EOTech_Sight (history - links - logs)

The EOTech Sight is the Holographic Sight. The description says so, the MW2 and MW3 Holographic Sights show the name. It has the same reticle as CoD4's Holographic Sight. It's a Holographic Sight going by another name.

Pictogram voting merge Merge — Per all. I guess the only reason why it didn't get renamed in MW3 with the product placement deal is just tradition. Raven's wing Talk16:43, January 15, 2016 (UTC)

Comments/Questions

Not that I'm against a merge or anything, but was this discussed before? I just feel like it was but can't place if/when it was.

Also, duck test on COD:NAME states "Article should invoke real-life when named to preserve consistency.". So would we merge this on to EOTech sight as it is the IRL name, or put it on Holographic Sight as that's the more common name? If the latter, I'll edit COD:NAME to reflect that merges like this should use the more common name over IRL.

Doesn't that line refer to the slightly different naming of weapons between games (the example given is of the differences in capitalization between MW2 and BO's Famas)? Besides, the attachment looks and functions the same as the differently named attachment, so isn't that grounds for merge under COD:NAME? And, if we go off of real life naming, wouldn't Holographic Sight be the more accurate anyway, since it's the generic term and EOTech is a company? —Unsigned comment was added by Conqueror of all Zombies 19:17, January 15, 2016 (UTC)
