Darkness Infiltration is a Zombies mode featured in Call of Duty: Mobile released during 2024 Season 9 update as part of the collab with Alchemy Stars. The mode have some elements borrowed from Undead Siege. It then later removed upon 2024 Season 10: 5th Anniversary updates and is unavailable in the Global client of the game.
Taking place on a section of the Isolated map from the Battle Royale mode, Darkness Infiltration features various enemies, objectives to complete and rewards to unlock.
Gameplay[]
A game of Darkness Infiltration consists of one (or two, in case of Difficulty 5 and 6) main quests that need to be completed in order to exfil, while also facing against hostile enemy types. In higher difficulties, there are extra side quests that can be optionally completed to increase the rewards obtained from the match. Players start with their own loadouts and Chain Combos that can be modified on the loadouts menu.
During the explorations, players can finds loot chests, which, when opened will provide players with either Lumambers, Star Flares or Special Star Flares that can be used to "summon" additional Aurorians, which can then be equipped into the players' loadout to assist them in a match. Completing a match also provides players with these resources, with the best-performing player get an additional bonus.
Upon death, the player will be redeployed if the 30-seconds period is over or their teammates uses the Redeploy Teammates Chain Combo, whichever comes first. Every redeployment costs 1 redeploy charge (shown on the top left of the HUD by default), which will slowly recharge 1 charge every 5 minutes, and players starts with 5-8 charges depending on the number of players. It is noteworthy that if every members of the team get killed, the redeploy timer get reduced to 3 seconds, while still following the above rules in terms of redeploy charges.
After the player completed all the side quests, they will be prompted to go to the exfil location. Once there, players needs to "hack" inside the terminal and defend it for 120 seconds with atleast 1 players at the terminal. Failing to do so will reset the process. Once successful, the match ends in victory. Otherwise, if all players died and all redeploy charges were used up, or if the time runs out, players loses.
Playing the mode will gives players mainly the Alchemy Stars Camouflage.
Missions[]
- Escorting a truck and preventing any enemies from getting in close proximity.
- Protecting the terminal (similar to Exfil, but the terminal doesn't need to be hacked beforehand)
- Hack into a terminal twice while also repelling any enemies. A variant of this side mission also exists, and it involves two players simultaneously hack the terminal.
- Clear all Dark Gaps in the area (see below)
- Destroying a Dark Crystal using the Tactical Nuclear.
- ...
Missions can also appears multiple times (e.g. There may be 3 protect points at a time in Protect missions). The features most likely to appear on higher difficulties.
Dark Gaps[]
Along the map are the Dark Gaps that contains infinitely-respawning enemies on a specific area. They appears as the red zones and when approached, will spawn mid to high tier enemies. The respawning effect can be eliminated by destroying all the Dark Crystals in the zone. Some zones have only 1 crystal, while some have 2 or 3. There are no additional rewards for clearing the Dark Gaps.
Aurorians[]
Aurorians are the main factor of the mode. They can be "recruited" via the summoning page, which then can be later equipped on the players' loadouts. Each Aurorian provides either active support or passive boosts, depending on where they get equipped.
They can be upgraded by using Solambers and Heartstones, which are obtained by pulling duplicates Aurorians.
There are currently 53 available Aurorians, each of them having their own active and passive skills.
Trivia[]
- Dark Warriors and Zombies will not spawn in the same match despite them being affiliated with each other.
