One time I was in terminal and I walked into that little room near the plane took out my SPAS-12 and popped a shell in his head.

I traded the RPK for the SPAS-12 in Zombies one time.

  • Primary: Mini-Uzi w/ Akimbo - Just in case your SPAS runs out of ammo, or if there are multiple enemies in one room.
  • Secondary: SPAS-12 with Grip
  • Equipment: C4 - See below
  • Special Grenade: Smoke - This is a totally different tactic, but you can smoke out a room, and throw C4 in, and just detonate it. Perfect for clearing any small space.
  • Perk 1: Marathon - Close range classes usually need this to get up close
  • Perk 2: Hardline or Stopping Power - They're both purely for convenience. Personal preference.
  • Perk 3: Steady Aim - Same as Darkman

Calvin A

  • Primary: Roit Shield (This keeps people from shooting me in the back)
  • Secondary: SPAS-12
  • Equipment: Tactical Insertion - (I use this class mainly for Capture the Flag so if I die, I can spawn near my Flag)

  • Perk 1: Marathon - It comes in handy when I am running with the flag
  • Perk 2: Cold Blooded - Keeps people from seeing me on a thermal display
  • Perk 3: Jammer - So you cant see me to call in a bombing run on me
  • (help me plz...cant get it to work right...sorry Calvin A)

Primary: FAL with Holographic Sight, just in case there's someone I cant get to, like in a window or something, it's good to have a good long range weapon that isn't affected by stopping power as a backup

Secondary: SPAS-12 obviously
Equipment: Semtex
Special Grenade: Flashbang
Perk 1: Marathon
Perk 2: Lightweight
Perk 3: Steady Aim

I based this kit off of Darkman's SPAS runner kit, but I didn't really care for how much the riot shield slows you down, even when it's on your back, so its out with the shield, in with the FAL.

Primary: UMP45 with Red Dot Sight

Primary: ACR w/ Holographic Sight
Secondary: SPAS-12 with FMJ/Red Dot Sight

Perk 1: Sleight of Hand Pro - Pumps faster and ADS speed is insane
Perk 2: Lightweight - Mobility
Perk 3: Steady Aim - Like Dark said, a tighter spread makes the SPAS-12 more useful at medium range.

I wouldn't suggest extended sprinting with this one, rather keep walking and be aware of your surroundings. When you do come across a sprinter, your ADS will be so fast that you'd probably kill the guy before he even stops to aim. The ACR is great backup for longer ranges. This can dominate in Favela, especially in the middle area.

Stories Involving the SPAS-12

I was playing a game of Search and Destroy with a couple of new friends on Terminal. It was down to a 4v2 situation, with me and my friend being on the 2 person side. We were camping in the plane, near the bomb site. He went to plant a claymore at the front entrance. He pokes out and he yells to me "Four enemies!" before being killed. I figure, what the hell, I'm gonna die anyways, so I take out my SPAS-12 with FMJ and grip, run to where they can just barely not see me, turned to face where they would be, get out of cover, and fired off a bullet. All of a sudden, it said round over. I was thinking "What the hell happened?" When the game winning kill came on, it showed that at the moment I popped out and shot, all four of them were very close and charging at me and that somehow my SPAS had managed to hit them all enough to kill them. Me and a bunch of other people were saying something like "That was a 1 in a million happening" or "That is something you don't see everyday...."

Ryan Lee

It's my second time to get a nuke using this stealth class. In Karachi, near the SEALs spawn point, I just went up a ladder and sniped from that roof top at guys that tried to stick their heads up from the other side of the road. I just used up my UMP's rounds (and unlocked both the Harrier and Chopper Gunner) when three guys tried to vault over the ladder and knife me. It was lucky that I had my silenced SPA-12 there. Three guys tried to get to the rooftop but were all finished off with my SPAS-12, having scored just enough skills for Chopper Gunner. I just went on using the Chopper Gunner and nuked everyone straight off.

I must admit that I'm a akimbo M1887 fan (I still use it nowadays, but a lot less ever since using the SPAS 12, which I haven't used it until lvl 50). But having achieved a nuke with the SPAS-12 (which I haven't when using the M1887, I just came to the fact that the M1887s might not be the best shotguns in the game. Subsequent games have led me to change the M1887 to SPAS 12.

Darkman 4

One time I managed to piss off a guy in Rundown by repeatedly killing him with the SPAS-12. I wasn't specifically targeting him, but it just so happened that he liked hanging out in areas where the SPAS-12 is most effective. :D He managed to kill me once, but I got him 5 times during the match. You could tell he was really angry about me dominating him with the SPAS-12 because at the end, he typed something like "Thank god this is over".

I also managed to make one guy type "wtf shotty" by blowing him away with the SPAS-12 in one of Scrapyard's abandoned airplanes. I don't think people expect to see a maniac like me charging them with the "worthless" SPAS-12 and blow them away. i lov AA-12 One time on terminal me and my friend were playing and i died all the time but when i was close to winning until he killed me with his TAR-21 after that i owed him with my silenced SPAS-12 and i won!. (I actually killed him from the hip because he was so close to me.)

Before I got MW2, I'd watch vids on YouTube and listen to my friends. My friends were talking about how much ownage they were doing with the SPAS-12, and I thought: "How could a pump action shotgun that holds 8 shells be preferred over a semi-auto shotgun that holds 12 shells (I already knew the AA-12 kinda sucked)?". When I unlocked it, I loved it. But when I tried out the Striker, I thought, "Just doesn't have that feeling".

After my 2nd Prestige, I got the Grip for the SPAS-12 in 1 day. Loadedfinger emblem MW2.png Maj.Gage Talk. 23:25, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

I have always loved the SPAS-12 since Rainbow 6 Vegas. It was my favorite then, and it's my favorite now. So many people use the 1887s since they see everyone else using them, which is a big reason that I don't want to use them. I don't consider the 1887s as "modern" by any means. I love how the SPAS-12 is illegal to own in United States since it's "not for sporting use". I bust it out for almost all the maps that are CQB. I am also a knife-monkey. I love the tactical knife attachments. So I have two classes to chose from. If people are camping and using the HBS as a crutch, I switch to the knife class and tap them on the shoulder with it.

Recently I've gotten a 7-kill streak, within about 15 seconds while holding down the center building in Derail. Thereby solidifying it's awesomeness and place in almost all of my loadouts.

Lone Mayhem

So this is the first time I've ever even played a COD game and I just started to test out my classes. I disliked the launchers, handguns and even the machine pistols. The shotguns were the only secondary that appealed to me. I remember the first several games that I tested out the SPAS-12, I had gotten the Grip fairly easily and was running around on Domination on Favela. I got 40+ kills with the sniper system, I mean shotgun SPAS-12. My most favorite moment was killing a guy capping the C flag and I killed him ADS off the top of the building next to it. Three stories up and I killed him without Stopping Power, it was fantastic and has made the SPAS-12 my only secondary in the game.

Until I prestiged, I ignored the Spas a lot, thinking the Akimbo shotguns were way better. For example, on a team deathmatch in Invasion, there are about three people using akimbo 1887s and Rangers. As usual, they were taking everyone down. So I continue on with the game until it is 74-74. I pulled out my SPAS 12 and blindfire into the bookstore and get the game winning kill. The other guy had Akimbo Rangers and he tried firing, but I was merely hurt. The SPAS 12 however, did its job very well. This shotgun is now the bane of Akimbo Rangers and 1887's.

Cpl. Wilding

I had the SPAS-12 with RDS + Silencer for a while, and one day I decided I would rather use my shotgun than the Vector for a while. (this is on Derail) I run up to the building facing B and fly down the stairs to be confronted by two enemies. I shot and killed one, ran up, pumped and ran down to kill the other. I then waited in the corner for them to come back and lo and behold, they did. I killed them again plus another guy, earning me a Predator missile. I didn't have time to use it since about three more were coming my way. I waited again for them, ambushed them and shot two and knifed the third, giving me my precious Precision Airstrike. This time I bolted out, hit-and-run killed another tango, giving me my Harrier. Confident that I was doing well, I rushed to the enemy spawn...only to be sniped. But once I called in my Harrier/PAirstrike/Predator combo, there was little they could do.

I got a nuke on Scrapyard playing Domination using only the SPAS-12. I started out sniping but my aim was off, so i decided to mess around with the SPAS. I got a good streak goin, so i thought "i could get a nuke". so I camped in the ground near A and got my nuke. it was beast!.

I was playing on Terminal on TDM and I kept owning everyone with the SPAS-12! Then I got an 11 killstreak with the SPAS-12 alone. It was a Chopper Gunner I got. Then towards the end with a minute left, I owned everyone again but I had 2 enemies coming toward me. So, I blasted them out of oblivion with my shotgun and it was the Game Winning Kill! I watched it again and thought "Great gun".

Was playing in a tournament, and I was the last guy left on my team, in Favela. I turn the corner, and there's two guys waiting for me, so I jump, spin 90 degrees, and blast the first guy, and the second guy suddenly dies. Then, the match ends in a Victory. Turns out that some guy who was trying to snipe me missed and killed the second guy, and then got sat out for teamkilling. Epic triple kill?

Cpl. Dunn

I was playing in Terminal on Free-For-All and I was out of ammo for my ACR so I switched to my SPAS-12. I am about to go through the boarding dock to the airplane, and three enemies come at me shooting like crazy. I shoot one of them in the head, run for cover, run back and shoot another. The last guy is running now (probably out of ammo, I'm not sure) So I chase him down the hall and he just turns around. He stands still and waits for me. I just walk up and get a headshot. It was the game winning kill.

I was playing team deathmatch on Sub Base and ran out of ammo in that room with the generators in it. I looked at my radar and I saw two blips coming from outside and popped around the window and shot my SPAS-12 and stepped back to cock it and All Pro popped up on my screen, 2 headshots, one burst. Then I wheeled around again and another poor victim was standing there and fell victim to the second shotgun blast. After that death Wargasm popped up on my screen. I had 3, 4, and 5 kill streaks selected. SPAS-12 FTW.

I love the SPAS-12, it's a beast. I no longer use the Grip, simply because a pump-action shotgun doesn't need the vertical recoil reduction and FMJ has been my standard attachment since figuring this out. Having almost got the 2500 kill title done for the SPAS-12, i've gathered an epic moment from the depth of my memory to commemorate it's awesomeness. 1. Afghan, Domination, Bunker on the east side of the map. Occasionally, down to my SPAS-12 having FMJ as it's attachment now, i've got collateral damage kills with it, but this bunker gave me a double collateral. A UAV was up and i recently just shot someone with my Field Sniper Class (Intervention FMJ, Sleight of Hand) and I noticed 4 people were closing on my position. I whipped out my SPAS-12 and got ready for some fun. First guy came round the corner, BOOM, kthxbai and the person directly behind him was probably a little confused as to why he died. However, the next 2, wary of the maniac with the shotgun round the corner, still thought they could take me if they went into together. Wrong. Another shot, another 2 kills. a 5th guy went down when a knifer tried to flank me, at which point I left the bunker before the inevitable noobtube/semtex/anything explosive came in.

Once on Highrise a guy with a AA-12 kept spawn killing my team so I took out the SPAS-12, this was the only shotgun I had because I just Prestiged and I didn't really like it at the time, and run round the corner and he got a couple of shots into me but I blasted him away and showed him what a real shotgun is like. I then turned around and killed 2 more enemies with the one shot.

I love the SPAS-12. I played this Team deathmatch game on Invasion once, and at the beginning of the match, I charged from the Ranger's spawn and into the enemy's spawn. I got in and killed everyone I saw. I got a 7 kill-streak which got me a care package, a Predator missile, and a Harrier.

SPAS-12 or SpAZ. I was playing Team Deathmatch on Scrapyard, I went 41 in 12 w/SPAS. I ran around the whole game with my SPAS and killed, killed, KILLLLEDDD!!!!!! I rushed at the beginning, and consider myself lucky.

The Spas-12 is one of the best guns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2! Once, in a game of Team Deathmatch, I was trying to get a headshot on an enemy, when they quickly turned around. The bullet hit the riot shield on their back & ricocheted off of it, killing the enemy behind me. This gun is such a life saver!

Team Deathmach on Terminal. I'm running up the slide into the plane. I go towards the gate exit. I hipfire my Spas right around the corner The game ends. There was someone coming up from Final Stand and killed him and his teammate above him. Before it was 7400- 7300
