Cutscene

Adler: The Lubyanka Building... KGB headquarters in Moscow.

Blueprints of the Lubyanka Building appear alongside footage of its interior.

Adler: The sleeper agent records are stored in the archives one hundred feet below ground in a nuclear defense command bunker.

Sims: Your only way in or out is through this high-security elevator.

Footage and schematics of the building's elevator appear.

Adler: We'll need proper credentials. That's where out asset, Belikov, comes into play. Belikov has been our source inside the KGB for nearly a decade. He'll get us in. He came through for us in Yamantau, and he'll do it again.

Sims: This shit is crazy, even by his standards. You sure he's on board?

Adler: An immediate nuclear threat warrants every risk at this point. I'm sure he wouldn't disagree. Sims, get Belikov on the line.

A Russian rotary phone is seen on a desk.

Desperate Measures

Dmitri Belikov - KGB Head of Security

KGB Headquarters Moscow

March 9, 1981

Dmitri Belikov answers a phone in his office.

Belikov: (in Russian) Hello, this is Belikov.

Adler: (in Russian) I'm sorry, I thought this was the Singapore Embassy.

Belikov secures his connection on his computer and speaks to Adler.

Adler: We're almost at the tunnels. Did you get access to the bunker?

Adler: We're not friends yet, Belikov. Did you get access to the bunker?

Belikov examines the building's schematics on his computer.

Adler: We're getting the files in that bunker. Do whatever it takes.

Adler: Not yet. I know you have this under control.

If the player freed Lukas Richter in Brick in the Wall.

Adler: And one more thing. One of our East Berlin informants recently switched sides and fled for Moscow. We have reason to believe he's in the Lubyanka building today. He knows too much about our East Berlin Network. I'm thinking an early retirement.

Richter's KGB dossier appears on the monitor.

Adler: Good man. Now I know why Hudson thinks so highly of you.

Adler: Understood.

Adler: We'll meet you at the basement entrance once you have the bunker key.

Belikov Disconnects from the call as a Soviet messenger enters his office.

Soviet Soldier: Comrade Belikov, you've been summoned to the conference room upstairs. Secretary Gorbachev is here from the Central Committee.

Belikov exits his office and walks to the conference room. A soldier opens the doors for him.

Gorbachev: Comrade Belikov, have a seat. General Secretary Brezhnev has taken an interest in the new... security development.

Belikov takes his seat next to Gorbachev and across from Colonel Kravchenko and Imran Zakhaev.

Gorbachev: There's a mole within the KGB. The Committee wants someone from the First Chief Directorate to oversee Colonel Kravchenko's investigation. If you've not met him already, this is Imran Zakhaev.

Zakhaev: Thank you, Secretary Gorbachev. And thank you all for welcoming me with open arms. I can think of no greater tragedy than a home violated from the inside. The trust and love within a family is sacred.

Kravchenko: Apparently not everyone shares your beautiful sentiments.

Comrade Belikov. As Head of Security, I understand you've practically exhausted yourself trying to unearth this mole. How has that gone?

Kravchenko: I am not a patient man, Belikov. Or a compassionate one.

Zakhaev: I understand. Perhaps the love you hold for your comrades is so strong that you can't possibly imagine such betrayal.

Kravchenko: Yes, and once we are finished with this mole, he will be as blind and buried as his namesake.

Gorbachev: Until the mole is found I want security increased around the bunker. Zakhaev, do you have any recommendations?

Zakhaev: We should restrict bunker access. I also want to cultivate closer relationships with all of you. I want to know your hopes, your fears, your ambitions.

Gorbachev: Be thorough, but we don't want any significant disruptions.

Gorbachev: And you, Belikov. Who do you think should retain bunker access during the investigations?

Kravchenko excuses himself from the conference.

Gorbachev: Sound thinking, Comrade Belikov. I would prefer it if only General Charkov retains his bunker key.

Gorbachev: (to Zakhaev) So you'll see to it?

Zakhaev: Comrade Belikov, my apologies! Even your bunker access has been revoked. We can't be too cautious, can we? Secretary Gorbachev, I believe it would be best if only General Charkov retains his bunker key for now.

Gorbachev: Very well. See to it.

Zakhaev: It pains me to say it, but in a troubled time like this even generals need restrictions. Secretary Gorbachev, only General Charkov should retain his bunker key for now.

Gorbachev: Very well. See to it.

Zakhaev: Worry yourself no longer, sir. I've already ordered the bunker keys collected from the men.

Gorbachev: Comrade Belikov, we are in grave danger from the capitalists. Our collective, our very way of life is at risk.

Zakhaev: The traitor will be caught, and he will pay a high price for his betrayal.

Gorbachev: Belikov, you are dismissed.

Belikov stands and leaves the conference room.

A prompt appears:

KGB MAP

"Use the KGB Map to investigate multiple ways of acquiring a Bunker Key. The KGB Map updates with useful information as you explore. But first, open the map and track the camera room."

Belikov examines the KGB Map.

Belikov: I'm being watched. I need a bunker key, but first I'll have to kill the cameras.

The player is prompted to mark the camera room as an objective.

Belikov reaches and enters the Camera Room, occupied by a Soviet soldier.

Soviet Soldier: Sir?

Upon entering the caged area, the player will receive another prompt:

STEALTH METER

"Certain actions and spaces will raise suspicions. Be aware of who is around when entering Restricted spaces, Lockpicking doors, or Carrying Bodies."'

Belikov: This area is restricted. If I'm spotted here I'll blow my cover.

Soviet Soldier: Sir. What can I do for you? / How can I help you, sir?

The player is then prompted to eliminate the guard. Using the melee button behind him will cause Belikov to perform a non-lethal takedown.

Belikov incapacitates the soldier.

Belikov: Now I need to hide the body.

Belikov hides the body in a nearby cabinet before deactivating the cameras.

The player will receive another prompt:

KGB MAP

"Cameras are shut down. Explore the map to find a way to acquire a Bunker Key and then let Adler and his team into the building."'

Belikov examines the map.

Belikov: I have to get a bunker key for Adler. He'll need it to access the vault. *Sighs* Unfortunately, Charkov now has the only one.

The player is given five different methods of obtaining a bunker key:

Belikov speaks to Charkov's secretary at his desk.

Secretary: What can I do for you, Comrade Belikov?

Secretary: The General will be questioning a prisoner today, but should be available most of the time.

Secretary: Just let me know when you're ready to meet with him.

Belikov: I have a chance to kill Charkov. Kravchenko's office will have the poison I need.

Belikov travels to the restricted lower level of the building and reaches Kravchenko's office, choosing to either eliminate or sneak past the patrolling guard. After lockpicking the door, Belikov accesses Kravchenko's computer and uses the latter's credentials to view his Nova 6 entries. Viewing the first entry, Belikov gathers that the poison is composed of Sulfur, Rhenium and Neodymium. If he chooses to read the second entry, he will view a periodic table with the elements highlighted.

If Belikov obtains the vial before speaking with Charkov's secretary.

Belikov: I could schedule a meeting with Charkov and slip this into his tea.

Belikov: Maybe there's a clue to the combination somewhere in the office.

Belikov examines the periodic table on the back wall of the office and locates each element's respective symbol. Piecing together their designated numbers, 16-75-60, Belikov solves the combination lock on the cabinet containing the Nova 6 vials. Belikov obtains a vial of the gas and returns to Charkov's secretary. With the poison in hand, Belikov asks the secretary to schedule a meeting with Charkov.

Secretary: Of course. Right this way.

The secretary leaves his desk and directs Belikov into Charkov's office. Charkov can be heard speaking with a man named Alexei on the telephone.

Secretary: Go ahead and take a seat. He won't be long.

Charkov: (to Alexei) Yes. Mmm hmm. Okay. Well, it's not exactly my investigation. Now you're just flattering me, Alexei. Of course. Yes, that's what I told him. Of course it's an honor. Yes, I will thank the Secretary myself when I have the chance.

Belikov sits at Charkov's desk as the secretary prepares tea.

Charkov: (to Alexei) No, tell Nikita no one trusts him either. Why do you think no one wants to play Durak with him anymore? That's right. Mmm. Mmm hmm. Yes. I should probably get going, Alexei.

The secretary places two cups of tea on the desk before leaving the office.

Secretary: I will be at my desk if you need anything else.

With Charkov's back turned, Belikov places the Nova 6 poison into one of the tea cups. Charkov turns around and takes the other cup.

Charkov: (to Alexei) Yes, I am a busy man. Thanks for noticing. You too, you too. I'll call you tomorrow.

Charkov ends his call and speaks with Belikov.

Charkov: Dimitri! What's on your mind?

Searching for a way to distract Charkov, Belikov examines the portraits on the back wall.

Charkov: The same, mostly. Still begging me to retire early to the country. Ridiculous, isn't it?

Charkov: Still is, my friend. She's aged for better than I have.

Charkov: I'd wager all I own that the Motherland will last far longer than either one of us.

Charkov: Home? Moscow is my home now. If there was something before I'd hardly know it.

Charkov: You were the better pilot, let's admit it! But yes, I miss that part of it. Sad to think we only fly desks now.

Charkov: At times I feel I would gladly swap places with any of them. Terrible, I know.

Every dialogue option causes Charkov to turn his back for a short while. While he is distracted, Belikov has an opportunity to swap the tea cups. After Belikov speaks to Charkov three times or declares that they drink up, Charkov will offer a toast as they raise their cups.

Charkov: To us, Comrade Belikov. Two old warriors still stumbling their way through the dark.

Belikov and Charkov drink from their cups.

Charkov: Tell me, old friend, what are you really here for?

Belikov has three dialogue options to choose from, all of which pertain to the investigation. Regardless of what he says, Charkov will oust him as the mole.

Charkov: Please, stop playing me for a fool, Dmitri. I know you're the mole and that it is this you're looking for.

Charkov places his bunker key on the desk.

Charkov: What's next? Are you going to kill me for it?

After selecting any of the dialogue options or simply waiting, Charkov will collapse and writhe on the floor as he succumbs to the poison. Belikov takes his keycard from the desk. (If Belikov forgets to swap the cups, however, he will die from the poison instead as Charkov asks him what is wrong).

Belikov: Okay, now I need to head to the basement and let Adler's team in.

Belikov exits Charkov's office through the war room. As he walks through, a soldier outside shines his flashlight through the blinds. Belikov avoids being spotted and leaves the room.

Belikov heads to the War Room entrance and lockpicks the door to reach Charkov's office. As Charkov turns his back, Belikov enters his office and quickly stabs him before stealing his keycard.

Belikov: Okay, now I need to head to the basement and let Adler's team in.

As Belikov passes through the War Room, a soldier outside shines his flashlight through the blinds. Belikov avoids being spotted and leaves the room.

Belikov approaches Kravchenko near his office.

Kravchenko: Belikov. Have you dug up my mole yet?

Belikov's only option is "Not yet, comrade."

Kravchenko: No matter. We've discovered additional unauthorized communications. Within hours we will know the exact computer they came from.

Both of Belikov's dialogue options result in the same response from Kravchenko.

Kravchenko: Comrade.

Belikov: I will be exposed soon. In the server room I could point evidence towards Charkov.

Belikov travels to the restricted lower level of the building and enters the server room, choosing to either eliminate or sneak past the guards.

Belikov enters one of the offices and accesses the server computer.

If Belikov accesses the computer before speaking with Kravchenko:

Belikov: They're tracking my unauthorized communications. I can make it appear they originated from Charkov.

The computer presents six server switches that are down for maintenance: 157, 823, 432, 057, 761, and 908. Belikov is then repeatedly prompted to select an active switch. Avoiding the inactive switches, Belikov manages to find Charkov's switch. Belikov searches for unauthorized communications and remaps his call with Adler to Charkov's user. Belikov then prints out the fake evidence and places it in a folder, which he then delivers to Kravchenko.

Kravchenko: Belikov. Have you dug up my mole yet?

Belikov can now accuse Charkov of being the mole.

Kravchenko: Charkov? That's absurd. Where is your evidence?

Belikov presents the folder to Kravchenko, informing him that it is evidence. Kravchenko reads the document and closes the folder, now convinced that Charkov is the mole.

Kravchenko: Huh. I have no idea how this got past me. Charkov will be passing through here soon. When he does, we will apprehend him.

Charkov walks by Belikov and Kravchenko.

Belikov: There is Charkov.

Kravchenko: General Charkov. Just how long have you been spitting on Mother Russia?

Charkov: Excuse me? Do you know who you're speaking to?

Kravchenko: I do now. Your medals will no longer protect you. Please empty your pockets on the counter.

Charkov: Colonel, have you lost your mind?

Charkov deposits his belongings on the counter, along with his bunker key.

Kravchenko: Now step over there and lift your arms to the side.

Charkov: You're serious?

Kravchenko: Fucking do it.

A soldier searches Charkov's body.

Charkov: Is this your way of setting up my fall, Kravchenko? I look forward to hearing the response of the Central Committee.

Kravchenko: Me too. Now go in that room without saying another fucking word. Anything else you need to tell me, you can do it in there.

Belikov retrieves Charkov's bunker key from the counter.

Belikov: Okay, now I need to head to the basement and let Adler's team in.

Belikov heads to the interrogation room near the basement entrance.

Belikov can speak to the soldier guarding the entrance.

Soviet Soldier: Comrade Belikov. We have a dissident inside, Piotr Ivanov. Charkov wishes to speak with him.

Soviet Soldier: I understand he's been collaborating with our enemies. He'll be sent away for good soon.

Soviet Soldier: Yes, Comrade. I've already secured the room, but please go ahead.

Belikov enters the room and speaks to the prisoner.

Ivanov: Whoever you are, you won't get shit out of me.

Ivanov: Help? You need my help? Save your breath.

Ivanov: I don't need to play your games. Just do whatever it is you're going to do.

Belikov exits the room.

Belikov: Ivanov won't cooperate. Nyet. (No.) I should find leverage in the Records room.

Belikov heads to the Records room to obtain the prisoner file, eliminating the armory guard first to avoid being detected. After lockpicking the door, Belikov eliminates another guard inside the room. Belikov then lockpicks another door to obtain the prisoner file.

Belikov: The KGB has his wife and daughter's abductions already planned. That's good. I can use this to my advantage.

Belikov returns to the interrogation room and informs Ivanov of his family's abduction plans.

Ivanov: What? What does my family have to do with any of this?

Belikov orders Ivanov to kill Charkov in exchange for his freedom.

Ivanov: Kill him? I'll try. But swear to this: my own life for my family.

Belikov unlocks Ivanov's cuffs and leaves the interrogation room. As he does so, Charkov approaches him.

Charkov: Belikov! I've just heard the most amusing thing! Let's chat once I'm finished here.

Charkov: (to guard) Comrade. How's our friend doing?

Soviet Soldier: I don't know, sir. He doesn't have much to say.

Charkov: Ah. We'll see about that.

Charkov enters the interrogation room and closes the door.

Charkov: Citizen Ivanov - I trust you are enjoying your accommodations?

Ivanov: Got to hell.

Charkov: Hell is not in my future. Your daughter's future on the other hand...

Ivanov: You fucking...!

Ivanov stands up and charges at Charkov, slamming him against the window. Ivanov then pins him to the table and stabs him in the throat with a pencil before is knocked out by the guard.

Soviet Soldier: Be advised. We have a situation in the holding cell

Belikov orders the guard to keep everyone out of the room.

Soviet Soldier: Yes, sir!

Belikov snags Charkov's keycard.

Belikov: Okay, now I need to head to the basement and let Adler's team in.

Belikov speaks to the soldier guarding the armory.

Armory Guard: Sir. What can I do for you?

Belikov requests access to the armory.

Armory Guard: I'm sorry, Comrade Belikov, but Zakhaev has increased security measures. You'll need authorization from the War Room like everyone else.

Soviet Soldier: I'm sorry, I can't. Zakhaev would have my head on a pike!

If the player continues to use the Persuade option.

Soviet Soldier: How important is pursuing this lead to you?

If the player continues to use the Persuade option.

Soviet Soldier: Ah, a Cuban cigar would really distract me. I'm sure you could find a personal stash in one of the offices.

Soviet Soldier: Good day, sir. / Sir.

Belikov: The guard won't let me in. I need to get what I asked for... or I can take him out.

Belikov has three methods of accessing the armory:

Belikov sneaks into the War Room by lockpicking the door. Inside, he obtains the armory paperwork on a table.

If the player obtains the paperwork before speaking with the armory guard.

Belikov: These will give me access to the armory. Inside, I could get a blank keycard to reprogram it into a bunker key.

As he leaves the room, a soldier outside shines his flashlight through the blinds. Belikov avoids being spotted and leaves the room. Belikov presents the paperwork to the armory guard.
Armory Guard: My apologies for the extra work, sir. You can go in.

Belikov heads to the restricted lower level of the building to search for a cigar, avoiding or eliminating the patrolling guard along the way. He enters the office across from Kravchenko's office and obtains a cigar from the desk. Belikov returns to the armory guard and offers him the cigar.

Belikov sneaks into the recruitment office by lockpicking the door. After obtaining the cigar from a box on the table, Belikov offers it to the armory guard.

Armory Guard: Wonderful! I'll let you in. But this never happened.

(If Belikov obtains a cigar prior to speaking with the armory guard, he will mention the guard's weakness for its brand.)

Belikov sneaks into the Data Entry room by lockpicking the door. After avoiding or eliminating the guard, Belikov crawls through the ventilation system to enter to reach the guard. Belikov takes down the guard and hides his body in a locker before unlocking the armory.

Belikov enters the armory and obtains a keycard from a cabinet.

Belikov: In Data Entry I can program this blank keycard into a bunker key, yes...

Belikov sneaks into the Data Entry room by lockpicking the door. After avoiding or eliminating the guard, Belikov enters the adjacent room and accesses the computer. Using Kravchenko's credentials to log into the computer, Belikov inserts the blank keycard into the reader and uses Charkov's username to remap the keycard. After obtaining the reprogrammed keycard, Belikov leaves the room.

Belikov: Okay, now I need to head to the basement and let Adler's team in.

If Lukas Richter was spared during the mission Brick in the Wall, Belikov may choose to follow Adler's instructions and eliminate Richter whilst searching for a keycard. Belikov finds him in the Recruitment Office and lockpicks the door to get inside.

Richter: Oh. Are you here about my assignment?

Belikov spots Richter sitting alone at the desk and smoking a cigarette. He may choose to view his dossier on the table:

(The dossier is translated from Russian to English shortly after viewing it.)

File Information:

CONFIDENTIAL
EAST BERLIN INFORMANT

FROM: East Berlin, Germany
NAME: Lukas Richter
DOB: 9/22/47

SUMMARY:

Cheap asset. Revealed the identity of East Berliners who were working as assets for the CIA. Potentially useful for [REDACTED].

MEETING AGENDA:

Informant is seeking sanctuary. See what other information you can get out of him and assign him to a detail in [REDACTED].

Belikov kills Richter by snapping his neck.

Belikov: Adler will be pleased. Now I need to focus on the bunker key.

Belikov: Okay, that takes care of everything. I need to let Adler and his team in now.

<tabber>

The player lockpicks Charkov's war room office door.

Instead of choosing nonlethal takedown, the player instead chooses the "Swipe Keycard" option

Belikov: Ok, now I need to head to the basement and let Adler's team in.

Belikov reaches the basement entrance and speaks to the guard.

Soviet Soldier: How can I help you, sir?

Belikov orders the guard to open the gate to perform a security sweep.

The guard opens the door.

Soviet Soldier: Fine.

Belikov enters the basement and travels to the furnace room.

Belikov: Adler's team will need uniforms to get past security. Luring two soldiers into the tunnels should do the trick.

Belikov uses his radio to contact security.

Belikov: Belikov here. Send a security detail to meet me in the furnace room. Immediately.

Belikov approaches a doorway and opens its latch. Belikov shines his flashlight into the tunnel to signal Adler's team. Adler and Bell emerge from the shadows.

Adler: Wasn't sure you'd come through.

Belikov: I don't have much choice, do I?

As Belikov opens the door, the player's perspective switches over to "Bell".

Desperate Measures

[First Name] "Bell" [Last Name], Assault Team

KGB HQ Basement, Moscow

March 9, 1981

Belikov: This keycard gives you elevator access to the bunker.

Belikov hands Adler the bunker key.

Adler: What about uniforms?

Belikov: Shh. Sounds like they're here now. Okay, I will lead them through and distract them. You two do the rest.

Adler: Bell, take cover.

Adler hides between the furnaces while Bell hides behind a pile of crates.

Adler: Keep it clean. The uniforms are no good to us bloody.

Belikov: (in Russian) There-there-there! I found an unlocked door. There is no excuse for this incompetence. We have very strict protocols in place to prevent this, is this clear?

Belikov lures the guards over to the door.

Bell and Adler eliminate the guards by snapping their necks.

Adler and Belikov take down the guards instead, with Belikov using his flashlight to incapacitate the guard.

Belikov: Okay, I have to leave, but you should have everything you need. Now if stopped, you're reporting to Commander Sobol.

Belikov leaves the furnace room.

Adler: Get changed.

Adler and Bell change into the soldiers' uniforms.

Adler:' Here. Our weapons and keycard are in the bag.

Adler tosses Bell the duffel bag before hiding one of the bodies.

Adler: Come on. This way. Once we're in the bunker, we're on our own.

Adler and Bell exit the basement, passing by several guards on the way.

If the player decides to frame Charkov.

A pair of guards drag Charkov into the basement as he desperately accuses Belikov of being the mole.

Charkov: I know you are doing your jobs, but someone is going to suffer for this. It's Belikov, you fools! Go find Belikov! Bring Belikov to me! Bring him! Belikov is the mole! No! No!

One of the guards punches Charkov as he is dragged into the prison.

Charkov: I command you to stop! I am a general!

Bell follows Adler to the basement entrance.

Adler: (in Russian) Comrade. Do you mind letting us through?

Soviet Soldier: Fine.

The soldier activates the gate.

Adler: No metal detectors for us. We're going around.

Bell follows Adler to a doorway beside the metal detectors. As Bell attempts to open the door, a soldier approaches them.

Soviet Soldier: (in Russian) What do you think you're doing? Everyone must go through the checkpoint.

Regardless of Bell says, the soldier will force them to use the metal detector.

Soviet Soldier: (in Russian) Go through the checkpoint.

Adler walks through the metal detector first. As Bell follows him, the detector is alerted.

Soviet Soldier: (in Russian) Comrade, place your bag on the counter for inspection.

Adler: (in Russian) There's no need for that. Let us pass.

Soviet Soldier: (in Russian) Don't take it personally, Comrade. My orders are to inspect everything that comes through - no exceptions.

Bell places the bag on the counter. As soon as the soldier begins to inspect it, Belikov approaches him.

Belikov: (in Russian) Comrade, you are needed by Zakhaev. I will handle this.

Soviet Soldier: Thank you, Comrade.

Belikov pretends to inspect the bag and clears Adler and Bell for entry.

Adler: You're running late, Belikov.

Belikov: I'm here, am I not?

Belikov hands Bell back the bag.

Adler: (in Russian) Let's go.

Bell and Adler walk to the elevator.

Adler: Take us down.

Bell inserts the keycard into the slot. Zakhaev walks in just as the elevator doors begin to close.

Zakhaev: (in Russian) Hmm, fresh faces. When did you two arrive?

Zakhaev: (in Russian) Ah, of course. Who did you say you report to again?

Zakhaev pistol-whips Adler before pointing his gun at Bell.

Zakhaev: (in Russian) Don't take me for a fool! Who are you working for?

Adler: (in Russian) Comrade! Wait!

Bell disarms Zakhaev and jabs him in the throat. Adler then gets up and punches him in the head, rendering him unconscious.

Adler: Elevator conversation always gets awkward.

Zakhaev presses a floor button and exits the elevator.

Zakhaev: (in Russian) Why I have an appointment with him right now! I'll give him your regards.

The elevator doors close.

Adler: It's assholes like that we gotta watch out for.

Bell suddenly puts Zakhaev in a chokehold.

Zakhaev: (in Russian) What are you doing?

Adler punches Zakhaev in the head, rendering him unconscious.

Adler: Elevator conversation always gets awkward.

Bell suddenly puts Zakhaev in a chokehold.

Zakhaev: (in Russian) What are you doing?

Adler punches Zakhaev in the head, rendering him unconscious.

Adler: Elevator conversation always gets awkward.

Adler zips open the bag and pulls out a rifle before passing it to Bell.

Adler: Gear up.

Adler and Bell change into military gear and exit the elevator.

Adler: They won't be happy to see us down here. Wait for my word.

Soviet Soldier: And before Kravchenko could even-

The Soviet Soldiers notice Adler and Bell.

Soviet Soldier: Put those weapons on the ground!

Soviet Soldier: This area's off limits! How did you get down here?

Adler: Bell.

Bell and Adler kill the guards and proceed through a doorway.

Adler: This way to the vault.

Adler and Bell fight through numerous soldiers in the next room as the alarms activate.

Adler: Keep moving towards the vault!

Adler and Bell fight against another wave of soldiers as they push forward.

Adler: Advance!

Adler and Bell face the last wave of soldiers.

Adler: We're getting close to the vault!

Adler and Bell kill the remaining soldiers.

Adler: If things go south, we need to secure our exfil. Place a gas canister in the vent.

Bell pries open a ventilation unit with a knife and places a gas canister inside of it.

Adler: Good. Let's get to the vault.

Adler opens a hatch into a hallway and opens fire on the soldiers.

Adler: We're almost to the vault.

Adler and Bell eventually reach the vault entrance, which is guarded by numerous Soviet soldiers. Adler and Bell kill the soldiers.'

Adler: There's the vault. Open the door. I've got your back.

Bell inserts the bunker key into the slot and pulls the lever.

Adler: You grab the intel. I'll keep watch.

As Bell reaches the terminal, another wave of soldiers appears outside of the vault. The vault doors begin to close.

Adler: We don't have much time before they get through.

Bell inserts the keycard into the terminal slot.

Adler: There's the list, Bell! Copy it to a disk!

Bell copies the data to a floppy disk as the soldiers outside begin to cut through the door.

Adler: We're running out of time, Bell. They're cutting through. They're almost through the door! Get ready - here they come.

The soldiers finish breaching the vault door and open fire on Adler and Bell.

Adler: It's almost done copying!

The data eventually finishes copying and Adler grabs the disk.

Adler: I've got the disk! Let's go! they're locking the place down. Follow me.

A Soviet soldier can be heard speaking through the intercom.

Soviet Soldier: Give up. You cannot escape.

Bell follows Adler through a series of hallways.

Adler: This way.

Soviet Soldier: Surrender, you will not get away.

Bell and Adler make their way through a catwalk, firing at the soldiers in the distance.

Soviet Soldier: Put your weapons down now and you will not be killed.

Bell follows Adler through another series of hallways.

Soviet Soldier: We have blocked all exits. Surrender.

Adler opens a door into another area.

Adler: I don't like this. We're sittin' ducks here.

The lights suddenly go out.

Adler: Keep moving. We need to find a way out.

Adler and Bell make their way through the darkened room as soldiers attempt to ambush them. Adler approaches a doorway at the end.

Adler: This might be a way out.

Adler and Bell reach a doorway, where they find a group of soldiers holding Belikov hostage.

Soviet Soldier: You are surrounded. We have your friend.

Adler: They've got Belikov. Time for plan B, Bell. Activate the gas.

Soviet Soldier: Drop your weapons and surrender or he dies.

Bell activates a trigger, causing gas to pour out of the ventilation. Adler and Bell equip their gas masks as the soldiers are intoxicated.

Adler: When we move, get a mask on Belikov. I'll cover you.

Bell and Adler burst through the door and kill the surrounding soldiers.

Adler: Come on. Move!

Bell quickly puts an extra gas mask over Belikov's head. Adler and Bell help him back on his feet.

Belikov: Thank you, my friends.

Adler: What's the situation up top?

Adler hands Belikov a shotgun.

Belikov: They're on full alert, locking the building down.

Adler: We'll have to fight our way out. We're gonna need some heavier gear.

Belikov: I know just the place, my friend. There are heavy weapons by the elevator where they brought me down. We need to arm ourselves before reinforcements arrive. Keep moving. The gear is this way.

Adler, Bell and Belikov fight another wave of soldiers until they reach the elevator.

Belikov: There's the gear. Body armor, helmets, LMGs and explosives.

Adler: Gear up, Bell.

The three equip the heavy gear and ride the elevator.

Adler: Let's get up top.

Adler contacts Lazar.

Adler: Lazar, meet us in the southeast courtyard in five minutes. And Belikov is hitching a ride.

Lazar: (through radio) Plenty of room in the backseat.

Adler: Once we get off the elevator, just keep moving towards the courtyard. Get the charge ready, Bell.

Adler tosses Bell an explosive charge, which the latter primes.

Adler lowers his helmet as the elevator door opens.

Adler: Let's go, Bell.

Bell quickly tosses the charge out the elevator, where countless Soviet soldiers are waiting. As it explodes, the team opens fire on the soldiers in the lobby.

Adler: Drop 'em! Go, go! Don't stop!

The team proceeds into the lobby.

Adler: We're almost there! Keep pushing!

The team exits the building through a doorway, opening fire on another wave of soldiers.

Adler: Lazar should be just ahead.

Lazar suddenly appears at the other end in a vehicle, running over a few soldiers in the process.

Adler: Go! Go! Get to the car. I'll cover you! Bell, get in the car!

Bell and Belikov enter the car as armored soldiers approach the team from the doorway. Adler kills them with a frag grenade before sliding across the car trunk. After Bell kills more soldiers behind the car, Adler enters the vehicle.

Adler: Floor it! Drive!

As Lazar drives away, countless soldiers open fire on the vehicle. As they reach the tunnel, a few soldiers chase after them in a commandeered car. But are subsequently killed by Adler and Bell.

Adler: Park, we've got the list and we're heading back. Be ready to move.
