Please note that you must have 50 main space edits to vote. Ineligible votes will be struck through and ignored.
To see how many mainspace edits you have, see this page.

Give a good reason and request for adminship in the bottom subsection if you wish to become an administrator, or bureaucrat.

Requirements for adminship

To qualify to be an administrator, you must meet a set of requirements.

You must

  • Have been here for at least a month.
  • Have edited at least a few hundred times.
  • Be civil.
  • Have no record of serious offenses (E.g. vandalism, personal attacks).
  • Be known and trusted by others.

Regulations for voting

  • Keep your cool. RfAs have been known to host some nasty flame wars. If another user disagrees with you and gives you trouble, just keep your cool and don't fight back. That may sound "cowardly", but if you fight back, you could receive a block, and/or make the flame war escalate.
  • New users can't vote. Sorry, but that's the way it is. Someone can easily make a bunch of dummy accounts, all vote for their friend to be an admin, and unfairly turn the tide of the vote. For this reason, new users cannot vote for the possibility of being a sockpuppet. Anyone trying to use sockpuppets will be blocked.
  • Be descriptive. Though you don't have to, it's a lot easier for a discussion if you say why you're voting what you're voting. If you just say "Support - --Example 06:24, 20 April 2008 (UTC)", you're not really saying why the candidate should be an admin, and your vote may be excluded and strikethroughed. It's not just for supports, but for all votes.

Glossary of vote titles

Not just the standard "Support" and "Oppose"s are used in RfAs. This subsections lists mosts vote types.

  • Support - A positive vote.
    • Strong Support - A very positive vote.
    • Weak Support - A positive vote, but the voter is bound to change their vote.
  • Neutral - A vote saying that the voter is unsure about the nominee/between supporting and opposing.
    • Neutral leaning towards Support - A neutral vote, but closer to support than oppose.
    • Neutral leaning towards Oppose - A neutral vote, but closer to oppose than support.
  • Oppose - A negative vote.
  • Pending - Vote not yet decided.
  • Comment - A comment.
  • Not yet - A negative vote saying that the nominee has not been around long enough, but would be admin material if they had been around for a longer time.
  • Question - A sort of comment that asks a question. (Ex. What would you do with your tools)

Requests

If you feel you are up to the job, make a subsection for your request, and the community will discuss it.

Neutral - I'm rather neutral. While I do support Saint, I'm not entirely sure if we're ready for another admin or not. (yes I realize this is ironic from a guy with over 300 mainspace edits, but whatever) Cpl. Wilding 01:45, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Support - He's mature, keeps his cool, always helps out, both the quality and quantity of his edits are impressive, and he does his fair share of fighting vandalism. He would only use his tools when needed, for the best. --  Ari "Akyoyo" MacIsaac · Talk  18:11, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Oppose - jesus christ, again?....--Bigm2793 18:36, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

Strong Oppose - You really should wait a little longer. Also, you've already said you're an admin on that other wiki, but you know what? That doesn't mean you automatically become an admin on every other wiki you join. Could you also have spell checked before you submitted your request? I see three typos in it. And another thing, why did you put your request in the middle of the others instead of at the bottom? Are you trying to hide it because people will assume nobody would put a request in the middle or something?--Poketape 20:52, November 8, 2009 (UTC)

Comment Umm Poketape, I think the fact that he's admin on another wiki is just to show he can use admin tools, not as a passport to everything...Sergeant Sgt. Demon Magnetism T C E
Comment I interpreted it differently, but that could be what he means too. I dunno, I'm kind of annoyed with the constant RFAs from this user. It just doesn't seem like there's been any big change in the user since last time other than the edit count.--Poketape 04:48, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Neutral, leaning toward oppose - I'm not sure, your desire for adminship's a little unhealthy...Demon Magnetism 21:14, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Change to oppose - Per Akyoyo. Sergeant Sgt. Demon Magnetism T C E

Support - You have no way of politely dealing with other users, you call a magazine a clip, and you don't have the common sense to fall back when you've lost (the allusion: THIS RFA.). Three things that make you unfit for being an admin. You also strike me as the kind of user who just asks for Adminship because he thinks he deserves it. You don't deserve to be admin, it's just an extra set of tools to help you improve this wiki more efficiently when you feel you need to take matters into your own hands. Not, "Oh, I've been around long enough, I know what I'm doing, I'm cool around here...this qualifies me for adminship." Think these things through, Cod1. --  Ari "Akyoyo" MacIsaac · Talk  06:16, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

Comment Shouldn't this say Oppose? I'm actually confused. You ut Support but you added an oppose vote to the count and your comments make it seem like you oppose.--Poketape 03:46, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
I messaged him on his talk, he knows...Demon Magnetism talk 21:58, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
What I meant to say was, Strong Oppose. Yeah, how I ended up putting that there is beyond even me...And, also: "Please support me...my edit count is x and growing!..." two main faults I find very (I don't really know how to say this diplomatically) stupid to put in your RfA. But, that could just be me. Also, Poketape's right, you don't really have any example of your typing that isn't loaded with spelling, and grammar mistakes (and, y'know, ones related to the two). --  Ari "Akyoyo" MacIsaac · Talk  05:12, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

PhantBat

Hey guys ordinarily I've thought little about becoming an admin, until recently with the spike in vandalism. I've tried to revert as much of the damage as I can find, and would like to help further. I've always been nice to my fellow editors, and hope to continue to improve this wiki. PhantBat 12:58, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Not yet - I think for now you should just get rollback, and then after you've spent more time here, you should try again. --  Ari "Akyoyo" MacIsaac · Talk  18:12, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Not yet Per Akyoyo. Great contributor who has potential, but you might want to spend more time here. Although you should definitely get rollback, we're going to need all the help we can get once MW2 comes out next week. WouldYouKindly 20:41, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Comment I just want to say that "Not yet" means a negative vote, which means you should add a vote to the negative slot.--Poketape 04:27, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

Oppose - I've hardly seen you do anything around here.--Bigm2793 21:40, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Oppose - Good user, but simply not admin material. Maybe after some time at it this will become a reality. Creepydude Sniper Say Some'at Here! 23:44, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Not yet - user has some pretty good contributions, but not admin material yet.  FANMADE_Animated_Derpy_Hooves_desktop_ponies_sprite.gif Sig1.png Sig2.png 13:34, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

Not atm - This guy's a damn decent editor, but adminship's a little early is it not? (ironic coming from a guy with 250 edits) Demon Magnetism :D (talk to me) 16:52, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

Comment I'm guessing this one's closed.

Imrlybord7 (2)

I hereby nominate Imrlybord for adminship. He has improved his people skills greatly since his other RFA. I think he should be made an admin for MW2, because he is a by far the greatest help with MW2 stuff, and I think he deserves being an admin.

Support - As nominator  FANMADE_Animated_Derpy_Hooves_desktop_ponies_sprite.gif Sig1.png Sig2.png 13:34, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

Question - To get his tools, is it because he deserves it? Or because he needs better vandalism-fighting tools? What I mean is, he shouldn't just get them solely because he's "cool". Give them to someone who just needs a little extra ability to deal with those jokers. --  Ari "Akyoyo" MacIsaac · Talk  15:08, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

Reply - Who said Imrlybord was "cool". Imrlybord needs these tools if he is to help as much as he has said and been doing with MW2.  FANMADE_Animated_Derpy_Hooves_desktop_ponies_sprite.gif Sig1.png Sig2.png 18:22, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

Strong oppose - Not only is this user crass, snarky, and narcissistic, but with an idea such as semi-protecting all MW2 pages, I think that having this user as an admin could actually be dangerous to the wiki. Besides that, he recently failed an RFA. Please do not abuse the RFA by posting a nomination so soon after a failed one. A policy is en route to stop actions such as this. A valued editor maybe, but an admin, no. Creepydude Sniper Say Some'at Here! 18:45, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

Closed Heard enough.  FANMADE_Animated_Derpy_Hooves_desktop_ponies_sprite.gif Sig1.png Sig2.png 21:15, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

Attack Rhino

This is NOT an RFA.

I am not requesting to become an admin (well at least not for a while yet). I am just using this page to gauge what the community thinks of me, what I need to work on, and if I am lucky enough, what I am doing right. All feedback welcome, any extremely negative feedback is welcome, only if is constuctive criticism. I repeat this, I know I do not meet the requirement of edits; I know I do not have nearly enough, so this is NOT an RFA. Attack Rhino 05:30, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

My user page, talk page and my contributions.

Please give feedback below:

So wait, your not posting an RFA, but you did it in the RFA page? Fail. --Slowrider7 12:25, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah I know, but I thought this was the best way to gauge what the community thinks of me. Attack Rhino 21:25, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

This would be more suited to the War Room perhaps? Idk. However, looking down your contribs you've done some good stuff, better than my contribs, mine are mostly tidy-up. You're quite polite and mature as well, and I reckon you'd make future admin material...Sergeant Sgt. Demon Magnetism T C E

This is a fine place for this. The war room is for community and wiki-related discussions. Looking at your contributions, you should make fine admin material in the future. Not now, because we just appointed 2 new admins, but some day.  FANMADE_Animated_Derpy_Hooves_desktop_ponies_sprite.gif Sig1.png Sig2.png 21:46, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, yeah. I was not thinking yet. At least for another few months or even longer (if need be) for the experience. Just wanting to see what you guys thought. Attack Rhino 04:24, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

I think we need something that lies between War Room and RFA...somewhere where all of us could get this sort of constructive criticism. Demon Magnetism talk 21:53, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

Hmmm, I know what you mean. As this is not an RFA and as CoD4 said, neither is the War Room the place for it either. I was thinking of just having in on the talk page, but I thought that would not do either. Thanks, guys. Attack Rhino 04:24, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

I like you a lot, A.R. You're mature, friendly, and an overall good guy. You also make great edits. You're definitely the kind of guy who could make admin. SaintofLosAngelesXD(M) 04:33, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

If you stay the course and maintain your level of respect and maturity and such, as well as the quality of your edits, you'll definitely have my full support when you run for admin. Maybe I'll even start it myself if you do an extra-exceptional job, who knows :) . I pretty much could say the same as Saint, too. Just one thing (here's my criticism, I guess): anti-vandal work. You don't just deserve to be an admin, you become one because you're a wonderful editor who could greatly improve this wiki by fighting vandalism, or otherwise having access to other admin tools (site design, undeleting pages, etc.). So, you should work on an area (almost always anti-vandalism) that you'd need to expect from an admin. Ask for rollback, and start fixing up vandalism when you're on. Work on new site baners or backgrounds or a front page or displays. Be a pro at what you'd need those tools for, and you're a shoe-in. --  Ari "Akyoyo" MacIsaac · Talk  05:19, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

Okay, thanks guys. I think I know where I stand, and what I need to work on to become a better user and contributor here. Attack Rhino 23:02, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Maj.Gage

I nominate myself for administrator. I have been on this wiki for a good while and I have over 1500 edits. I try to make this wiki better and better every time I log on and will continue to do that until my time on this wiki is over. Not to be arrogant (I hate sounding so), but I think I am logical and up to the challenge of being an admin. I guess I can consider myself to be well-known around the wiki. I hope you vote for me for administrator.
