- "Streets of Vietnam. Close engagements in and out of war-torn buildings."
- — Cracked's map description
Cracked is a large-sized multiplayer map featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Overview[]
Cracked was first seen being played by community VIPs during the multiplayer reveal for the game. It's also the basis for the singleplayer campaign mission, The Defector. In the middle of the map there are one or two buildings with lots of cracked terrain, hence the name, Cracked. This is where the B flag for Domination is located.
Trivia[]
- In one of the north-west buildings on the minimap there is a clock on the wall that goes exactly the same as the player's local home time. It is in the house closest to C3 on the mini map, on the ground floor against the stair case.
- The map bears a resemblance to the Hue City in the movie Full Metal Jacket.
- There are two signs that are direct references to the final scenes of the movie. The red MỸ TOÀN sign can be seen above the small tiled room in the north-west area of the map, and the blue TÂM PHƯƠNG sign can be seen on a building in the background in the south-east area of the map.
