The Drop Pod[1] is a vehicle that appears in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Description[]

Drop Pods are a new method of deployment for soldiers of the United States in the year 2054. Equipped with enough seats for a team of assault troops, along with a computer display built into the ceiling showing the view from the pod's underside cameras, the pod is a good way to rapidly deploy troops into hostile areas. Upon nearing the ground, they will suddenly accelerate, landing on the ground at high speeds to quickly deploy its embarked soldiers. They are apparently able to be rerouted by controllers outside the combat zone in order to avoid any unforeseen obstacles.

They are first seen in the opening of the mission "Induction", deploying U.S. Marines into the war-torn city of Seoul in South Korea. They are also seen in the mission "Crash", deploying the Atlas Quick Reaction Force into Darwin Glacier, Antarctica after Sentinel Task Force operatives stopped the Atlas' Cargo Plane from reaching its destination.
