M27_IAR (history - links - logs)
I think the M27 IAR article should be merged with the M27 article, the M27 and the M27 IAR are the same thing except for the mag. EDIT: Haters, Haters everywhere

Keep
Keep — Per G36C and MG36. In real life they are the same weapon, but in game they have different traits, and as such fall under the "If a weapon is named the same, looks the same, but functions in a drastically different way, split." clause.

Split/Merge
Merge — That example with G36 and the CARBINE variant is flawed because, duh, Carbine =/= AR. But the M27 and IAR are the same things. The IAR does not exist in H&K w/out the IAR part of its name. Also, the Blops2 M27 is not a carbine. <76trombones2 (talk) 23:01, September 14, 2013 (UTC)>
- That was the Carbine/Assault rifle version and the Light Machine Gun version. Also, Sam's quoting of one of our split policies make it very clear why this merge won't happen. Kylet357 · talk 23:34, September 14, 2013 (UTC)
- The example I used was the Assault Rifle and LMG variants of the CoD guns. You're dictating your argument on real life information and not in game information. 23:37, September 14, 2013 (UTC)
There IS no AR or LMG version. Only an Infantry Automatic Rifle exists, which is technically neither. You people can be ignorant of that as much as you want, but trust me, i have personally fired the IAR and it has little to no recoil. I fired it with both its standard 30-round mag and the Armatac SAW-MAG 150 round drum magazine. It's still the same gun, no matter what the magazine looks like/holds.
- You're still using real world information. In-game the M27 is classified as an assault rifle, the M27 IAR is classified as an LMG. 23:39, September 14, 2013 (UTC)

Look @ this is you still think a non Infantry Automatic Variant version exists. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M27_Infantry_Automatic_Rifle
- You're using a real world article to support your case. You cannot use Real world information to dictate your argument. 23:35, September 14, 2013 (UTC)
Ugh... the creators of the policies for this wiki are clearly basement-dwellers... Probably have never heard of real life or think its a server76trombones2 (talk) 23:38, September 14, 2013 (UTC)
