Destructible Environment is a gameplay mechanic featured in Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Call of Duty: WWII, Call of Duty: Vanguard, and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

Overview[]

In Big Red One, Destructible Environments can be found in the level, Tankers, in which a handful of buildings can be partially destroyed.

Destructible Environments appear in the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Ghosts where they are featured in various maps.

In WWII, Destructible Environments are found in the level Collateral Damage where every building in the level can be partially destroyed by explosive weapons such as the Panzerschreck and the cannon of the M4 Sherman.

In Vanguard Destructible Environments are seen in every level of the Campaign, every map in Multiplayer, and in the Zombies mode.

Destructible Environments make its return in Warzone 2.0 known as Infil Strikes. They appear exclusively on the map, Rebirth Island. At the start of a match, one of three in-game events can occur that will destroy parts of the map. They are as follows:

  • The Watertower
  • The Prison Rooftop
  • The Lighthouse
