Phillip Graves and several members of Shadow Company operate inside their AC-130 Spectre Gunship callsign Shadow-1. Graves walks along the fuselage, giving orders to his men. Three crew members stand by a 105mm cannon and load a round inside the tube. A fourth gunner loads another round into the rack.
Graves: Loaders, get your rounds in the can.
Shadow-1 Gunner: Yes, Commander.
Graves: Nav, set a heading for that compound.
Shadow-1 Nav: Roger.
Graves: Fire officer, keep a hand on the hot switch, we're just gettin' started here.
Shadow-1 FCO: Solid copy!
Graves: Pilot, you have the con. Once on station, circle the target, bring us around.
Shadow-1 Pilot: Sir.
Graves: Comm, get me General Shepherd.
Shadow-1 Comms Ofc: Rog, stand by. (pause) Shepherd's up, sir.
Graves: Gold Eagle Actual, this is Shadow-1, how copy?
Shepherd: Loud and clear, Shadow-1, send traffic.
Graves: I had to bail your boys out, luckily they have friends in high places.
Shepherd: That's what you're there for. Tell me something' good.
Graves: We got a hit on Hassan. Approaching the target location now. We'll get this bastard rolled up for a little talkin' too.
Shepherd: That's what I like to hear. Report back when Hassan's in the bag.
Graves: Roger that. Out here. All shadows, listen up-
The Shadow-1 crew turns to face Graves.
Graves: These guys on the ground... Mexican Special Forces, 141, they are your brothers now. You treat 'em like your own and let's get this done, yeah?
Shadow Group: YUP-YUP!
Graves watches the monitor being manned by the TV operator.
Graves: Alright! Ghost, this is Shadow-1, orbiting the compound now. Standing by for visual...

...the outskirts of the compound as Soap, Ghost, and Alejandro approach the target location in their vehicle.
Ghost: Shadow-1, Bravo 0-7. We'll mark our position with IR laser. Over.
Graves: Roger that, 0-7.
The trio park their vehicle and dismount.
Soap: How do we find Hassan?
Alejandro: He'll have an armed guard. Cartel protection.
Soap, Ghost, and Alejandro take cover.
Soap: Lotta places to hide...
Ghost: Graves covers with close air. We clear the buildings.
Soap: Copy that, L.T.
Ghost: Mark us. (on radio) Shadow-1, we're east of the compound. Position is marked.
Soap takes out his IR laser and waves it at the sky. The scene shifts back to Shadow-1.

The camera switches to the video monitor of a TV operator in Shadow-1.

Ghost: Shadow-1, Bravo 0-7. We're marking with IR laser. Do you have a visual?
The player switches from normal vision to thermal vision and marks the location of the TF-141/Los Vaqueros team.
Shadow-1 TV Operator: Copy visual.
Graves: 0-7, copy your mark.
Ghost: Shadow-1, be advised, Hassan is moving with an armed guard. You cover external, we'll clear the buildings. How copy?
Graves: 0-7, good copy. Armed guard. We'll secure the area so you can move in. Stand by.
Ghost: Roger that.
Graves: TV, scan for targets with an armed guard. Let's find this sumbitch.
Shadow-1 Nav: Two unknowns, south of the stables.
The TV operator zooms in on two civilians by a truck.
Graves: Check fire.
Shadow-1 Nav: Civilians in the area.
Graves: No guard, no weapons. Not Hassan.; No weapons. Keep scanning.
A truck is seen leaving the stables.
Ghost: Shadow-1, there's a truck leaving the stables, moving west.
Graves: Copy. TV, track that vehicle.
The TV operator zooms in on the truck that left the stables.
Shadow-1 TV Operator: Copy. Tracking.
Shadow-1 Nav: The truck is now moving southwest, along the dirt road. Got unknowns ahead of 'em.
The truck is seen driving along the road through a plantation field filled with farmers. The TV operator keeps tracking with said vehicle.
Shadow-1 Nav: Looks like more farmers, stand by...
Graves: Do you see a weapon on 'em?
Shadow-1 FCO: Negative. No weapons, no guards.
Graves: Copy. Keep scanning.
The truck comes to a stop.
Shadow-1 Nav: The truck just stopped on the road.
Ghost: Shadow-1, we've got targets at the greenhouse to our northwest. Roping now.
The TV operator scans down to the greenhouse and observes several men by a truck and the greenhouse.
Graves: 0-7, no visual on the target. What's the call?
Alejandro: That army convoy's gaining ground.
Soap: We go in guns blazing, hope he squirts, lock him up from there.
Ghost: Graves, you're cleared hot to engage external. We'll clear the buildings when secure.
Graves: 0-7, copy that. Keep your heads down.
The TV operator's targeting system goes online and a targeting reticule appears on the monitor.
Graves: All Shadows, you are clear to engage armed personnel only. Do not fire on the buildings.
Shadow-1 TV Operator: Copy, armed personnel only.
Graves: Use the 25 mike-mike to limit collateral. Let's make some music.
The TV operator switches to the 25mm Gatling gun and opens fire on the armed guards.

Shadow-1 Nav: Check targets, civilians are in the area.; Do not fire on the buildings.; Do not engage the buildings.

(Every time the TV operator kills an armed guard:)

Shadow-1 Nav: Awwwww, man...; Wrecked that guy.; Oh, yeah. Got him.
(Every time the gunner reloads...)
Shadow-1 Gunner: Loading rounds.
Eventually, all the guards in the area are eliminated.
Graves: Do we have any more personnel in the area?
Shadow-1 Nav: Negative. No movement.
Graves: 0-7, all visible targets are down. Over.
Ghost: Shadow-1, copy that. We'll be clearing the stables building first. Roping now.
Shadow-1 Nav: TV, friendlies are marking the stables building. Confirm visual.
The TV operator zooms in on the stables building as the trio on the ground can be seen approaching it.
Shadow-1 TV Operator: Tally target.
Graves: 0-7, copy your mark. You're clear to proceed.
Ghost: Shadow-1, we're moving now. If the target squirts, let us know.
Graves: Shadow-1 copies.
Ghost: Soap, freeze down the right side.
Soap: Aye.
The ground team stacks up by the door and prepares to breach. Soap moves down the right side exterior of the stables.
Ghost: Breaching.
The team enters and civilian voices can be heard crying out in terror.
Alejandro: ¡Bajense! ¡Bajense! (Get down! Get down!)
Cartel Member 1: (in Spanish) This is Las Almas territory, mother fucker!
Alejandro: (in Spanish) Shit!
Gunshots can be heard on the radio. Soap moves down the side and guns down a cartel member.
Graves: Watch for squirters...
A civilian woman and child are seen running out of the stables.
Shadow-1 Nav: Unknowns exiting the stables right now.
Shadow-1 FCO: Got a woman and kid down there. Check fire.
Graves: Scan for Hassan.
Alejandro: Reloading!
Ghost: You got a visual?
Alejandro: Negative!
Several armed guards and civilians run out of the stables.
Shadow-1 Nav: Got armed personnel right there.
Graves: Rog. Keep fire clear of civilians.
Ghost: X-ray down! Graves, negative on Hassan! It's a dry hole!
Two vehicles are seen driving up to the stables and offloading more cartel members.
Shadow-1 TV Operator: Multiple vehicles approaching from the south.
Shadow-1 Nav: Enemy personnel are moving on the stables.
Graves: Ghost, copy that. I need you out of the building. Move north right now.
Ghost: Copy. Moving!
Soap, Ghost, and Alejandro get clear of the stables.
Ghost: Graves, we're clear! Drop that fuckin' building now!
Graves: 0-7, copy. Danger close. TV, you're cleared hot. 40 mike-mike.; Drop that fucking building.
The TV operator switches from the 25mm gun to the 40mm Bofors auto cannon and fires on the stables building until it's destroyed.
Alejandro: Shadow-1, good shots. We're pushing west to the greenhouse.
Armed cartel members can be seen inside the greenhouse.
Shadow-1 Nav: More personnel in the greenhouse.
Graves: All stations, there's armed personnel in the greenhouse.
The cartel members can be seen firing on Soap, Ghost, and Alejandro.
Ghost: Contact!
Soap: Check fire! Hassan could be inside!
Graves: TV, can you get a visual inside the building?
Shadow-1 TV Operator: Affirmative. Stand by.
(If the TV operator waits long enough to scan the greenhouse:)
Graves: TV, scan the greenhouse. We need PID on Hassan.
The TV operator scans the greenhouse through the monitor.
Shadow-1 Nav: Uh, no visual on the target. Appears to be armed personnel only.
Graves: Ghost, keep your men back, we're fixing' to engage the greenhouse.
Ghost: Solid copy!
Graves: TV, you are cleared hot to level the greenhouse.
The TV operator opens fire on the greenhouse and kills the cartel members holed up inside until it's completely leveled.
Ghost: Shadow-1, good effect on target. We're moving up.
Graves: Roger, 0-7.
Soap, Ghost, and Alejandro move up to the destroyed greenhouse and inspect the bodies to find Hassan.
Soap: These guys are fucked.
Ghost: Dust 'em.
Soap: Where is this fucker?
Alejandro: He has to be in that compound.
The trip moves up to a large villa.
Ghost: Shadow-1, what's the ETA on that convoy?
Graves: 0-7, convoy is six klicks out, advise you step it up and secure exfil.
Alejandro: I'll contact Rodolfo.
Ghost: Do it. Graves, we're working on exfil now. Be advised, last building we'll hit is the compound. How copy?
Shadow-1 Pilot: Movement in the compound, crew.
Graves: 0-7, good copy. Hold your position until we clear the area.
Ghost: Roger that.
The trio comes under fire from armed cartel members attacking their left flank. One of the members fires an RPG at them from the water tower.
Ghost: Shadow-1, troops in contact!
Alejandro: RPG!
Ghost: Move left! Now!
Shadow-1 Nav: Enemy personnel moving in fast.
Ghost: Shadow-1, x-rays at the water tower!; We're taking rocket fire from the water tower! Hit it now!
Graves: Level that water towel!
(If the TV operator doesn't fire on the water towel soon enough:)
Ghost: Graves, take out that water tower or we're done!
The TV operator fires on the RPG soldier by the water tower.
Graves: Good shot.
Soap: Ghost is hit!
Shadow-1 Nav: We got a man down.
Graves: TV, I want a wall of fire around our boys. Start raining hell!
Soap: He's by the truck!
The TV operator opens fire on the cartel members.
Ghost: Positive impacts! Hit 'em again!
A few cartel members are seen running into the nearby shed.
Shadow-1 FCO: Got guys running in to the shed.
Graves: Level that fucking thing.
The TV operator fires on the shed and completely demolishes it.
Graves: Watch for movement.
Shadow-1 Nav: Yeah, we're clear.
Graves: Ghost, no movement detected. What's your status?
Soap: He'll be alright. Round hit the plate.
Ghost: Affirm. Good thing your aim isn't shite, like theirs.
(Alternatively, if the TV operator's shots were accurate and on target...)
Ghost: Affirm. Proper air support, mate.
Graves: Roger that, 0-7. Be advised, you're clear to the compound, but the gate is blocked at this time.
Ghost: Copy, give us a way in, yeah?
Graves: We'll open the door for you. Stand by...
The TV operator fires on the gate leading to the compound and destroys it.
Graves: Boom.
Shadow-1 Nav: Good effect on target.
Graves: Ghost, door's open. You're clear to proceed.
Ghost: Copy that. Moving now.
Soap, Ghost, and Alejandro enter the compound.
Shadow-1 Nav: Enemy personnel in the courtyard.
Graves: Keep our boys covered.
The TV operator fires on the guards inside the compound until they're all dead.
Graves: Ghost, no movement detected.
Ghost: Copy. We're pushing to the entrance now.
The trio moves through the compound and reaches the entrance into the main villa.
Graves: Roger, we see you. Be advised, the convoy is three klicks out. You need to haul ass.
Ghost: Solid copy.
Soap: Alejandro, where's that exfil?
Alejandro: Five minutes out.
Soap: It's gonna be close.
Ghost: Let's do this, then.
Soap: Breaching.
Soap, Ghost, and Alejandro blow open the doors and enter the villa. The sounds of gunfire and Spanish voices can be heard.
Cartel Member 3: ¡Están aquí! (They're here!)
Cartel Member 2: (in Spanish) Get the Major upstairs!
Several cartel members are seen outside the villa getting shot and killed.
Ghost: Shadow-1, Positive ID on Hassan! He's moving upstairs! Graves, he's exiting the second floor! North-west side!
The TV operator scans the building and sees Hassan under escort by a cartel member.
Shadow-1 TV Operator: Possible ID on the target.
Graves: Yeah. That's Hassan.
Soap, Ghost, and Alejandro can be seen running after Hassan.
Alejandro: Got a visual on Hassan!
Shadow-1 FCO: More enemy personnel in the courtyard.
Ghost: Shadow-1 we've got PID on Hassan, moving on him now!
Graves: 0-7, copy that. We got you covered.
Alejandro: He ran inside!
Graves: Clear 'em out.
Shadow-1 Nav: Target's moving internal. Southwest building. Second floor.
Graves: Our boys can handle it. Keep 'em covered.
Soap, Ghost, and Alejandro can be seen moving into the building Hassan is hiding in.
Soap: Get down!
Alejandro: Get down! Now!
Hassan: Who the fuck are you?
The sounds of grunting and struggling are heard.
Alejandro: Mexican Special Forces, you're coming with us...
Ghost: Shadow-1, Bravo 0-7. Jackpot. I say again, jackpot. Target is secure.
Graves: 0-7, solid copy. What's the status of your exfil?
Alejandro: This is Victor 1-1, exfil is two minutes out!
Shadow-1 Nav: All Shadows, that military convoy is approaching the AO.
Graves: Roger - All stations, be advised - convoy is closing on the target area now.
The Mexican Army convoy is seen arriving at the compound.
Soap: Copy that, Shadow-1, good eye.
Ghost: Alejandro, what's the call?
Alejandro: They're with the cartel - free to engage.
Ghost: Shadow, how copy?
Graves: Solid. All Shadows, Mex-Army is considered hostile at this time. TV, you are cleared hot to engage the convoy.
The TV operator opens fire on the Mexican army vehicles and soldiers, until the area is cleared of them.
Shadow-1 Nav: No movement in the area.
Graves: All stations, visible targets are down. You're clear to proceed.
Alejandro: Shadow-1, copy that. Exfil is inbound now.
Rodolfo's vehicle can be seen approaching the villa.
The scene switches to the ground where Ghost and Alejandro exit the building with Soap escorting Hassan behind. Rodolfo drives up to the team.
Rodolfo: Come on! Come on!
Hassan: I am a Quds Force Major! You have no right-!
Soap slams Hassan onto the vehicle.
Soap: Shut the fuck up!
Soap forces Hassan into the vehicle as he, Ghost, and Alejandro mount up.
Hassan: (in Arabic) You will pay dearly for this!
Alejandro and Rodolfo converse with each other.
Alejandro: Justo a tiempo, carnal. (Right on time, brother.)
Rodolfo: Nunca te dejare atrás. (Wasn't going to leave your ass behind.)
Alejandro: La extracción es por Olmeda. (Exfil is through Olmeda.)
Rodolfo: Quizás habrá resistencia... (We might hit resistance...)
Alejandro: (in Spanish) We have close air. We can make it.
Soap: We're good!
Ghost: Go!
The vehicle drives off from the compound.
Ghost: Shadow-1, package secure. We're RTB.
