Cryptid Slayer Ammo is an ammo type in Call of Duty: Ghosts in Extinction mode. It is available via the armory for 500 Teeth to players who have purchased the Nemesis DLC.

When bought, the player will be granted a special ammo which is a cross of all of the other ammo types. This power boost comes at a cost of $2000 per box. It possesses the damage traits of Stun Ammo, Incendiary Ammo, Explosive Ammo, and Armor Piercing Ammo, and possess the quantity traits of standard ammo. If the user has purchased other ammunition upgrades, such as Arcing Stun, Higher Quality Incendiary and High Grade Armour Piercing, they will be combined to add more lethality to the Cryptid Slayer Ammo. Cryptid Slayer Ammo has the same upgrade path as Standard Ammo, which makes the last upgrade cost two skill points instead of just one.

It should be noted that, if the Arcing Stun activates, nearby Cryptids will also be subject to the same after-hit effects, such as being set on fire and being hit by a little explosion. This allows one shot to light several enemies ablaze with the Arcing Stun.

Cryptid Slayer Ammo is known to interfere with the completion of map easter eggs that require specific objects to be shot. Much like with the ARK, the Cryptid Slayer Ammo usually needs to be removed in some way in order for a weapon to be eligible to trigger these easter eggs.

Because Explosive Ammo is a component of Cryptid Slayer Ammo, the Cryptid Slayer Ammo has an innate 10% damage boost that will override the Weapon Specialist's damage boost, causing Weapon Specialists to deal less damage to targets compared to if they were using a non-explosive ammo type.

Cryptid Slayer Ammo, by default, cannot be found in Search Piles. However, it is possible for players who already have Cryptid Slayer Ammo loaded into their weapons to force the Search Pile to give Cryptid Slayer Ammo in the same way it gives a small amount of any other special ammo. If the user's weapon they are actively holding while interacting with a Search Pile has Cryptid Slayer Ammo loaded into their weapon, the Search Pile cannot give any special ammo type other than Cryptid Slayer Ammo. This does not prevent the Search Pile from giving other types of contents, but it does prevent the Search Pile from giving a conflicting, suboptimal ammo type.
