I would like to nominate the FAL for the featured article this month because it is a very neatly written article, and I have been working very hard to overhaul it these last few weeks and I think it is extremely nicely proportioned article, the images are jut about the same size, it informs the reader thoroughly about the glitches about attachemts, ect. and I just think the article is beautiful.

I would also like to thank SiPlus for helping me resize the images to make them exactly the same size. Thanks dude, you rock.

I believe this article is among the most well-written on the wiki; it is also an iconic weapon featured in MW2. There are no policy errors and the article also fits all the categories for featured. Additionally, we've never had a handgun as a featured article, though this reason is not of large importance.

Irrelevant points. CoD3 was generally considered to be one of the worst CoD games, yet we have good articles from that game. Should we not feature them because the game isn't liked much? If we go by Bibliomaniac's point about looking at the article, then Cpt. Dragunov's point is irrelevant.

The featured article is smack bang in the middle of the main page, and since about 90% of our traffic come here for information about the most recent games, it's common sense to feature an article from that game. CoD1 and UO have never been appreciated here as much as the CoD4 games onwards, due to the fact more than half of the community have never played them (I myself have, that shows I'm not being biased towards the newer generation of games because I haven't played the older ones and whatnot). Also, this wiki was made in the months before CoD4 came out. I'm pretty sure the main focus from then onwards was on the newer games.      22:56, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

I thought the point of this wiki was to cover the Call of Duty series. The whole point was for fans to read about the games that they love. This wiki's creation date has nothing to do with covering newer games. Every single game deserves recognition. User: Cpt. Dragunov

Nova 6 is the main objective for Call of Duty:Black Ops. It almost destroys the United States. personally, I find it very interesting and it features the first chemical warfare ever in the Call of Duty series.

It's been a while since we featured an actual campaign level (last was July 2009), so I figured that I would nominate the very first level in the entire series. Oppose — For now, it's noncomprehensive and skewed towards the more recent games. In addition, the statement "There are a total of 55 Soviet/Russian characters in the Call of Duty series" needs verification. Does it mean 55 characters with fixed names or playable characters? This does not account for the hundreds of randomly generated soldiers in the series as well. In additions, the weapon section is ambiguous. Does it mean weapons used by the Soviets, or weapons made by the Soviets? If the former, the list is fairly arbitrary, and if the latter, it's full of incorrect information. Normandy landings

As of yet we have not had a featured article on a historical event, much less an actual guideline on how to write historical articles. I organized a complete rewrite of the article on the Normandy landings to reflect a style which I hope is sensible and comprehensive. It certainly is a famous, monumental battle, featured in four different games and eleven missions in the series. For these reasons, I nominate this article for featured status.

Some parts, in particular the Invasion of Pointe du Hoc, have some information that would probably be a bit confusing to newer fans of the series (myself not included). Pack-a-Punch Machine

It would be great to put this as it is unique and most of it is cleaned and formal (not mess up like some other post). It has organized videos, pictures, and even most of the segments on this article is not bad (thanks to most of us editors.) It was useful for help in Der Riese, Five, and in Kino to kill enemies 20+ and most of us ARE thankful since it helps us so much with our Ultimate Weapons (the wonder weapons). So it would be good to put this in the FRA February.

While we usually feature weapons, I don't believe we have ever featured a secondary weapon. Not only would this be the first featured secondary, but it is both incredibly recurring throughout the series, tied only with the STG-44 for most featured. That's because the statistics remain largely the same between games. However, I have added information about other types of knives in the article, as well as pictures of each. The information that needs to be repeated is repeated for the sake of completeness, but there is other information there. Someone did a copy-paste move of the content originally on Nova-6, and as a result the early contribution history of the page is lost and beyond repair. The only IRL info I can find in that is about the atomic number, and the periodic table provided does show that it has a higher atomic mass than Argon, which would be the heaviest gas in the air. April 2011

Call of Duty Soundtrack

One of the things this wiki is severely lacking is in the area of music. As I hope I show in this article, there's a great deal of information about the music of a game, both in real life and in game. I managed to hunt down some excellent interviews talking about the making of the soundtrack, which was awesome. Each track in the soundtrack has a Youtube clip allowing users to listen to the music, as well as a music outline explaining each track's instrumentation, themes, and in-game context. All these things add up, I think, to an outstanding article about some pretty outstanding music.
