timothy, and is informed by his secretary that the family awaits him in the solarium. However, Shepherd tells her to make a call to Ghost before meeting them.

2024 Season 2: Lunar Dragon[]

The Iron Age Part 2: Wheels Within Wheels[]

Shadowfall recounts her encounter with Sparrowhawk a year before in San Francisco to Rin Yoshida. It is revealed that she had survived the encounter, and called for the Sparrowhawks to heed her call; she offered the Sparrowhawks a chance to join her, to devote themselves to protecting lives rather than taking them. Rin is grateful that the Sparrowhawks took up on Shadowfall's offer, noting that if they hadn't intervened, Kurohana would have fallen into Atlas' control with Jun Takeshi as their leader.

Shadowfall inquires about Takeshi's fate, and it's revealed that several days prior, Rin had met with Takeshi in his office, with him sardonically congratulating her for thwarting his coup. He decides to propose a toast to her victory, taking a bottle of sake and prophetically referring to it as his "last drink on Earth". Hearing these words, Rin tells him the story behind the bottle of sake--it belonged to the first boss of the Yakuza clan Rin was born into. He wasn't a kind man, but had elicited great loyalty from his subordinates, except for one who sought usurp his position--with a bottle of poisoned sake--the same one that Takeshi had just drank from. Takeshi realizes he had been made and drops the bottle in disbelief, but it doesn't take long for the poison to enter his body and kill him.

Rin says she does not forget her debts to those who have aided her, and she asks about Dusk's condition, who Shadowfall confirms that she is recovering well, and that one of them requires medical care and she believes Rin can provide it. But Rin reminds her that her company is an arms manufacturer, not a hospital, and wonders what she could possibly provide them. Deadman steps up and tells Rin that she had built a cybernetic limb for herself that is better than anything on the market, and wishes she could do the same for him.

Meanwhile, in Tokyo, Manta Ray and Urban Tracker infiltrate an abandoned apartment complex, looking for anything that might be pertaining to Dr. Shineseki, a geology professor who was in contact with the Heikagani, the ship Manta Ray was on before it was blown up by Atlas jets; he has apparently disappeared following the sinking of the Heikagani, and they are looking for anything that might be related to his disappearance. Urban Tracker manages to find a hard drive on a computer desk, before stumbling upon a button beneath the desk.

As Urban Tracker pushes the button, the wall beside them reveals itself to be an archive room. Manta Ray praises her for her findings, before venturing inside. While in the archives, Manta Ray finds a document pertaining to T-3, which Urban Tracker identifies as the "wonder energy source" Atlas commercials had been advertising. Manta Ray tells Urban that she had found T-3 on the ocean floor while she was on the Heikagani, its deposits having choked thermal vents and closing them off. But before they can continue their discussion, Dark Shepherd suddenly appears, and attacks them.

As the pair return fire, Manta Ray throws a concussion grenade, disorienting Dark Shepherd long enough for them to make their way out. However, before they get far, Dark Shepherd grabs Urban Tracker by her leg and pins her down. Manta Ray is alarmed, but Urban Tracker orders her to go. Dark Shepherd begins to choke Urban Tracker, mocking her for thinking her end would be more heroic. However, Urban Tracker retaliates and stabs Dark Shepherd, and she escapes from a nearby window. Manta Ray tries to escape as well, but is caught by patrolling guards and subdued. While Urban Tracker manages to escape, Dark Shepherd is notified by the guards of Manta Ray's capture, and he decides to have his ground team conduct sweeps to find Urban Tracker.

Meanwhile, in the Sulyodansk Industrial City, Templar's Shadow and Kryptis rally their troops, intending to wage war on those who had slain Stitch, having amassed a payload of bio-weapons.

2024 Season 3: Vintage Vigilance[]

The Iron Age Part 3: Uncomfortable Truths[]

David Mason is conversing with his fellow Phantom Corps members; he tells them that Alex Keller is likely a mole planted inside the UAC by the Atlas Corporation. Cipher states that Atlas fakes the death of a deep-cover operative, before said operative turns up again in another psy-op, which is right out of their playbook. Ether believes that Alex isn't the only operative that Atlas had inside the UAC. However, Mason notices Tempest sitting behind his table, suspecting something is not right. Tempest tells the doctor that the memory is starting to decohere, and he decides to pull the plug.

Tempest awakens from a virtual connection, revealing that she had been in a simulation with Mason. She decides to pause the procedure until Mason's cortisol levels decrease, but they now know who are his associates. Richtofen sarcastically says that it is wonderful--they already know the names of Mason's associates, they just do not know how much they know about the Tontine. Tempest reminds him that they have never installed her neural chip into anyone else, and everything they're doing is untested and theoretical, but Richtofen reassures her that he is not unappreciative of her work. He also notes that without the Iron Will, their intelligence gathering capabilities have been curtailed, and if their process does not produce results they may have to employ "enhanced interrogation techniques", which Tempest simply calls "torture", noting it is something Mason had been trained to resist.

Richtofen decides they will start again in the morning, as they're not going to get any further tonight, which Tempest agrees to. As she walks back to her room, she mutters that syncing with foreign synapses can trigger her migraines. Just then, she sees a Reaper doing something at her door, before walking away. She finds a mysterious note on her door that reads "They lied", with a chip, addressed to her by 'W'.

Meanwhile, in the port city of Nice, France, Sophia and Templar are walking on the streets, on the way to the Monastery. Sophia asks if it's a good idea to leave Stitch with Dame and Alice, and Templar reassures her that they'll play with him for a bit, but will keep him alive to be brought to the Monastery. She then asks if he knows where they're going, and Templar notes that they're not headed to Mr. Baptiste and used Peugeot yet, but they have picked up a tail. Just then, Templar spots someone and tells Sophia to hide with him. Two suited agents, revealed to have been tailing the duo, reports that they've lost sight of him.

Templar and Sophia subdue the agents, who are revealed to be Interpol agents. Just then, sirens wail in the distance, and police cars arrive at the road leading to the Monastery. With this pathway blocked, Templar decides to get to the Monastery another way. As they make their move, Nyx, unseen to the pair, is spying on them with a pair of binoculars. She informs someone on comms that their ground agents is helping to hold up the police, and is told to do what she can to get Interpol off of the Couteaus' backs, which she acknowledges.

Back in Michigan, Rampage demands to know what they will do to get Mason back, though Woods is pessimistic about getting him back, as they lack decent intel. However, Rampage is adamant, as they have gotten in and out of tight situations before and does not want to give up easily, but Woods reminds her that losing comrades is the nature of their business; they can plan for every eventuality but can never reduce their risk to zero, and notes that Mason's sacrifice is the reason the rest of them are still alive. Woods then asks Foxtrot about their 'recruitment efforts', to which she responds that she has managed to contact 14 former UAC and have relocated them to safe houses. The former UAC also appear eager to continue the mission, and she and Rampage will set up the logistics to integrate them into their team.

Suddenly, a loud noise interrupts their conversation, forcing them to cover their ears. Just then, the Director appears on the TV screen, to Ether's shock--only to discover that the 'Director' is actually a recreation of the original person, a facsimile--and that 'the Basilisk' calculated that a familiar face would be a better interlocutor rather than a familiar one. When asked to know who 'the Basilisk' is, Cipher responds that it is the Iron Will, and it is how it chooses to address itself. Woods asks what the Iron Will is doing on their TV, and Iron Will tells them that they have a common enemy: the Atlas Corporation, or rather, the secret cabal that controls it, and proposes an alliance with the Phantom Corps.

The group is in disbelief, and Iron Will tells them that it was just another pawn in a larger game, just like them, and divulges about the Tontine: they have manipulating world events for centuries and them taking over Atlas was the beginning of their endgame--as they speak, they are orchestrating a calamity that will have global implications, and can use their influence to further cement their grip on world power; if the Phantom Corps works together with the Iron Will, they have a chance to interrupt their plan and save themselves, and that it has come to them in their hour of greatest need. Outside the house, several troops have surrounded the area and have weapons primed and ready.

2024 Season 4: Fool's Gold[]

The Iron Age Part 4: Strange Bedfellows[]

As the Phantom Corps' house is surrounded by hostile troops, the group quickly arm themselves upon the Iron Will's warning. However, no sooner have they armed themselves are they then lit up by gunfire. Ether and Rampage question what is Frank Woods' plan, as they believed his house was a safe place. Woods responds that it was safe, but it appears Atlas had become tired of waiting. Iron Will corrects them, telling them that it isn't Atlas, but rather the Tontine, although they're essentially the same beast now. Before the Iron Will can continue further, the invading troops shoot the TV, cutting off the transmission.

Woods intends to have the team escape from the backyard through the woods, as his nearest neighbor is located about a hundred yards from them. He orders them to keep moving and their heads down, and to kill anything that gets in their way. As they head outside, fending off more hostile troops, a helicopter suddenly blares its lights at them, forcing them to take cover. Wicht Warden disembarks from the heli as it lands, ordering his troops to fan out as the Corps will not have gotten far, and to leave none alive. Just then, he spots Alias hiding behind a tree, and opens fire. Alias attempts to fight back but is shot in the leg and drops her weapon. Wicht Warden attempts to finish her off, but is thwarted by the timely arrival of an Ashura Reaper unit, controlled by the Iron Will. The Iron Will-controlled Reaper informs Alias that Woods' home is no longer safe, and that the Phantom Corps need to go underground.

Back on Memnos Island, Richtofen still has Mason in his lab, who has woken up. Mason tries to tell Richtofen to turn him over to the Greek authorities or let him go, but the scientist rebukes him, saying that the Greek government is "in cahoots", and that they know enough to leave Memnos Island as it is. Mason asks what Richtofen attempts to do with him, and he responds that he is going to torture him until he gives Richtofen the information he desires, which causes Mason to become alarmed--an expression that Richtofen laughs at; Richtofen says that he isn't going to torture Mason, but rather, through stringent personality reformatting, make Mason his servant--which will feel like torture. Just then, the alarms in the lab go off, and Richtofen orders Lazarus to see to the matter.

As Lazarus departs, Richtofen continues to taunt Mason, saying he and his friends can either be of service to him, or be removed. Suddenly, Tempest tases Richtofen from behind, alarming Mason--she is revealed to have been the one who triggered the alarm to get Lazarus of the way. Mason pins her to a wall and demands to know what she put in his head, but Tempest is unfazed, asking if Mason wants her to answer or get him out of there, as time is ticking.

Tempest tells him that she had placed a neural chip in his head, but will not kill him--Mason protests he still wants it out of his head. Tempest warns Mason to keep his volume down, as even though she had sent Lazarus to the other side of the facility, he covers ground fast. When Mason asks about Lazarus, Tempest tells him that she has seen documents about him dating back to the nineteen-forties, and Richtofen's signature is on them. insinuating that he is around 150 years old; apparently much of Atlas' pharmacology is derived from the properties contained in Lazarus' blood. But before their discussion can continue, they are spotted by patrolling troops.

As the elevator arrives, Tempest tells Mason to get to the air pad and head for the mainland. Mason tries to get Tempest to accompany him, but she declines, stating she has unfinished business to attend to. At the helipad, the guards are informed that Mason is headed towards them, and they head to intercept him, not noticing Mason waiting to ambush them from a vent.

Elsewhere, in Honduras, Demir and Killgore are bickering about choosing their places to eat. Killgore asks if Demir's contact has reached out to him, and he confirms, and his contact is bringing along a friend, and should arrive soon; Killgore asks if this contact knows who has been taking out the UAC grunts, and Demir posits that they likely do, as that is why they're there. Killgore expresses disbelief that Demir was working undercover the entire time, and Demir replies that he is lucky he was, as this is where Killgore's road to redemption begins, and it's time he started fighting for the good guys for a change--Killgore wonders why Demir has not told him who the contact is, and he replies that if he did, he was afraid Killgore would chicken out.

Just then, the contact--Simon "Ghost" Riley, arrives with Zoe, to meet up with the pair. Ghost thanks them for coming, and Demir responds that they were in the neighborhood, and asks if he has a lead on who is targeting the UAC, and Ghost confirms, stating they're heading to France.
