The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is an American foreign intelligence service featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as a playable faction in the campaign and as a supporting faction in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. They are responsible for providing intelligence and logistical support to domestic and international partner forces.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare[]
The CIA appointed a liaison operator to the United Kingdom assisted the MI6 in tracking down the Al-Qatala cell responsible for the attack on Piccadilly Circus, they also provided help for the Urzikstani Liberation Force (ULF), led by Farah Karim. To facilitate this assistance, the CIA dispatched Alex Keller, one of their operatives, to be embedded with the Militia in their struggle against Al-Qatala and the Russian occupation forces under the command of General Roman Barkov.
In late 2019, CIA Station Chief Kate Laswell helped Captain John Price to establish his own Task Force, the 141.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II[]
On October 31st, 2022, Station Chief Kate Laswell went on an off the book operation together with John Price and Kyle "Gaz" Garrick to search for the stolen American ballistic missiles. And on November 4th, 2022, Station Chief Kate Laswell helped in tracking down the whereabouts of the final stolen missile and guided Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish to defuse it.
