Closing AfDs[]

It would be nice if the admin who deletes articles could formally close the AfD on this page with a comment over why the article was deleted. Firstly, it brings the discussion to and end and allows us to archive the AfDs. Secondly, it also formally concludes discussions over articles that aren't to be deleted, as many AfDs sit around for months without any progress. --Scottie theNerd 02:53, March 17, 2010 (UTC)

Voting template[]

There's some ambiguity over using the voting template. The AfD page does not say anything about using it and it isn't clear (at least to me) as to how admins decide on whether a topic should be deleted after discussion, and editors are adding the template anyway. I would like some clarity on whether we're supposed to use the voting template for AfDs. --Scottie theNerd 08:31, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

In my case at least, I look at both sides of the argument. It is usually very obvious as to whether or not a page should be deleted. The only time I vote is if I am unsure, otherwise I just delete the page. Imrlybord7 19:20, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Unfinished archived AfDs[]

Many AfDs that were recently archived in the March section are still open. Could an admin make a decision to keep or delete these articles based on the arguments and votes presented? It would be much better in the future if these could be settled instead of being swept under the rug. --Scottie theNerd 03:03, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

I'll take a look at them if they haven't already been attended to. Imrlybord7 19:20, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Dead Ops Arcade[]

I'm putting this here as I have multiple issues, and, as I am relatively new here, I am unfamiliar with the formatting to set up a legitimate deletion request.
Recently, a member has set up numerous links to new pages on Dead Ops Arcade and has created these new pages. The problem with these is that they are ALL stubs and none contain more information than on the page Dead Ops Arcade. If more information could be added to these stubs, it could quite easily be covered in the Dead Ops Arcade page rendering these new pages as useless. Examples of these new pages include the Fate Power ups, some of the level specific power ups and pick ups, the levels and the bonus rooms. All of these stubs are unnecessary and i don't feel they contribute to the wiki any more than the Dead Ops Arcade page already has.The McPowell 20:09, December 19, 2010 (UTC)

In time, these pages will be expanded on in some way. For the moment, leave them be. ← Bravo Five-Nine Talk 21:11, December 20, 2010 (UTC)

Closing AFDs[]

Is it possible to be more prompt in closing AFDs? We have quite a few nominations withdrawn or otherwise able to be closed as delete. bibliomaniac15 21:08, December 20, 2010 (UTC)
