The Defector was an unnamed person from the Call of Duty: Black Ops level "The Defector." He was killed during the attack on Hue City before the SOG team could get to him.

The defector was a vital contact to establish Soviet involvement in Vietnam and possibly other projects, such as Nova-6. At the time, SOG operative Alex Mason believed the defector was Viktor Reznov, though it is later established the real defector was confirmed to be dead.
