I nominate Shi no Numa for our featured article because that article has tons of pictures, info, and other things on our new favorite map. Also, the other Zombie maps have been featured, so this one deserves some spotlight too. Joem25 iTalk iWork 21:30, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Support - Shi No Numa Rules. Signatures/Tommygungangster This person has no signature, he didn't even bother to change support to 4. besides, he does not have 50 mainspace edits. If it is possible, he should be banned for not reading the guidelines of voting, having a stupid signature (a picture of a M16 firing), and simply wasting other people's time. Callofduty4 | What ya after? 16:06, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Neutral - Remove the Popular culture section as it is basically trivia and the rest has no proof. If this is done I will change my vote to support.
Neutral' - I would be delighted to change to support if the 'Parts of Nazi Zombies story' were removed and put on the Zombies page. Can I do that? I believe it belongs there more than Shi No Numa.
- Changed to Oppose. I really can't see this as a featured article. At the moment it is one big mess of text. It has hardly any images. There are many errors in the text. This, In my opinion, does not deserve featured article status. It need so much work.
Oppose - It may have the content needed for it to be featured, but the delivery is all wrong. In its current state, it's not featured article quality. Just to name some of the things wrong, the references section has only one line which is far from the desired format for a reference, the ordering of the sections is wrong, many things in the trivia section are either not trivia in the first place or are unnotable and generally useless, and things that aren't supposed to be capitalized are capitalized.
Oppose - Like previous reasons, it's too unorganized to be a featured article. Give it more time and perhaps it'll be "cleaner." Then it will be a great candidate. CirChris -Here to help! 22:47, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
Support - I've noticed the article has been worked on a little, it should be a lot better by the end of this month to be featured. I counted 12 pictures and 3 videos on the page which is great. The only problem I have with it is I agree with with Sgt. Chiafriend that the ordering of the sections is wrong. Other than that there is a lot of information on the page. Support - I believe this article has a large sum of use to many players and readers, giving interesting and also factual information. Even if this is not enough, I know this page will develop even further as more players edit it and as more Call of Duty games are released. It has a good amount of pictures and (compared to a few other Call Of Duty map pages) is a very good map page. It has its own chance to shine now, above the rest. 10:11, 15 July 2009 -Bignicky9. -I'm sorry, but I still have a few problems. I nominate Russia for featured article, as it is very long, extremely informative, and unfortunately lacking on the CoD side, however, I PROMISE to work on that part. I will start right now, actually.
Neutral - Until the necessary changes are made.--Bigm2793 23:02, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Oppose - I have to agree. The far majority of the article is copied from Wikipedia, and only small bits of the copied areas are relevant to the game. Featuring someone elses work as it being our own article is a no-no. Sgt. ChiafriendRifleman 19:57, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, it's not a big deal, wikipedia's content can be used by anyone as long as wikipedia is credited, which it is in this case.--Bigm2793 01:57, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Oppose - As said before, the vast majority of the text is from Wikipedia. While there isn't anything wrong with that, it's quite simply not original. We'd be better off featuring something else that would have more to do with the series. Bovell Talk | Contrib. 00:24, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Strong Support - Great article, lots of info, and it's a tradition. IW went out of their way to include it in MP just so it could have the longest track record of any of the weapons (sans 1911), why not give it some respect here? To begin, the article has 7 pictures that when enlarged, you can clearly see the fine detail of the gun. Second of all, the article has a decent opening paragraph telling us what games we can find the weapon in, and whether or not it can have an attachment in a particular game. Third of all, We have a good history section on it telling us who used the gun during WW2, how it was used, and how people saw it as a fine, powerful weapon. Moreover, we have good information on its appearances in Call of Duty, UO and Call of Duty 3, telling us anywhere from what levels we can find it in too it's fire mode (semi etc). Furthermore, we have a lot of information on its appearance in Call of Duty 5 which most people will be going to read about. We have a good paragraph on its appearance in single player and a great useful paragraph for multiplayer telling us how to use the weapon effectively and what perks go best with it.
Support This is actually a great article. I will clean it up as much as I can. I will support for the time being, at least until a new nomination is made.

Oppose - The article still needs a lot of work. An article isn't featured just because it's long, has many images, or is, overall, helpful. An article is featured if it shows an example of our best editing. This article does not. Just skimming through it, I saw many points WHERE PEOPLE USED CAPS LOCK, and EVEN NEEDLESSLY BOLDED WHOLE SEGMENTS. Using CAPS LOCK, bold font, or even BOTH AT ONCE implies rage, does it not? Sgt. Support - This would be a great article to feature. This article has a good deal of history, which talks about the Red Army's past , It's officers, and has loads or photos of the various soldiers of the Army. I nominate this page upon what BiGf00t said, the fact that it is a really good article anyway, and also that it seems that Soap will be a main character in MW2. I think that it would be really interesting to have a former playable character and current NPC. I think it would be really cool to watch the page evolve and grow as the game is released and played (as lots of new stuff will be added).
Support as nominator. Attack Rhino 01:09, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Oppose I think this page should be featured after Modern Warfare 2 comes out because a lot more information will be added to it. Also... you spelled support wrong.--Poketape 02:48, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

- Comment I think that because MW2 is going to be released during November, a lot of information will be added to Soap's page. Because of this, an incomplete form of the page would be featured for a third of the month while the other two thirds of the month would include a lot of changes to the page. The page might change a lot after MW2 comes out and therefore shouldn't be featured yet.--Poketape 03:37, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

Support Thanks Attack Rhino. I think this would be a great article because its a change from CoD WaW and it features quite a bit about the new modern warfare coming out in november. BiGf00t 16:00, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Neutral While it is a good article with pictures and good detail, I think we can make it a lot better come November/December after the game is released. E.TALE Barracks Headquarters16:31, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Neutral - It's a great article, but you see, when an article is featured, it is protected so we can't edit it. So if we made it a featured article, we wouldn't be able to edit it when the game comes out, which is a massive setback. Until we can get this article to be only semi-protected, I will remain Neutral.
Consider that for one.18:27, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
- Comment - An article is protected from edits by unregistered users when it is featured, as it then becomes a high traffic page. I'm unsure of any instance in which it has been put under complete protection, as that would defeat the purpose of the article being featured. Bovell Talk | Contrib. 18:36, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
- Comment Actually, the FA has been protected to be sysop-edits-only. I remember because last month I had to pester Darkman once to get a mistake fixed on the STG-44 article WouldYouKindly 18:44, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Neutral While it's a good article and it makes sense to have it for November since that's when MW2's coming out, we'd have to find a way to get all the new stuff edited in without exposing it to vandals, incorrect edits, and the like. WouldYouKindly 18:44, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
- Comment Yeah, I was just thinking that. There needs to be a way to keep it safe from being over vandalised, while still being able to be featured. By the way, I was not necessarily thinking of this article being featured, I was just thinking of a good way to link MW to MW2. Attack Rhino 22:08, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Comment - Edward Richtofen is only protected against unregistered users. I actually would like to bring this up if it has changed since because it seems entirely counterproductive to say "Oh look here! This article is special! Too bad you can't edit it to make it even better." Bovell Talk | Contrib. 22:25, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
- Comment - Hmmm, that is true, and as there will be so much infomation being fed onto these pages in the hours and days of MW2 being released, it would not make much sense. II think it would be good to have at least some level of protection, as otherwise the page would be swamped in spam and being constantly vandalised. I think that if the Talk page is used for unregistered to give info or whatever it would then still be (somewhat) accessable and not keep out the registered users, like us. Attack Rhino 22:30, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Comment - The MacTavish article has quite a lot of information about him from both COD4 and MW2, so really the information still needed isnt the most important as we have that already. So unregistered users should be blocked because of vandalism but registered users will need to access it because of the need to add new info. BiGf00t 16:05, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
Oppose - I think we should wait for Modern Warfare 2 to be released, then there will be alot of new info and story on the page --Cpt Jack House 22:44, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
Support - I think since next month is the release of Modern Warfare 2, this article is the best to be featured yet because then, tons of info will be added. - ApOChy86 14:39, October 21, 2009
Support - You should feature this article, he would have a good article. It is a pretty good article. The potrait in top looks good and I can't wait for the game to come out.—Unsigned comment was added by Badboy24752Sorry mate, you need 50 mainspace edits to vote. --CallofDuty4 09:24, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
Comment Has anyone thought up any other decent ideas for features? I am saying this, as I think there is no clear sway for any particular article, and a choice will need to be made in seven days. Maybe this should be put on the community announcement. What does everyone else think? Attack Rhino 06:45, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
Oppose - Great article, but after MW2 comes out, some new info will have to be added. I don't want to type it all again, so see my vote under the M16A4 section of this page for an explanation of why articles that have to do with MW2 shouldn't be featured. -- Ari "Akyoyo" MacIsaac · Talk 22:38, October 25, 2009 (UTC)

Oppose - I think this article will be edited a lot once CoD 6 comes out. I would nominate it in December or January.--Poketape 01:49, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
Neutral leaning to oppose It is not a bad article, pretty good actually. a) I do not think it is the type of article that should be featured b) I think a weapons article should be featured right now. Attack Rhino 06:32, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

- Question I am curious as to why yo support it CoD 4, it is not an amazing page in my opinion. Attack Rhino 21:00, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
Oppose - Think about it. Modern Warfare 2 comes out. Some new things may need to be added to the page because of it. If it was featured in November, then they would have to put a "Sys-Op only" protection level on it. Then we'd have to edit by proxy, and clutter up the talk page by asking them to make so-and-so meaningless edits and some big ones, when they might not even be on at the moment to do them. In short, no article that relates to Modern Warfare 2 should be featured next month. -- Ari "Akyoyo" MacIsaac · Talk 22:34, October 25, 2009 (UTC)
it's a great article. it has some nice CoD pics and the logo at the top really makes the page nice.

Support - yeah, this is a good article, it has good images and a lot of good information, and it gives content from a lot of call of duty games and would be great to feature. -- BiGf00t Talk Contrib. Edits
Support - It's a great article. But what will really make this stand out is the fact that November 10th is the birthday of the USMC, which for that reason alone makes the article deserving of being the new FA WouldYouKindly 18:15, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
Changed to Neutral - Akyoyo is right, anything that relates with MW2 should not be featured in November. Although, I think this article will win since its got great support E.TALE Barracks Headquarters01:57, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
