Double Points and its variants double the earned points, cash or Jolts received by a player for most actions for 30 seconds. Since Call of Duty: Black Ops, Nukes, Carpenters and Bonus Points power-ups will also be affected by Double Points, however only applicable when Double Points is active when the points are awarded. On Call of Duty: Zombies, getting a Double Points right after getting a Nuke will award 800 points. The icon for Double Points is a "x2", for Multiplier it is the Roman numeral IIx, for Double Cash it is a $ sign, and for Elektromagnet it is a magnet. Picking up a Double Points powerup while one is active will reset the timer to 30 seconds, with the exception of the Call of Duty: World at War versions of Nacht der Untoten, Verrückt and Shi No Numa, in which the Double Points will stack to become quadruple points. Once finished, the Double Points will disappear with a growling sound only in Treyarch Zombies maps.
Double Points and its variants can be spawned forcefully by using various consumables found in the games. Double Points can be forcefully spawned using the Who's Keeping Score? twice, as part of the nine power-ups with Reign Drops or randomly from the I'm Feeling Lucky GobbleGums in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, or from the Who's Keeping Score? or Reign Drops Elixirs from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Double Cash can be spawned forcefully from the Pay Day Fortune card. Elektromagnet can be forcefully spawned from the Elektromagnet (Double Jolts) Consumable. The only exceptions to Double Points not affecting a point value is the Bonus Points power-up in certain maps, the Mystery Box teddy bear refund, the points found underneath vending machines in World at War only, and hacking something on Moon for Treyarch Zombies. However, using a Hacker on a player while Double Points is active will award the hacked player 1,000 points, while costing the hacker only 500 points.
Upon picking up the Double Points power-up, the Demonic Announcer, or the relevant announcer for that specific map, will say the name of the power-up when picked up. In Treyarch Zombies, this is "Double Points", whereas in Infinite Warfare it is referred to as "Double Money". As there is no announcer in the World at War version of Nacht der Untoten, Exo Zombies or WWII, there is no announcement made when Double Points is obtained.
In Treyarch Zombies, there is a red Double Points that doubles the health of zombies for 30 seconds. It only appears on Moon via a QED, or in Turned if picked up by a zombie. The icon when picked up is coloured blue and black, representing the "negative" Double Points. Additionally, there is a persistent upgrade for Double Points in Call of Duty: Black Ops II that awards an additional function when Double Points is active, which discounts every single purchase by 50%. It is earned by spending 3000 points during a single Double Points activation, and is lost if the player does not spend at least 1000 points during a Double Points period.
