Zombies[]

Zombies Mode[]

Zombies Concept Art MW

An unused pitch concept art for Zombies.[5]

"We're trying to create an authentic, realistic feeling world. We don't have the flexibility to do something like put zombies in the game. That would compromise the feeling of playing in a world that feels realistic and authentic and relative to today's conflicts and things we face."
Jacob Minkoff[6]

A Zombies mode was initially pitched with one concept art but was scrapped in favor of Special Ops; the main factor being that Infinity Ward wanted to have a grounded and realistic co-op mode[7]. Several prototypes were made before the change[8]. Only a few lines of leftover code remained in the game's files.

DLC[]

Supply Drops[]

Images of Supply Drops were found within the game, and were originally intended to be part of the game. However, they were removed completely in favor of a Battle Pass.

Cosmetic Feature[]

Tattoos and Face Paint are seen in early screenshots from The Making of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, each operator was to have a unique listing of face paint and tattoos that could be applied separately from skins.

Finishing Move[]

A Legendary Finishing Move titled "Bag 'Em" was added to the game files in Season Three. Its animation involves performing a dramatized version of the player action known as tea bagging. The item was shelved from official release.
