Request for Bureaucrat: KATANAGOD |

Hi all, I'd like to nominate KATANAGOD for the position of bureaucrat. While Kat's activity within the mainspace has not been as active as of late, he has still consistently and professionally given his opinion on matters of discussion at the War Room, and his edits have always been of a high standard regardless. He is always adamant to help out this site and has kept up this willingness to help ever since he joined 2 1/2 years ago. Kat may have some instances of overly-rash decision making but it is rare that this happens. Still he has been responsible about this and has been working to make improvements and he has gotten better - even taking some time away from here so he could sort it out. I fully believe that he will be his usual chilled self consistently as a bureaucrat.
I believe a couple of extra bureaucrats would be useful in pushing this wiki forward ready for the next game, which we should be hearing about soon. Kat's prowess at talking things over and making sure stuff gets sorted out shows that he is more than capable of being in this position. At the moment, Sam and I are the only two active bureaucrats and we would appreciate a little more backup, and Kat and his current running mate MLG are more than fit for it.
Kat is easily contactable via Skype and he is often on chat and IRC as well, which should aide him in this position further. To conclude, Kat's consistent willingness to help out combined with his skill in leadership and driving discussion and also his fine ability as an editor means he would do well as a bureaucrat. I hope you can agree with me.

Strong Support — At first, I was a little apprehensive, as Kat and I have very recently discussed his occasional irrationality. However, to say he hasn't been working to improve that behavior, as Cod4 points out, would simply be wrong, and it was so rare it could almost be seen as a non-issue. Plus, Kat has been heavily dedicated to improving the wiki ever since he joined and to say he wouldn't benefit from these tools would just be lying. Strong Support — What can I say? I supported Kat's RfA a couple years back, and have I regretted it? Not at all. He does his job extremely well. Hard worker, and loves what he does. I can tell. As long as I've known Kat, he's only been a great help, whether it be blogs, keeping the wiki running, or just plain fixing up of articles. I'm sure he could do great things as a bureaucrat. Neutral leaning towards Support — While I see Kat as an excellent editor, I'm a bit loath to give my full support considering he's shown to be relatively hostile in some situations, such as here: starting with a sarcastic and "kthxbai" attitude incited a page-long discussion that could've been avoided with a more proper and mature answer considering it was just a misunderstanding in the first place. However, beyond these mishaps I believe he would do a good job as a bureaucrat. Slightly off-topic, I find it funny how Kat and I became admins within eight days of each other and now these two RfBs are pretty simultaneous. -- laagone (talk) 12:46, April 16, 2014 (UTC)
- That situation itself was sort of silly in retrospect. The reason I was being defensive is because the whole thing was gigantic misunderstanding in the first place, in which the blame lies directly on my shoulders. Me and Sam have come to terms and the situation itself is what led me to take a short break from the Wiki. I can see why there would be some worry about my behaviour, but generally i don't think the circumstances to that debacle will ever rear its head again. KλT 14:30, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

Closed - Passed - It's been just about a week and a half, and there is nothing here but support. I see no real reason why this can't be closed now as it's clearly a pass.
