For a more in-depth view of related camouflages, see Weapon Camouflage/Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Weapon Camouflage/Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Dark Matter Camouflage is a hidden weapon camouflage featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops III. It also returns in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, though it is not kept secret from the player and is featured next to the other unlockable camouflages. It features animated purple and blue smoke with a tint of black and red spots revolving around the gun. It is unlocked for all weapons by obtaining Diamond Camouflage for all weapon classes in the game, or in other words obtaining Gold Camouflage for every weapon available in multiplayer. Along with the camouflage, the player will also unlock a Dark Ops challenge called "Obtained", giving the player a calling card with a texture of a cut diamond, and they are rewarded an additional 10000 XP.

Weapons obtained from Supply Drops (such as the Wrench) are not necessary to complete to obtain Dark Matter for other weapons, but other weapons also have to be completed to obtain Dark Matter for Supply Drop weapons.

Call of Duty: Mobile[]

Dark Matter appears as a series of blueprints, first appearing on the ICR-1 and Razorback, then becoming available to the CR-56 AMAX, M13, Swordfish, Man-O-War, DR-H, Krig 6, BP50, ZRG 20mm, Chopper, Hades, QXR, KSP 45, Renetti, L-CAR 9, Katana and Prizefighters. Dark Matter also appears as a skin for a few pieces of equipment such as the Combat Axe and Molotov Cocktail.

The Chinese and Garena versions of the game exclusively has Dark Matter blueprints for the HVK-30, MW11, J358, SMRS, FHJ-18 and Knife.
