Price_(World_War_II) (history - links - logs)

I propose splitting the Price articles into two articles for Price as he appeared in Call of Duty and as he appeared in Call of Duty 2. They are two blatantly different characters, with different relationships and different unit affiliations. It is logically impossible for Price to be an infantry commander in the 7th Armored in North Africa, an airborne commander in the 6th Airborne during D-Day, back to an infantry commander in the 7th Armored only six days afterwards, and then a member of the SAS two months afterwards (where he is still wearing the uniform of a British Army paratrooper). Even though the dates don't directly overlap, all of this information is conflicting. BC Matsuyama 07:12, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

Pictogram voting keep Keep — Sorry, but if the dates overlapped, then I would support both pages being split. Plus, both character models are nearly the exact same. Capt. Miller 07:23, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

Pictogram voting keep Keep — As I already told the nominator, the character models for the two are almost exactly alike, and the Call of Duty series really doesn't follow real world logic too well sometimes, and the developers just wanted to put the character into multiple situation without having to make new character models for supporting NPC for each one. Also, the main playable character in Big Red One drives a tank twice, so developers are obviously okay with putting players in situations that soldiers would not normally be in. To counter your point regarding Roland Roger driving a tank in Big Red One, that situation was fully explained in the game itself. The character model would have had to be fully redone for the next generation of game anyway. If anything, the Price in Call of Duty 2 is just a reference to the one in Call of Duty. The fact that the two characters participate in the same combat operation in completely different units (the 7th Armored Division wasn't even in Normandy on D-Day) and that their timelines conflict with each other entirely, in my view, says that they are not the same person. I don't know. Belisarius saw quite a lot of troop movement during the wars of the Byzantine empire. Unless any of these events take place on the same day, then it's completely possible they were ping-ponging Price around. Also, given the way IW normally likes having a Captain Price in all their games, they likely brought back the one from CoD 1 as a friendly face, also his general appearance and voice actor do not change further alluding to him being the same person. 08:35, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

Pictogram voting keep Keep — Uh it's important character I don't think it need to delete it. Iw5 cardicon grinchSoap eksiri · talk 16:31, August 31, 2014 (UTC)
