Dark Aether Crystals are Aetherium found within the Dark Aether. When breaking them, they have a chance to reward the player with Salvage, Weapons, Lethals, Tacticals and Perk-a-Colas.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War[]
In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Dark Aether Crystals are spawned inside the Dark Aether and in Outbreak Zones with a purple coloring. Within Firebase Z, Mauer der Toten and Forsaken, the Crystals are spawned throughout the map without the need to go into the Dark Aether.
Call of Duty: Vanguard[]
In Call of Duty: Vanguard, Dark Aether Crystals are featured in Der Anfang, Terra Maledicta and The Archon however, with a red coloring.
