De Leeuw was one of the men in the Dutch Resistance group along with Goriss, Janssen, Smits, Van de Berg and Van Dyke. They saved James Doyle after his B-17 Flying Fortress had been shot down over the Netherlands, their leader being Major Ingram (it is unclear whether Ingram was already a commanding officer of the SAS by the time of this mission). After Doyle joined their group, they continued their raid and succeeded in blowing up a train bridge, vital to the German war effort.

- The Dutch resistance men are among the few who can be seen wielding the Lee-Enfield in Call of Duty: United Offensive.
- De Leeuw will drive the escape lorry if Smits, Van de Berg and Goriss are dead. In fact, and perhaps for this reason, he is immortal. He simply won't die during the mission.
