Carlson's Raiders were a group of elite Marines that scouted out Japanese bases in the Pacific during World War II. These marine raiders specialized in amphibious attacks behind enemy lines. They are featured in Call of Duty: World at War's Pacific Campaign and are one of the multiplayer factions available to play.

Carlson's Raiders appear in the campaign mission "Semper Fi". They rescue the main playable character C. Miller and his Squad from a Japanese base on Makin Atoll. They then set out to complete their night raid of the Japanese military installation on Makin Atoll. This seems to be their only appearance in the campaign, since in the following American levels of the game, the player seems to be assigned with other Marine divisions.
