Destructible Environment is a gameplay mechanic featured in the campaign levels "Tankers" in Call of Duty 2: Big Red One and "Collateral Damage" in Call of Duty: WWII. In Big Red One, a handful of buildings can be partially destroyed. In WWII, every building in the level can be partially destroyed by explosive weapons such as the Panzerschreck and the cannon of the M4 Sherman. The mechanic is also featured on some of the multiplayer maps in Call of Duty: Ghosts.

In Call of Duty: Vanguard Destructible Environments are seen in the Campaign, every map in Multiplayer via walls and in Zombies. The entirety of Vanguard has some form of Destructible Environment paving the future of Call of Duty as well as a sneak peak for it in Call of Duty: Warzone with the lauch of Caldera during Season One on December 8th.
