Damned is the first track in the Call of Duty: Black Ops - Zombies Soundtrack.
It is composed by Kevin Sherwood, who also composed most of the other Zombies songs. Like Undone, it is purely instrumental and it consists mainly of the piano. It was first heard on the viral website GKNOVA6 and is also heard on the menu and lobby for Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II zombie mode. The song samples the main theme of the 1978 film Halloween for the background piano. The Black Ops II version differs from the original as it uses a future-esque techno beat. The music also plays on "Five" and Kino der Toten very quietly and can be heard if there are no zombies around or any other background noise. The Black Ops II version of the song has been remixed by Brian Tuey and renamed the composition to "Damned100ae". The version in Call of Duty: Black Ops III was also remixed by Brian Tuey.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Both Abracadavre and Not Ready to Die sample Damned.
- There is also an arcade/8-bit version produced by James McCawley called Re-Damned in Moon which is triggered by hacking a computer. This version is also an easter egg song in the map Nuketown Zombies.
