This is a glossary of various player terminology seen in varying levels of usage among players. Since slang and acronyms are always being invented, this list will never be truly complete.

#

360: When the player spins 360 degrees.
360: Can also mean X-Box 360
360-noscope: when the player spins a full 360 degrees and gets a kill with a sniper rifle or bolt action rifle from the hip.
360 Quick-scope: More difficult to pull off, involves a player spinning a full 360 degrees, quickly aiming down the scope, and scoring a one shot kill.
360 Clutch: A clutch in a full game of Search and Destroy including all kills clutched with a 360 quickscope.
360 Tomahawk: When a player spins a full 360 degrees and gets a kill with a thrown tomahawk.
3arc: Treyarch.

A

Ace: Killing the entire enemy Search & Destroy team all by yourself. Similar to Clutch. (See section C.)
Ace Clutch: Killing the entire enemy team in Search and Destroy as the last one left alive on the players team. A variant of 'Clutch'.
Across the map: Getting a kill across the map.
ACR Tryhard: A derogatory term for a player who either rushes with the ACR, or uses it excessively.
Admin: Administrator.
ADS: Aiming Down Sights.
AEAE: All editors are equal.
AfD: Articles for Deletion.
AFC: Away From Controller
AFK: Away From Keyboard.
Aimbot: A program used by a hacker to gain easy headshots etc. by automatically aiming the weapon without the player using the normal controls. Using said aimbot will result in a permanent ban on the Steam network, PSN and Xbox LIVE. It is similar to the aiming program used by campaign NPCs and Black Ops multiplayer bots.
AK: Refering to the AK-47 or AK74U.
Ammo: A shortened term for ammunition.
Anon: an anonymous user.
AR: Assault Rifle.
Auto Aim (when not referring to Aimbot) or Aim Assist: Consoles (Xbox / PS) FPS (First Person Shooters) always default to a setting that assists the user with bringing the crosshairs to nearby; near-center enemies. Often assisting in No-scoping/Quick-scoping and of large debate when it comes to the argument of Consoles vs PC gamers and the everlasting argument of Mouse & Keyboard being superior (since it doesn't need the crutch)

B

BB: Short for Be Bold, a policy on Call of Duty Wiki, stating that a user should edit a page themselves, rather than asking someone else to do it.
Baby Buffalo: When a player runs into the wide open or the middle of the map.
Baby Gun: A new term for Shangri-La's 31-79 JGb215, due to the fact zombies grow big heads and small bodies.
Baby Monitor: Another way of saying heartbeat sensor.
Baby AK- Another term for the AK74u.
Banging: The act of hitting someone with a Flashbang, Nova Gas, Concussion Grenade, etc.
Beckel: A player who has a younger sibling that is better at COD than they are.
BEL: Behind Enemy Lines, a game mode in Call of Duty.
BG: Bad Game (opposite of GG, or Good Game).
B.K Randy (Bad Kid Random): A random inexperienced player that is matched with your team
Blinged: Putting 2 attachemnts on a single weapon, with the Bling perk.
BO: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Boyfriend: A person who saves his own teammate on other team.
Boosting: The act of two or more players collaborating and killing each other repeatedly, usually to obtain kills/headshots/killstreaks without having to put in much effort, usually considered cheating.
- Players reported, and found to be boosting in Black Ops, receive punishments from Treyarch, including Stat resets, Full resets to level One (no prestige), Temporary Suspension, and even Permanant Bans from Black Ops Multiplayer due to extreme or repeated offenses.
BRB: Be right back.
BS: Bullshit.
Buff: An increase in the effectiveness of an item as the result of a patch.
Bazooka: Slang for a rocket launcher. May also refer to the actual Bazooka in one of the World War 2-based Call of Duties.
Beaver shot: When a player gets a headshot with a shotgun. Also known as Bieber shot to some players.
Blops: Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Buck shot: A kill with a shotgun
Burst Noob: Derogatory term for someone who excessively uses burst-fire weapons with a setup that allows for an easy one-burst kill. Some players find burst fire weapons annoying because they can almost always put 3 shots into one enemy, which is usually enough to kill, even at extreme ranges. Players may sometimes only be called a Burst Noob if they camp at long range with a burst fire weapon. See Camping.

C

Camp: The act of staying in one specific area of a map while waiting for enemies to come into visual range.
Care Paco: Slang term for care package
Charlie: The "C" flag placed on any given map in Domination (Charlie being the NATO phonetic alphabet equivalent to the letter C) and also contemporary slang term given to the Viet Cong in the Vietnam War.
Cheat Box: A slang term for the Heartbeat Sensor attachment.
Choob: A skilled player that generally acts like a inexperienced player.
Clutch: A situation in which a player makes a last stroke to win the match while losing by many points. It also is referred usually in Search and Destroy is the last alive on their team. That player then proceeds to kill all remaining players left on the opposing team by themselves, or otherwise win in a situation as the last man alive with at least 3 enemies left alive.

C.O.L. : Chuckle Out Loud
Collat: Short for Collateral
Collateral: When a player gets two or more kills with one sniper bullet
Collateral Damage: A challenge that requires the player to get two or more kills with one sniper bullet. A reference to battlefield terminology of the same name referring to damage that is unintended or incidental to the intended outcome.
Cook: Holding a live grenade before throwing it; shortens the amount of time enemies have to react.
Commando Noob: A player who runs around knifing (usually with the tactical knife attachment) with a Marathon, Lightweight and Commando Class setup in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
CT: Combat Training.
CTF: Capture the Flag.
Core: Non-hardcore modes.
CP: Cod Points or carepackage.
Crawler (Zombies): A zombie who has had his leg(s) blown off by an explosion, resulting in him crawling, and as a result, giving players more time to do things such as upgrading weapons and build barriers without being threatened.
Crouch Jump: To crouch just as one jumps over something, which allows the player's character to pull their legs up, allowing the character to jump over things that would be too high to jump over normally.
CQC: close quarters combat

D

DBAD: Short for Don't be a dick.. A policy on Call of Duty Wiki, which states that you should not try and start flame wars, trolling, etc..
DDD: Short for Don't delete discussions. A policy on Call of Duty Wiki, that states that a user is not to delete any discussion on a talk page.
Deagle: Slang term for a Desert Eagle.
Dedicated server: A non player-hosted server. This means it is hosted by the publisher(s)/developer(s) of the game.
Demo: Demolition gametype.
Dirty KillCam: When somone does a Quickscope/No-scope or any other fancy kill in a KillCam.
DM: Deathmatch, a multiplayer game mode. Commonly referred to as a "Free For All" in the Call of Duty universe.
Dom: Domination gametype.
Domed: The act of getting a headshot.
Drag Scoping: A technique where the player scopes in with a scoped sniper rifle and drags their scope across the target, shooting when the cross-hair aligns with the target.
Dropshot: Going prone immediately upon encountering an enemy in close quarters combat in order to avoid gunfire while shooting. This is looked down upon by many players. (No pun intended.)

E

Elevator Glitch: A glitch that causes the player to rise straight up into the air. Is considered a form of cheating by many.

F

FA: Sort for "Featured Article"
Faggot: Homosexual. Often used as an insult towards other players.
Famas Noob: When a player uses the Famas in Call of Duty: Black Ops extensively.
FFA: Free-for-All.
FFS: For F***'s Sake.
Firecap: The maximum firerate for single shot weapons. The lower the firecap, the longer time between shots.
Flamewar/Flaming: The act of cussing or insulting another user/player with the hopes of starting an argument.
Flamingo Slap: When a quickscoper gets insulted for quickscoping.
Flanking: The act of circling around an enemy to attack them from the side or back.
Flash: Flashbang.
Floater : A term used to describe a player who jumps or walks off the edge of something at the end of the match, to make him "Float". Often seen in Search and Destroy where sometime everyone in the game may be watching one person, depending on the circumstances.
FMJ: Full Metal Jacket.
FMJ Kill: A bullet penetration kill. See "Wall Bang".
F.N.G.: Acronym for "F***ing New Guy": Was originally a derogatory name used in the Vietnam war for new squad members sent from the U.S. to troops in Vietnam, as the veterans often found the new member lacking in essential jungle warfare skills.
FPS: First person shooter.
Frag: Fragmentation grenade.
Friendly fire: Shooting an ally. This can cause failure in single player and is a setting that can be enabled in multiplayer.
FTL: For The Lose.
FTW: For The Win. It could also mean F*** The World
FU: F*** You. Can also mean f***ed up.
FUBAR: Slang/acronym for 'F***ed Up Beyond All Recognition."
FMSprayer: A Player who sprays bullets around windows or thin cover in hope of getting an FMJ kill.

G

Gas: short for the Nova Gas Tactical Grenade
Georgie: nickname for George A. Romero in Call of the Dead.
GG: good game.

Can also mean "Good God" as an expression of exasperation.

GL: Short for Grenade Launcher. (Can also mean "Good luck")
GLAHF: Short for Good Luck All Have Fun
Granada: Portuguese for grenade, usually said by players in an accent to mock the Militia faction in Modern Warfare 2.
Grenade spamming: Excessive usage of grenades/Semtex with little or no actual aiming. Usually in conjunction with the Frag x3 (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare) One Man Army or Scavenger perk.
Grenade Switching: Throwing a grenade at teammates and quickly switching teams for kills. Usually done on hardcore for no friendly fire penalty and for easy kills. (Only on PC due to the fact that on consoles, players cannot switch teams.
GOML: Get on my level.
Griefing: Intentionally ruining other players' fun by performing annoying actions (e.g. team-killing, using excessive flashbangs).
GTFO: Get the F*** Out or Get The F*** Off.
GG NO RE: Good Game, No Redo
GF: Good Fight

H

Hacker: Someone who hacks their disk, the game, the game code files or the console in order to alter the game. generally giving them an unfair advantage. Can also be used for the hacker perk.
Halo Jump: The act of jumping from side to side in an attempt to escape a direct firefight or to throw off an enemy's aim. This tactic comes from Halo, and is less effective in Call of Duty due to lower health and slower movements. Can also mean a hacked lobby with very high jumps. Name originates from the high jumps in the Halo series
Hardscope: A usually derogatory term for the act of watching the same spot with a sniper for extended periods of time.
Hardscoper: A derogatory term for someone who hardscopes.
Headshot: Killing an enemy with a shot to the head. Often seen as a display of precision and skill, although random unintentional headshots are common.
Package Jack: Also known as killing a teammate or a friend when they call a Care Package or another killstreak.
Host: The player running a multiplayer game for other players to join. Applies to console versions of Call of Duty games and to PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
HQ: Headquarters.
HQ Pro: Headquarters Pro.
Holo: Holographic Sight.
HS: May mean headshot or hardscope.
HUD: Head-up display. This is the on-screen overlay that shows information such as remaining ammo, match scores, the cross-hairs and the mini-map.
Haxor/Haxer: Slang term for hacker.

IDC: I don't care
IDK: I don't know
IKE: I know, eh
IKR: I know, right
IMO: In my opinion
IRC: Internet Relay Chat.
IRL: In Real Life.
Intervention Noob: A player who pretends to be a pro at quick scoping but is a beginner, or a derogatory term for a player who excessively uses the Intervention.
Ivan: Slang for Russian military forces.
IW: Infinity Ward.

J

Jap: Derogatory term for the Japanese.
Jerry: A contemporary slang term for the Germans during World War II, mostly used by the British.
Jedi Mode: Using Commando, Lightweight, Marathon, and Tactical Knife together.
Juggernoob: Derogatory term for a player that uses Juggernaut.
Jugs: A term used for the Juggernog perk in Zombies. Also a term for the Juggernaut in Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops.

K

K/D Whore: A player who tried his extreme hardest to get a good Kill/Death ratio every game, so his overall kill/death is very large. Usually used in reference to someone who, in an objective game, chooses to ignore the objective completely and instead focus purely on getting kills.
KD: Kill:death.
KDR: Kill:death ratio.
K.I.A.: Killed in action.
Killjack (Sometimes "Kill-Jack"): A less common term for "Killsteal".
Killsteal: The act of killing someone that someone else was already trying to kill. Also killing a player in Second Chance or Last Stand in Call of Duty 4, 5, 6 and before the patch for 7 is called 'stealing their kill'.
Kiting: The act of making big clumps of zombies and going in a circle, similar to a style of a kite. Synonym for Rape Train.
Knife noob: Derogatory term used against players who use only knifes (usually Tactical Knife) with Marathon, Lightweight, and Commando.
Knife gunner: Same as knife monkey, except used to describe those with Ballistic knives.
Knife runner: Same as knife monkey.
Kraut: Derogatory term for Germans during WWII.

L

Lag: Slows down framerate and movement is choppy, usually due to weak connection.
Lag Switch: Cheat device designed to disrupt internet communication to the game server, causing all players in the match, aside from the user, to suffer high lag. Using is considered a bannable offense by most game companies including Xbox Live and Sonys PSN.
- Some players are mistaken for using a lag switch, but simply have a very poor internet connection.
Lag switcher: A player who attaches a lag switch to their internet in order to enable them to have an advantage over other players.
Lag-x Bro: Term used to describe a freind that is a horrible host. Often used by 10-12 year olds on MW2.
Leet (also written as l33t or 1337): Slang term for "elite", refers to a skilled and/or experienced player. Often used in a derogatory manner to describe players who would constitute the opposite of this term.
Leet speak: Form of internet slang that "leet" players use.
Level: Term used to refer to a mission, or a rank which is earned via XP in Multiplayer mode.
LDK: Means Long Distance Kill. Used when a player gets a kill from a long range with a weapon that is not usually meant for medium to long range use.
Line-sighting: Similar to Drag-Scoping, except with a non-scoped rifle, normally bolt-action.
LMAO: Laughing My Arse Off.
LMFAO: Laughing My F***ing Arse Off.
LMG: Light Machine Gun.
Lobby Squatting: Derogatory term used to describe s player who signs two controllers in on Zombies, but never reacts either up, causing the game to be impossible to start.
LOL: Laugh Out Loud.
LS: Short for Last Stand. Can also stand for "Luck Shot".
Luck Shot: To get a kill in a nearly impossible situation e.g. killing an enemy by no-scoping at long range or getting an across map throwing knife kill.
- Similar to Jesus Shot.

M

Marty: Often used instead of Martyrdom in chat, like in : "No marty here."
Martynoob: A derogatory term for a player who uses Martyrdom.
MaLiCo/MLC: An acronym for a MW2 player who uses Marathon, Lightweight and Commando; combining these three perks is generally frowned upon by the community, especially Commando (perk).
M.I.A.: Missing in action.
Mike(or mic): Short for the headphones commonly used on Xbox and PlayStation versions of Call of Duty to communicate vocally.
Milking: Firing as many shots as possible into a zombie without killing it, blowing it's legs off with a grenade, letting it tear down a barrier, then knifing it to get the most possible points out of one zombie(grenades aren't plentiful and are hard to use without killng the zombie so therefore rarely done).
MLG Tryhard: A player who excessively trys to earn multikills, collateralls, trickshots, etc. in an attempt to seem impressive, or "MLG (Major League Gamer) status".
Mod: Some form of game enhancing device what gives a player an advantage, oftentimes refers specifically to modded controllers. Also a modification of the game code used to alter the game experience, for example by changing weapon skins in single player or making different sounds, guns and other things appear than in the unmodded version.
Modblock: If someone fires a semi-automatic weapon too fast, the game prevents it from firing. This is to disable modded controllers.
Modded controller: A controller with a trigger that is modified to simulate rapid presses when held down, allowing the user to fire semi-automatic weapons as if they were fully automatic.
Model: Short for Model 1887.
MP40Juggernoob: A player who uses the MP40 in combination with Juggernaut.
MP: Multiplayer.
Multiplayer: A gameplay mode that allows for multiple human players to play in the same game.
MVP: Most Valuable Player.
MW2: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
MW2Noob: Derogitory term used by CoD: Black Ops players, to describe a player using tactics similar to those seen in MW2 that were frowned upon. A primary example, include players using Lightweight, Steady Aim, and Marathon Pro perks, to recreate the knifing class build of MaLiCo users from MW2. The term is used often to imply that the "MW2Noob" should go back to playing MW2, so as not to "ruin" Black Ops multiplayer

N

N1: Short for Nice one.
'Nade: Slang or short for grenade/Semtex.
Nade Switching: See Grenade Switching.
NAT: Network Address Translation. An open NAT type will allow for better matchmaking, whereas a strict NAT type will make matchmaking more unsuccessful.
NBK: Natural Born Killer. Also means "Nothing But Kill"
Nerdgasm: Hysterical screaming and gloating brought on by difficult tasks being done. Normally happens to multiple people witnessing the feat.
Nerd Rage: Indignant, hysterical, and incoherent screaming brought on by video game induced frustration.
Nerf: A reduction in the effectiveness of an item as the result of a patch.
New-account: Name given to players who have reached the maximum prestige level, but have created a new account so they can rank up again.
N.O.P: Non-Objective-Player
Noob: General: derogatory term used to express resentment toward another player, which used to mean "new player" but ended up as a cliche.
Noob tube: Derogatory term used to express resentment toward grenade launchers.
Noob Tuber: A derogatory term towards a player who uses Grenade Launchers and Rocket Launchers excessively.
No Scoping: The act of firing the sniper rifle from the hip (i.e. without using the scope).
NP: Short for No problem.
NPC: Non-playable character.
Nuke boosting: The act of killing an accomplice repeatedly to be able to call in a Tactical Nuke. usually done with Tactical Insertion.
NUW: New User Welcomer.
NVA: Short for North Vietnamese Army.

O

OMA: One Man Army.
OMG: Oh my God.
OMFG: Oh my fucking God.
One Shot Kill: killing an enemy with full health with a single sniper rifle bullet.
Oscar Mike: Combination of the NATO phonetic alphabet words for O and M. when used in this combination, stands for "On the Move"
Own: to kill an enemy or enemies or win the match in a spectacular fashion.
OP: Overpowered
Overkill: Using unnecessary much force to kill something. Can also refer to the Overkill perk.

P

Pablo: nickname for Pave Low.
Panic Knife: the act of instinctively knifing and enemy extremely close to the player without thought.
Pawe: Same as Pablo
PC: Personal Computer.
Pistol Switch: a trick shot usually performed by snipers. Performed by switching to your secondary but quickly switching back and firing your sniper rifle as it is being lowered back into position.
Plox: short for please.
Plz: same as plox.
PS2: PlayStation 2.
PS3: PlayStation 3.
P3: Also PlayStation 3.
PSN: PlayStation Network.
PSP: PlayStation Portable.
Pro Pipe: another name for a grenade launcher. Often used by players who use One Man Army extensivly. Also used sarcasticly by players who consider themselves better that anyone using a Grenade Lancher.
Pwn: slang for "own" or to kill or beat in a flashy fashion.
Pwned: Getting "owned."
Pwnage: a flashy, amazing, or extraordinary kill or victory.
Pissy Noob Sprayer: The Famas in Black ops

Q

Quick Scoping : A style of play where a player scopes in, shoots, then scopes out almost instantly with a scoped sniper rifle.
QPR: Quite Pathetic Really.

R

Ragequit: Ending or leaving a play session short because of anger toward the game or current situation. In Call of Duty games prior to Modern Warfare 2, the lack of host migration combined with rage-quitting meant that many games were cut short by the host's departure.
Rape Train: In Zombies, it is an act of making large clumps of zombies in a circle, making the player having lots of points.
RCP: Recent Changes Patroller.
RDS: Red Dot Sight.
Reload cancel: Canceling a reload before the animation is completed to resume firing quicker.(Alternatively, reloading a larger weapon while it still has some rounds in it, such as the M60, and double tapping the toggle weapon button to quickly regain "ability to fire" if someone comes into your sights while reloading)
Respawn: To spawn again after getting killed.
Ricochet Rules: Game mode which, in the event of a player firing at a team-mate, all damage will be returned to the player firing.
RfA: Request for adminship.
RfB: Request for bureaucrat.
RfR: Request for rollback.
ROFL: Rolling On Floor Laughing.
ROFLCOPTER: Rolling On Floor Laughing, Can't Operate 'Til Eyes Refocus
ROFLMAO: Rolling On Floor Laughing My Arse Off.
ROFLMFAO: Rolling On Floor Laughing My F***ing Arse Off.
Run N' Gun: Verb that is used when a player runs around, typically with an SMG, Marathon, Sleight of Hand, and Lightweight. Synonym for 'Rush'.
Rush: Verb referred to a player or a group of players usually using a submachine gun, Marathon and Lightweight to sprint around the map and overwhelm the enemy.

S

S&D: Search & Destroy, a multiplayer game mode.
Screenwatching: Watching another player's screen (In Splitscreen) to know things about them that would otherwise be unknown, most notably that player's location. (also known as Screenhacking, Screencheating, Screenpeeking, and Screenlooking).
- This also applies to people watching a live stream online of players.
Scrub: A noob who uses the best of weapons, but can't do good with any of them. Also refers to a noob that acts as a "try hard".
Search: A common name for Search and Destroy.
Shotgun Rain: Jumping from an elevated position and shooting a player below you with a shotgun.
Skiller: A player who attempts or succeeds in getting flukey, or as the name suggests, skillful kills. Examples are quickscopes or 360 noscopes.
Sky Screamer: Name for the Lunar Lander on the zombie map Ascension.
Slayer: A name for a player who in objective games will only go for kills, usually to get air support. See also; K/D Whore
- This also is used to refer to a player, part of a co-ordinated team who either protects their objectives and simply kills enemies
SoH: Sleight of Hand perk.
SMG: Submachine Gun.
Smoke: Smoke grenade.
Soz: Short for Sorry.
SP: Single Player.
- Stopping Power
Spam: Excessive spraying of a high-capacity weapon; usually an LMG, or using One Man Army and constantly throwing smoke grenades/stuns/flashbangs/frags/Semtex.
Spawn camp: To camp at a spawing point in hopes of getting easy kills.
- Also applies to players hiding in their spawn point - especially in Search and Destroy.
Spawnkill: To kill a player as they spawn or immediatly spawned, often frowned upon.
Spawn point: Places were players spawn at the start of the match or respawn after dying.
Spawn Sniping: Usually found on the map Highrise in MW2 when people snipe the other team's spawn at the beginning.
Spawn Rape: A single match in which one team repeatedly kills the enemy team at their spawn, resulting in single players having very high kill/death ratios and vice versa for the other team. This is one of the most infamous tactics in Call of Duty, usually occurring in Demolition where teams have a small area to spawn in.
Spawn Trapping: A tactic used in which an enemy pins somebody at a spawn point so the player will respawn again at the same area and get killed.
Spawn tubing: When players start a match (or a round in SnD) by instantly shooting their grenade launchers up in the sky.
Spray n' Pray: Tactic used in which a player uses a weapon with a high-rate of fire and fires only from the hip.
S.S.D.D.: Same Sh*t Different Day.
Steam: Online distribution system and community. Keeps track of games played and friend list. Required to play the PC versions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops.
STFU: Shut the f*** up.
Stun: Stun grenade.
Subtle: Knife kill.
Supercommando: In Modern Warfare 2. An unusually long range melee attack, usually in online play.
Switch-cancel: Similar to reload-cancel, except to press the weapon-swap button twice (when the weapon the player wants to switch to appears) to cut a weapon's switching animation to zlich.
- Useful when picking up a weapon off the ground (by pressing the weapon swap button twice when the weapon is off the ground).
- Can also be used when equipping certain weapons for the first time.
- Also useful when a player has to switch between an assault rifle with no ammo, to a sub-machine gun with a full magazine when suprised by an enemy.

TacDel:The act of waiting in front of a tactical insertion or planting a claymore in front of it for a kill.
Tac Insert: Short for Tactical Insertion

Tac Noob: A player who uses the tactical insertion excessively.
Tactical Button Layout: Crouch and Melee buttons are switched. Common layout amongst people who Dropshot.
Taliban Dive: In Zombies, a term used to refer to the action in which a player dives and lands on his stomach while using the "Flopper" perk, generating an explosion and killing or injuring the zombies within the blast's radius. Also called "flopping."
"Tango Sucka": An expression used by Opfor players after they kill an opposing player.
TDM: Team Deathmatch.
TDMEx: Team Deathmatch Express.
Teabag: When a player positions himself over top of a victim's body and repeatedly crouches and stands up as a of sign of humiliation. This supposedly simulates the action of placing one's scrotum on the other's face or mouth, mimicking the sexual act.
Team: Team Deathmatch.
TeamEx: Team Deathmatch Express.
Teamkill: Killing someone on the same team.
Three-Sixty: The act of jumping off a ledge, building, etc. and turning at the same time, finally coming to a 360-degree angle, then shooting/killing an enemy. This maneuver is used to flaunt a game-winning kill or to show off one's skill.
Thumper Dumper: Derogatory term for a player who excessively uses the Thumper, similar to the term "Noob Tuber".
Thumper Humper: Another derogatory term for a player who excessively uses the Thumper.
Thumping : a term for excessively using a Thumper,similar to Noob Tubing
TI: Tactical Insertion.

Toma: Short for tomahawk or getting a tomahawk kill.

Track Scoper : a player who repeatedly follows an opposing player and kills them from behind.
Trigger fingering: The act of rapidly tapping the fire button to achieve a maximum fire rate. Usually used on semi-automatic weapons.
Troll: A person who attempts to provoke a negative emotional response through posting or saying something inflammatory, profane, or just plain offensive. The motivation behind a troll is usually low self-esteem, or lack of a social life.
Tryhard: One who excessively uses a weapon or excessively does one thing that could be considered noobish.
- Doesn't necessarily mean doing one thing over and over, more to the point of using whatever guns / perk combos or camping spots to come out on top on points or kills. AKA, someone who isn't here for the fun of the game, but more commonly just to win & boast about one thing or another.
Turtling: The act of putting a Riot Shield on your back and going prone.
- More commonly known as the majority of the team staying back at "base/default spawn point" usually in CTF game types. (Capture one flag, then "turtle" to make sure they don't catch up) Generally frowned upon because of the ease of sitting in a corner.
Twitchking: A player who gains the majority of their kills through kneejerk reaction shooting. See also: Skiller

UMP Tryhard: A derogatory term towards a player who excessively uses the UMP45.
UMP Noob: Same as above.
UotM: User of the Month.

Wall Bang: The act of getting a bullet penetration kill.
Wall Hack: A program used by hackers to see through walls, usually used for getting FMJ kills.

W.I.A.: Wounded in action.
WW: Call of Duty: World at War.
WaW: Call of Duty: World at War.
Wonder Waffle: A slang term for the Wunderwaffe DG-2. Orginates from the Nazi Zombie game mode character Tank Dempsey calling the weapon a "Wonder Waffle", as well the WaW achievement/trophy "Acquire Waffle Weapons"
WTF: What the f***.
WTFS: What the f***ing sh*t!?(If someone gets an amazing kill)
Wookiee: A derogatory term for a player whose character model is wearing a ghillie suit
Wookiee Ambush: An attack involving a player using a ghillie suit moving from prone to sprinting, in an attempt to surprise the enemy and kill them.

X360: Xbox 360.
XB: Xbox. Often called the Original Xbox or the Xbox one.
Xbox 360: The second generation of Microsoft's gaming console, the Xbox.
XBL: Xbox Live, a multiplayer network for the Xbox 360 system.
XP: Experience points, points that, when enough are gained, levels up the players rank therefore unlocking more weapons, equipment etc..

YW: Short for You're welcome.
YAFI: You're a f***ing idiot.
YAG: You ain't Grizz! Usually used when someone brags or celebrates about a trickshot with a sniper.
YFB: You f***ing bastard.

Z

Zeus Grenade: A grenade that is tossed randomly into the sky, much like Zeus throwing a thunderbolt. Commonly found in CoD4 because of the fragmentation grenade's large kill radius.
ZH: Zero Hour(s)
Zone/Zoning: Covering one particular area of the map in multiplayer, but continuously moving around in that area so that it does not turn into camping. Common in objective-based game modes such as Domination. Often considered camping if the area is too small, or if done in a non-objective gametype.
