The Dark Aether Camouflage is a mastery camouflage in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War[]
Dark Aether is the Zombies equivalent to the DM Ultra Camouflage in Multiplayer, and is obtained by unlocking Plague Diamond Camouflage for every weapon class, or in other words, unlocking Golden Viper Camouflage for the required number of weapons in a specific weapon class for every class in the game. Upon unlocking Dark Aether Camouflage, the player will be rewarded 7500XP, as well as a special mastery sticker and emblem, alongside the animated "Dark Aether" calling card.
Design[]
Dark Aether Camouflage is very reminiscent to Dark Matter Camouflage, consisting of an animated dark purple crystalline void with hints of black, pink and dark red, which is meant to be stylized after the eponymous dimension and its crystal formations. Additionally, various parts of a weapon such as the barrel and magazine will be given a metallic jet-black color to offset the rest of the camouflage.

Call of Duty: Vanguard[]
Dark Aether returns in Call of Duty: Vanguard as the Zombies equivalent of the Atomic Camouflage in Multiplayer. It is a green and black recolor of the Atomic camouflage. It is obtained by unlocking the Plague Diamond camouflage for eight weapon classes in the game.
