Fire_Base_Phoenix (history - links - logs)

This is almost nothing but an unnecessary summary of S.S.D.D. Apart from that it is a stub about real life information. We really don't need it. Kowloon was more notable.

Pictogram voting support Support — Per Seijana. FBP isn't notable - the training mission that takes place there is. Sgt. S.S. 17:56, March 3, 2011 (UTC)

Pictogram voting oppose Oppose — Setting for a mission, why not keep it? --Callofduty4 02:06, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

What's the point of keeping it if all we can say about it is "This mission happened here"? Sgt. S.S. 21:47, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Why should we delete it because of that? --Callofduty4 22:08, March 5, 2011 (UTC)]
Because do we have an article on Kowloon? Capital City? Al-Asad's Safehouse? Seelow Heights? Caucasus Mountains? Each of these locations are every bit as notable, if not more notable, than Fire Base Phoenix. I don't see why everyone wan'ts to keep it. Seijana 00:51, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
Doesn't mean we need to delete this. Also, what's stopping us from making those articles? --Callofduty4 01:01, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
Kowloon existed at one point, and was deleted because it was nothing but a stubby summary of Numbers, hell, you pulled the trigger on it. I think the Capital City issue has been brought up before, and the consensus was that we shouldn't have an article on it. Caucasus Mountains would be just a summary of Blackout (I think that's the only mission which takes place there) and Fire Base Phoenix Is the same idea, just a summary of one mission. I think we need to settle the issue of location articles which only cover the events of one mission in the War Room. Seijana 01:07, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Pictogram voting oppose Oppose — This is again just deleting for deleting's sake. Now it looks like the Luftwaffe is winning this one... Smuff[citation provided] 22:39, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

I reckon that is just slander. Seijana 00:45, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Blame Sgt. S.S. for Smuff's odd mention of the Luftwaffe. --Callofduty4 00:46, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
The Luftwaffe thing is an IRC in-joke, and I bring up the "deleting for deleting's sake" argument a lot when I feel that there's no real reasoning for deleting it other than, "We deleted <insert page> as well." Smuff[citation provided] 00:48, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Pictogram voting oppose Strong Oppose — The setting of a mission in an article is not important? Well then, let's delete Russia, Soviet Union, United States of America, and even Rusalka. -- <choose><option>azuris_</option><option>22px-1888721.png Azuristalk</option> 00:34, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

The Rusalka played a major role in Black Ops, it was the goddamn broadcast station If it weren't for the Rusalka, Castro wouldn't have recieved warning of Operation 40's plans, nor would JFK have been killed. Fire Base Phoenix, on the other hand, is just a military base in Afghanistan. Seijana 00:51, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Pictogram voting oppose Vehement Oppose — I see no reason for this article to be deleted, and I strongly agree with Smuffin, I feel that you're just putting up an article for deletion for the sake of it, and there's not much real reason behind the request other than that.
